578589 tn?1217724049 I've had sweaty hands for as long as I could remember. Many times I started to think it was a condition of Hyperhidrosis, but there has also been other reasons explaining why my hands excessively sweat. The other reason why I might have sweaty hands, not Hyperhidrosis, could be due to my personality. Sometimes I get a little nervous when I have to meet new people or just in a unsafe situation. In other words, during a tense situation in my mind.

Avatar f tn I'm looking for an answer to my dilemma. I have an AV fistula or AVM in femoral artery/vein. Probably congenital. 2 weeks ago I had 3 stents placed, but unfortunately that didn't provide lasting results. I did get 3 days relief from severe pelvic pain (due to vasculature congestion?) and the hyperhidrosis stopped as well. The pain and hyperhidrosis have returned and I'm awaiting another surgery.
Avatar m tn Actually, acne and hyperhidrosis have nothing to do with each other, even if you have both. For your back acne, a dermatologist could consider oral antibiotic therapy or perhaps another course of Accutane. Botox is an excellent treatment for armpit sweating. It may also be helpful for sweating of the hands and feet, but requires blocking the nerves on the region to minimize pain, and may be associated with temporary muscle weakness. I have not heard of its use on the forehead.
