Avatar f tn Ok this may be long so I apologize but I am feeling very alone and scared and hope someone might have some advice for me. I have been on either norco or percocet on and off since November. Lately I have been on it continually except for when I run out. I am waiting for medical assistance to be able to have surgery on my back for which I am being treated with pain medicine.
478811 tn?1208474960 i would really like to know why I am having withdrawl symtons when I usaully go 13 hrs without my percocet. I usually take 1 1/2 of the 10/325mg and I only cut it to my OLD usual 1 pill and now I am having symtoms. I'm wondering if it's psychological, because I am trying to get off of it or not. Is it possible to have symtoms hust by lowering the dose a little, especially since i took this doe the longest?
Avatar f tn Not only did i drop this but marijuana, subboxone, xanax, and alchol, were all also dropped yesterday as well. Its day 2 and i barley made it through work. Will this last long, and will it get worse.Any help would be appreciated. I work 12 houra day.
Avatar m tn I ran out two weeks early. I was honest with my dr and he put me on clonidine 3 pills a day for 3 days and a patch. It worked I almost feel like my old self. When he refills my meds next week I'm going to not take them unless I am in extreme pain. Learned my lesson!
Avatar f tn So i am now 31 hours clean off a 3.5 year increasing addiction to percocet (got up to 100mg per day). I am wearing the clonodine patch and taking klonopin which keeps me pretty sleepy. When should I expect the real symptoms to kick in? So far it's just been diarrhea cravings and some problems sleeping -- but I slept all day. What should I be expecting?
Avatar f tn My husband has been taking percocet 30 for a long time. He is an addict and he knows it. I think he as up to 12 a day. He told me that this week (which was his vacation) he was going to stop. He is prescribed Suboxone 8mg and clonodine. He took his last at noon. The regiment that he is supposed to do is take an Ambien and go to bed. I wake him at about midnight to give him 1/2 a sub and then when he wakes in the am he takes 1 whole sub. He said that he can't do this.
478811 tn?1208474960 I was given percocet after the surgery, and was told to go to a special pain management place, where i went for over 7 months. because I was active 4 weeks after the surgery, and started to run around and take care of my kids and get back to my very busy life style, I never had real time to relax, and just "chill out". I stopped going to therapy in july, last year, put I continued to need the pain meds.
526311 tn?1229286330 The librium and clonidine are to help you not feel the symptoms (or feel less of them) of w/d. They don't delay w/d if that's what you are asking. The diarrhea is a sign that your body is experiencing w/d. Be thankful the librium and clonidine are working so well. You can take immodium for the runs on top of the other two meds.
Avatar m tn My doctor tried all the drugs you see on TV and in the end I am taking 10mg oxy 3 times a day and .1mg of clonidine 4 times a day. I have tried going a day only taking one of the drugs but only get relief by taking both. While still being on oxy is not the best I did reduce my intake. I was on 30mg oxy 4 to 5 times a day at my highest dose.
497143 tn?1209740782 My boyfriend had gotten neck surgery about a year an a half ago, and he got addicted to percocet's (around 12 a day). Recently his neck started bothering him again, and he got addicted again. Now he's taking 20 a day. He got into trouble yesterday and is now in prision withdrawing. What should i expect when he gets out today? He's coming off them cold turkey and I'm nervous for him. Is there anything I can do to help?
1390687 tn?1281157239 and no withdrawals from the percocet/oxycodone... it all depends on the person and amount and how long the person has been using,.. good luck.
Avatar n tn I have a fear of addiction, so I was taking percocet for two weeks and then tylenol 4 for two weeks. I went away and left my percocet, but had four tylelnol 4. I had gone through withdrawal with tylenol 4. I used to not take it for a week to give my body a rest. The withdrawals were only stomach cramps and diarrhea and imodium took care of that. Now I have more withdrawals (I have only been taking the percocet for three months) the worse is the anxiety and goose bump feeling.
Avatar f tn Do a search-- clonidine is the classic med, but imodium will treat the GI stuff and there are a few other things that have been written many, many times before.
