Avatar f tn Karin, Here is the (a?) manufacturer who makes them (the 0.025 mg ones) in Canada: http://www.apotex.com/ca/en/products/detail.asp?m=44296 Not sure if you already had that information? It may be helpful to try contacting them and asking which pharmacies in your area they supply? If you're willing/able to get your meds through a mail order pharmacy, the following Canadian mail order pharmacies carry the dosage you want: http://www.canadadrugs.com/search.php?
Avatar m tn Furthermore, the standard practice is to start the child out at 30mg vyvanse and slowly increase the dosage. Did your doctor do this? If not - that's part of the problem (besides the doctor). You can read more about dosing and other parent/child reactions to vyvanse here - http://www.addadhdblog.
Avatar f tn gave me a scipt for clonidine and i have not been hearing good things about it .. he said it would help the subs work better. i told him i already have low blood pressure and he still gave it to me and didn,t even check my blood pressur ....
Avatar f tn the withdrawals are starting to kick in with jerks and tears without crying and insomnia. i took half of a .1 mg pill and feel nothing yet but mind you, i also am used to taking VAST doses of valium and xanax. my blood pressure is normally very low, but i'm also a benzo addict, so is this stuff gonna work to help me sleep when 5 xanax didn't? will it work at all? i don't wanna take too much and have my bp go down to 40/20.
Avatar m tn Im off of work now and can do this. anyway, i have some clonidine pills. I was wondering the regimen. Do you just take them for symptomatic relief? Some info would be greatly appreciated.
473384 tn?1210206242 Hi, i read your advice on taking clonidine for withdrawals. I have 1 mg. clonidine and am going thru withdrawals. How many should i take thru the day and night? I do not have low blood pressure. Also, i am on morphine 30 mg. and hydrocodone 10mg. I take 3x's a day.
349859 tn?1257790973 Thank u! I have been thru wd before but from percs and oxys. This time its subs and I've been in them for 4 and a half yrs. I'm trying to prepare myself for what's to come. I've got myself down to 1 mg and plan to go lower but I've heard horror stories when it comes to getting off subs. The worse part of wd for me is the anxiety and chills. My heart races and I get very nervous feeling. I've heard some say clonidine helps when going through wd.
198154 tn?1337787265 Clonodine is a blood pressure medication that helps immensely with leg cramps and those hot/cold flashes, it will also help with the anxiety and some other w/d symptoms like insomnia. Just make sure you watch your blood pressure is all I'm asking. Be safe. You will only need it during the acute w/d phase....the first 2-4 days in most cases. Also, if you get 0.1 mg tablets, I would recommend that you only take 1/2 at a time.
589824 tn?1238796813 I take clonidine .2 three times a day and have been for over a year for blood pressure and intially to help with withdrawls as I tapered my dose of methadone down from 100-120mgs a day to 30mg. I still have to take it do to my hypertension, so first thing I would check is his blood pressure, just to make sure that it isnt high. After about 1month of taking clonidine there is hardly any sedating feeling as long as you take it as prescribed, but it can be abused just like any medication.
401554 tn?1270213756 I was always had a slow heart rate all my life, but I think the clonidine slowed it some more down to 50-52 bpm. It keeps the BP in excellent numbers. Below 120/80 most of the time. jdrtwin1 And the Cardiologist I saw told me "I hate beta blockers, I want you to stop them right away", my heart rate on beta blockers dropped to 30 bpm and I could not do anything I was so fatigue, and it wasn't even a high dosage, and he then gave me the clonodine patch. I never felt better.
Avatar f tn Did doctor give you medication and this dosage? Are you sleepig well? How is your diet? Being tired during WD is normal too.
Avatar f tn My fiance has also been prescribed Clonidine. .1mg in the AM. I think this is too little amount for him. He's everybit of 230LBS but he says it's really working. My problem is that it's been a week and a half, and I havn't seen ANY withdrawl. Yet he's supposed to ONLY be taking the Clonidine. Since you take it, you know more. Do you think in my case there is still some pill poppin going on that's he's hiding?
