It all depends on yourself and family history about how long you go through menopause. Some breeze right through it all like nothing and then you have me who suffer's every night lol the bed has become my number one enemy . You can buy stuff to help ease the symptoms at walmart or cvs or any plaace that would sell them .What I would like to know is what do men go through for menopause? lol Think they have it way too easy!

s due to menopause or D and probably the only way you could figure it out would be to reduce your d dose and see if the hot flashes go away but I don't know if that's a good idea.

Each time I go out in the cold air and come back into my room, I feel a hot flush come on for a few minutes. I sort of go hot and then slightly sweat. It also mentions so many others, that I myself have never experienced. As your doctor says, however, that it could decrease the intensity of hot flushes, that is a good thing. I did find that Effexor certainly controls my anxiety, depression and panics, so it is great for that. See how you go.

Hi I am 42 had cancer when I was 38 after treatment got menopause symptoms for 8 months then got my period back. I have now missed a period and started getting hot flushes and sweats. I plan on going to my doctor to get a blood test done to see if it is a hormone problem and if this is the start of the end of my period. normally i get them if i run out of the meds that im on but this time its different because i havent ran out of my meds and im getti8ng the hot and cold flashes. normally the pattern is i get cold flashes all day long i turn my heater up to 78 degrees and im still cold. than at night when i go to bed its like every hour im having hot flashes than like 30 min utes later it turns to cold flashes.

I just stopped taking Lipotox because I had the same side effects as you did, expecially anxiety attacks and hot flushes. Besides my thyroid problem I also had Graves but thank God my eye is a lot better now. Thanks for your comments.

Hi there, I am tapering down from methadone, was at 130mgs two years ago, and am currently at 41mgs, now tapering 2mgs/ week. I know this is a low and slow taper but still I am not feeling so great. I keep getting hot flashes, nausea and going hot and cold, it's uncomfortable. My methadone doctor suggested clonidine for these symptoms, I know some of you have tried it and I was wondering if it helps much, and is it worth even taking? Thanks for your responses...