Avatar m tn Otherwise, your body goes the opposite direction and causes higher blood pressure and symptoms you are describing. The clonidine should work for your sleep, too...so try to not use the Ambien as much. Also, you might try Ambian CR...it lasts much longer than Ambien...I've used them both and there is a big difference. I would start the clonidine again, for sure...and then scale it down. Hang in there...day 15 is something to be proud of!
Avatar f tn I feel your pain. I took the leap again two days ago and it's awfull. Does the clonidine work? I wish I could get some. I am broke though and no way to go to the doctor right now. I wish you luck. Just know you are not alone.
478811 tn?1208474960 I'm taking clonidine, with my percocet, and my mastake i took 2 clonidine, that's .2ml, and now i can't move.. I didn't know that this stuff was soooo strong.
Avatar m tn sorry about the delayed response, i went to the hospital and they held me there for 6 hours!! I did get clonidine, and it helped me while i was there, however it is wearing off. I took another now, she gave me a prescription. I am through 13 hours exactly which is still NOTHING! As I said before, however, it is better than 8.5. I was just laying in bed after a hot shower and really got the "creepy crawlies" (RSD). I got up and came down to check.
3160774 tn?1343705010 Have been on Fentanyl patches 125/hr every 48 hours and 4-5 Percocet daily plus maybe 8 10mg Vicodin a day. How long before starting the Suboxone should I stop all of these meds. I have Clonidine for withdrawals how can it help. I am scared to death. Have never been in withdrawal from Opiates. I was told 36 hours prior but am so afraid of precipitated withdrawals. Has anyone been here that can give me some advice?
1446539 tn?1284552849 let me have about 16 Gabapentin to try. That was awesome!! I took 4 a day, and I did not once even think about Percocet (well, for at least 2 days). Plus, I felt better than any pain pill ever did. I was energetic, friendly...almost flirty! LOL But 4 days was not enough, I guess. I went right back to Percs. Do you think my Doc would prescribe Gabapentin to me for withdrawal reasons? Oh, as for what I would normally take. I usually get 10mg Oxycodone Hydrochloride/650mg Acetaminophen.
Avatar n tn I am on Percocet 10/325 and have been for 1.5 years for neck and back pain. I read some of the posts and someone suggested using Jeffjeff's method but I couldn't find it. If anyone has it, can you email it to me at ***@****. I've tried going off this stuff cold turkey and the withdrawal symptoms are way too overwhelming. I can't do it. It is literally torture, it is hell! I'd much rather deal with the pain than be a prisoner to Percocet.
Avatar f tn If you look in the bottom right hand of the screen there's a section called most viewed health pages. There's something called the thomas recipe. There's vitamins and amino acids that are suppose to help during withdrawals. Many say it helps quite a bit. I myself never tried it. The worst of the physical withdrawals usually last around 5 days or so. It may be more or less. It really depends on the person. The mental part does last longer though.
553001 tn?1218811768 Yes, go to the health pages and read the amino acid protocol! It helps.... I use them still!
6815927 tn?1395511425 I have Backpain coming from a car accident that occurred 14 years ago and i am on fentanyl 100 mcg q 48 hrs and percocet 10/325 8 daily mdd and also oxymoronphone 40mg 2 daily mdd... so i have been on a lot of medication and i too am talking to my pcp about decreasing my medication... i wish u the best and god bless...
Avatar f tn i got out of 30-day treatment for opiates, then fractured my wrist the next day and back on percocets. i am getting my cast off tomorrow and am out of pills except for a couple. i have klonopin. clonidine, lyrica and neurontin. am very scared- can't believe this happened. should i take one-half percocet along with other drugs to help withdrawal? i am mostly scared of extreme depression i get with withdrawal.
5135507 tn?1367163227 Hi, I was on the fentanyl patch, 75mcg every 48 hours and Percocet 10/650. My pain management dr was fired. Cannot find a dr even tho i've had 3 back surgeries. How can I detox off these drugs i've been on for 5 years? Does Clonidine help?
478811 tn?1208474960 I saw you had posted on clonidine as well I may have missed your major story as i have only read these 2 posts and it is a bit unusual to use clonidine for WDs from 30 mg of percocet per day..But if it helps you quit and you feel the need to quit...by all means..use the clonidine...have i missed something? not being facetious but not sure I am up to date on everything that is going on...call me crazy!
