Avatar f tn a potent one and has a side effect of drowsiness cos it slows everything down..so it helps the runs, sleep, anxiety etc. If u have a low blood pressure as a rule, it is not a bad idea to check it if u can after u take it, specially if u feel dizzy or light headed upon standing. If possible, I would take the first dose at a time i didnt have to work..before bed...
1283286 tn?1312911966 Hi Dave ! That sounds like a good combo. The Amitriptyline takes a few days to kick in. It works a bit differently than the SSRI's and will cause drowsiness and lethargy. I took it a long time ago for chronic pain and only noticed the sleepiness. I didn't stay on it very long because of that...but I've known many people who have had good results from taking it. V.
Avatar f tn the hydroxyzine parmoate is a antihistamine and also used for anxiety, it can cause drowsiness. if it continues let her know and she can adjust the dosage. when was your last dose of the percocets? how are your symptoms? you are on the road called recovery. good for you.
Avatar m tn its rare and to hear your success fills me with hope, that is amazing. about your sleep cycle and the drowsiness..the drowsiness you are feeling is primarily your body adjusting from having the methadone that was built up in your system, and the xanax you werent on long enough to have problems or wds from..xanax does ahve a half-life of 8-12 hrs, so if you have taken it within two days it could be the after effects of that, the drug will stay in your blood stream for about almost 24hrs.
Avatar n tn Not sure the clonidine and ambien are both used to help with sleep in the evenings. the only thing I can see that might cause the restlessness is "(sleeping most of the day)". The mental confusion may be caused by not sleeping the meds off at night. If you think the problem is because of the medication try eliminating one of the two for a night or so and see if the problem subsides... other than that I'd say talk to the doctor.
Avatar f tn I have been having drowsiness since past 4 months, sometimes with and without nausea. I have got my MRI of the brain, certain blood tests which were normal. one of the doctors diagnosed is as muscle spasm but i am so confused whats going on. please help me! Thanks!
374251 tn?1246235657 t want to go back to same clinic and I no longer had much money for it anyway. I did research and ordered Clonidine, Atarax, and Catapres from an online pharmacy which would ship without Rx. Results weren't very positive. Clonidine didn't do much for me, Atarax helped me sleep a bit and Catapres didn't do a while lot either. I don't remember the dose I took of Clonidine but they were .15mg pills, so I prob took one twice a day.
Avatar f tn I was incredibly tired and dizzy after taking the vistaril about 8 p.m., and then the Clonidine and 25 mg trazadone closer to bedtime. I had some strange sensations and lay awake all night.I have been only averaging 3-5 hrs, a night for over 2 months. It's awful. I also can't stop trying to figure out a solution to this mess, so my mind races & I worry about it a lot. I don't see a good way out of this situation. Can't nap either, just can't sleep.
Avatar m tn sciatic nerve damage. The Gabapentin works great, aside from the fact that I get brain fog and drowsiness. This drug separates me from pain, however, makes me a zombie! Does anyone know of a drug or supplement that I can take with the Gabapentin to combat the somnolence?
Avatar n tn Despite being very happy with the medication overall, I continue to suffer from drowsiness and the need to sleep more - up to 12 hours a day compared to my normal 7 hours a day before I used to take cipralex. I am sure this is directly due to cipralex even though the side effect is not listed as a common side effect of taking cipralex.
Avatar n tn I was wondering, how does clonadine help with withdrawls? I have been taking percocet for 5 years now for RSD. started at 5/325 3x a day, and 5 years later am taking 6-8 10/325. I have been tapering fast, like 2 5/325 a day, and feel poopy, to put it kindly, but making myself function as best I can. My hubby is very caring and understanding about it. I know these pills help me with my pain, but I in the last month caught myself taking 8 a day instead of the prescribed 6 a day.
Avatar f tn Also my doctor prescribed a medication called Provigil to help counteract the drowsiness caused by my medications because I do take several and all of them may cause drowsiness. Perhaps you can research Provigil and see if that may be an option for you, I know it has helped me tremendously. Good luck!
Avatar m tn I will stick on the last half mg for a couple of weeks, and see how things develop. I know that fatigue and drowsiness is not listed as a side effect of zocor, but there is a lot of stuff on the net suggesting the side effects of statins are far more extensive than we realise. Anyway, I have been off of it for five days now, with no change to the fatigue. Will probably risk staying off for a couple of weeks, and then go back on. Thanks for your comments.
Avatar f tn Has anyone any experience with Clonidine and Lassix in pregnancy? Do they cause miscarriages?
Avatar m tn 2 weeks after my last unprotected encounter, i have been experiencing drowsiness, and between 7pm and 8PM i start to get really sleepy which is not my usual. It's 4PM and the whole day today i feel like i wanted to lie down and sleep. i remember going to sleep last night at 8pm and waking up at 4am today. I think that is enough sleep, yet it feels like i wanted more.
1831849 tn?1383228392 I just started taking baclofen for spasticity and recently upped my dose to 10mg 3X/Day. It helps but the associated drowsiness is killer. There are times when I'm sitting at work and just can't keep my eyes open. Any thoughts on alternatives or ways to combat the church nods? Caffeine is not an option as it wreaks havoc with my bladder...
4462086 tn?1355115778 When the headace unloosen its like av wave of pressure going down my body. The result is muscel weakness and drowsiness. Often i get confused a cries a lot. And it feel like a am drunk? Sometimes i also walk like a drunk. I hate this feeling. I do not drink or use any kind of substanse (expect of activelle - østrogen). Avatar f tn 1mg - Robaxin 500/ - Bentyl 10/ - i know that robaxin is for muslces and the clonidine ( i googled) and said it was for hypertension. will these work for me? has anyone else had experience with any of these. they seem to be very low doses, i'm worried with tolerence level, they won't help me. I feel like i had the flu, but coming out of it, but now the depression and anxiety are really kicking in, palpations at times... any information would be greatly appreciated. thanks!!!
Avatar n tn As Lulu747 I also used clonidine while tapering off opiates and just wanted off and went cold turkey over a year ago. (morphine sulfate and fentanyl patch). The clonidine did help with my w/d symptoms as well.
Avatar f tn I have this problem since last year but last year it was due to my my allergy nose. Now my nose is cleared but i am still having this problem, i am feeling totally breathless, and whenever i felt breathless I'll ve terrible headache and drowsiness. I need to breath really hard but still i don't get enough air. I seen a doc again describing my headache too, he suggest that i might having migraine.
Avatar f tn The clonidine will help lower your B/P and it does cause drowsiness so that may help. It's a B/P med and it's not addicting. Good for you for going to see the doctor!!
Avatar n tn my son takes clonidine, he has adhd and the drugs he takes to treat the adhd stop him sleeping so he takes the clonidine for that. didnt know it could be used to help with w/d's, apparently clonidine started life as a treatment for high blood pressure but now has many uses. dont know if there are w/d's from clonidine but my sons doc told us never to take him straight of it because it would cause his blood pressure to rocket.
Avatar n tn You could also try 50mg of benadryl, but you will be a little foggy. I also take .1mg clonidine twice per day. This helps and keeps your heart rate and blood pressure low. Hang in there...your coming off quite a bit, and you may need some help with the anxiety. He also put me on Lexapro 20mg, but it will take a week for that to start to work and about six weeks to really fully work. You've made a good move...stay strong and talk with the people on here!
Avatar m tn But this is often replaced with extreme fatigue and drowsiness. I think the two are connected in some way, as I was far less drowsy when I took lorazepam first thing in the morning for a few months last year. Although I go through periods of poor sleep, the drowsiness can be there even after a good nights sleep.