Avatar f tn t doing much so I called my regular doc and he is going to put me on Klonopin ( Dosage unknown until I get script tomorrow). From what I can tell these are 2 totally different drugs. Has anyone used Klonopin for opioid withdrawls? If so, how well did it work? Has anyone used both? If so, which worked better for you?
237152 tn?1206651036 I have detoxed several times with a combo of clonidine and benzos and it was pretty much a sleeping cure from dope or methadone.
Avatar f tn Could be the Clonidine. Sounds like you were taking hefty amounts? How is your BP? Discontinuing Clonidine can cause a rebound hypertension. Be sure your doc is aware you were on it, and how much you were taking.
Avatar f tn re already taking high blood pressure meds, you need to ask him about that and perhaps you can switch to Clonidine to get the benefit from the high blood pressure meds and help with the w/d's. I would say that the Clonidine cut at least 50% of my w/d's if not more. It will almost completely get rid of sweats, chills, even bone and joint pain that you feel with opiates.
Avatar n tn Anyway, I just passed my 3rd week off the Vics and I went off cold turkey. I had some help though.....I had some Clonidine....it helps allot with the w/d's, in fact I'd say it probably helped cut the w/d symptoms in half. In the longrun going ct is better and easier. In the short term, it's harder, but if you have Clonidine, it's not that bad. I'd say I had w/d's for about 10 to 14 days with the worst of them lasting for 4 or 5 days.
1935252 tn?1329757119 How much clonidine are you taking? How often? I'm on day 6 of opiate withdrawal and taking .1mg every 4 hrs-but I was taking a lower dosage while tapering my meds before jumping off cold turkey. The symptoms it helps are the racing heart and the gastrointestinal-everybody is different. It doesn't stop the sweating, chills, or the RLS which for me has been the worst besides the sleep deprivation. Consider upping your dosage but make sure you keep an eye on your blood pressure.
974371 tn?1424653129 While if the symptoms are moderate-severe, you may discontinue the medication for a few days and seek a review with your treating doctor if a dosage reduction would be required before restarting the medication. Hope this is helpful. Take care!
478811 tn?1208474960 I'm taking clonidine, with my percocet, and my mastake i took 2 clonidine, that's .2ml, and now i can't move.. I didn't know that this stuff was soooo strong.
Avatar f tn Thanks to your encouragment, I went to my doctor and told her the absolute truth. It was hard, but I'm glad I did it. She gave me 2 meds for withdrawl symptoms - Clonidine and Hydroxyzine Pamoate. I took them and slept all afternoon. Now I feel spacey - it was a huge effort to get out of bed. I don't know how I am going to operate and have a normal life like this - thank goodness it's Friday and I have the weekend without work.
Avatar m tn Yes they will help. Don't exceed the dosage though. And don't take them for very long, or you will end up having to be weaned off of them. Try not to take the valium. It's a benzo and addictive, but I'm guessing you know that!
374251 tn?1246235657 t want to go back to same clinic and I no longer had much money for it anyway. I did research and ordered Clonidine, Atarax, and Catapres from an online pharmacy which would ship without Rx. Results weren't very positive. Clonidine didn't do much for me, Atarax helped me sleep a bit and Catapres didn't do a while lot either. I don't remember the dose I took of Clonidine but they were .15mg pills, so I prob took one twice a day.
Avatar f tn I finally managed to quit the opioids, and clonidine helped so much. But now I need to taper it,so it does not spike my blood pressure, and avoid the sweating that I get when I forget a dose.I'm taking 800 mg a day,200 mg /6hrs. Thanks for any help!!
203003 tn?1210855907 Hang in there. Lot's of people use the Clonidine and say it really helps. I'm on day 6 of similar dosage that you were on, and it really does get better. Day 2 and 3 were not fun...but it's just your body resetting itself. If I were doing this over, I would go through my doctor and ask to be tapered and have supporting meds (including clonidine). I just use Ambien CR at night...help with the RLS and getting good sleep. I wish I would of had the clonidine...
