The title says bed wetting or does she also do it during the day ? Punishing for wetting doesnt work it creates an anxiety,hence hiding the underwear, If she is doing this at nights cut back on all liquids after early eveing, as children do want to drink a lot before bed, the doctor is right and she will grow out of it, at 5 year old does she go to many camps or friends over night ? relax a bit make less of an issue , sometimes just taking that step back helps .

I'm 18 and I am exactly like you regardinf this bed wetting. Sometimes I go dry for weeks and other times it could be a couple of times a week. I make sure I dont drink hours before I go to bed. Remove the pullups and place a mat under her sheet the pullups enable the wetting,however make sure she is happy and not upset about anything, does she like being at her Grand parents house,and her Dad does have the right and should talk to his mom about the issue and ask why she is flipping out, a good idea would be for her Dad to talk to his daughter first and get some feedback how she feels about living at her grandparents.
