yes it does help but it will knock you on your ***, dry mouth, go to the vitamin store and get L-tyrosine, and get SAM-e, also get melatonin for sleep, either get a potassium supplement for the leg stuff or eat alot of bananas, hope this helps

i was wondering if anyone heard of clonidine and can give me any info id appriciate it my dr just perscribed it for me cause i have been having anxiety ALOT and trouble sleeping and its from going CT from vics thanks god bless you

Hi, all. I'm on Day 5 and entering Day 6 of withdrawals. Went to work this morning, but the anxiety and panic are really bad. I quit taking the clonidine becuase I was afraid of being on it and I didn't like the dry mouth. Now I'm thinking the dry mouth is better than the anxiety! Have any of you used clonidine (.1mg), and when did you start and stop taking it through your withdrawls? Also, will help the anxiety?

I started taking them the day after I took my last vicodin (120+ days ago) and never took another vicodin. Clonidine helps immensely with a number of the symptoms. However, they will make your mouth dry and could make you very lethargic and tired. after a few weeks, I weened off as per my doctor's instructions. Please note the dosage is ".1 (POINT 1) mg" Jim I highly recommend you consult with your doctor before taking clonidine.

It may give you a bit of dry mouth, but I haven't noticed it making me sleepy. Read the bottle. 1.5mg sounds alot better than .3 mg. I am glad you got that worked out. Have a great day. Yup...it definitely gave me dry mouth and a bad taste....and it can make you tired. It lowers your blood pressure. If you have low blood pressure already and are taking it that might cause it. At the same time, fatigue is a huge part of withdrawal. Its usually the symptom that lasts the longest. Could be that too.

i have a question. i'm gonna try to make this short, sorry if it doesn't end up that way. i was taken to the ER friday because of methadone withdrawal which lead to me wishing i was dead. they gave me an IV with vitamins and saleen, brought in mental health people who spent 5 hours asking if i was suicidal. finally discharged me, not helping one bit..

I take clonidine .2 three times a day and have been for over a year for blood pressure and intially to help with withdrawls as I tapered my dose of methadone down from 100-120mgs a day to 30mg. I still have to take it do to my hypertension, so first thing I would check is his blood pressure, just to make sure that it isnt high. After about 1month of taking clonidine there is hardly any sedating feeling as long as you take it as prescribed, but it can be abused just like any medication.

First, I had a dry nose and mouth throughout the entire 48 weeks and also for a month and a half after finishing Tx. At times my mouth was so dry I could not swallow, especially at night. My nose was also dry and crusty inside. Disgusting. Hope you are not eating, LOL. I measured my water and, in order to get the 1 gallon a day (4 liters), I was constantly drinking, day and night. Even without the measuring, I would have been drinking because my mouth was parched and I could not swallow.

I have been everywhere on the web and here and nothing seems to fit, until i did some research and saw that dry mouth is sympotmatic of diabetes. Can anyone shed some light? During the medicine for the reflux I start to have dry mouth and toothache . The toothache went off after 2 weeks and dry mouth is start around .My tongue started to have strange and irradiated feeling like scalding tongue and the upper wall of my mouth also have irradiated feeling . Now I start to have bloated stomach .I really don't know what the main cause of this . Is it anxiety ,reflux or other illness .

Then I started oil pulling bc I looked up dry mouth and throat and some pretty weird things came up. Like sorts of gum disease. Oil pulling helps kill and pull all the toxins out of your mouth. I'm much better now. Still a little dry but I can sleep. Then about my hip (left side) I started stretching (the best I could lol) and made sure I had lots and lots of back,belly and leg support which really helped. I am a 47 year old woman with terrible dry mouth. I have had several tests and the doctor can't find anything in the blood tests. This is miserable! Could this be a symptom of perimenopause and is there some type of medication that could help? I have tried many over the counter remedies and nothing seems to help.

Yea I have dry mouth and nose. I was getting a bloody nose bcuz it was dry. Try using a humidifier.

Is it actually the feeling of being thirsty or just having a dry mouth? If your mouth is feeling dry try sucking on a hard candy or swishing your mouth out with water or mouthwash. If you feel like you are dehydrated unless you drink that much water that warrants a visit with the doc. As coffeebuzz said that can be an indicator of many different issues including diabetes or kidney issues to name a few. How often are you using the bathroom?

I did some research for you and found out that dry mouth can be a symptom of opiate withdrawal. I read that you can suck on ice cubes, chew gum or mints BUT it will pass with time. There is also special toothpaste for those with excessive dry mouth.

t seem to get rid of my thirst. I will drink. Until. My stomach hurts and I still feel dry. I hardly ever drink enough and when I am pregnant I try to drink enough and the way I know I am drinking enough is that I won't be thirsty. I just wish that I did not feel like I am thirsting to death. I even feel light headed and dizzy. And tired which is normal this early in pregnancy but it makes me feel like I am really thirsting to death. Glad to know I am not the only dried out pregnant woman.

Now after 5 from first and 3 days later I am having a really bad dry mouth and little bit of sore throat . I have fingered/ rubbed them beu had a protected sex .... Is this ars symptoms ??
