Avatar f tn The reason that the other poster could have been cured by cipro is that she may have had a Mycoplasma and it may have been sensitive to ciprofloxacin. But the standard treatment for bv is either metronidazole or Clindamycin. So you can try the cipro and see if it clears up but if it doesn't then if can take clindamycin I would then take probiotics after. Cipro can treat a lot of UTI's but not all. It depends on the bacteria that is causing the infection and how resistant it is.

I have simple partial seizures and was on xanax on an "as needed" basis to control some nervousness about going back to college. I was on it for about 2 months. I started realizing I got less of my sensory and motor seizures which have always been uncontrollable since I started getting them back in 2000.

948202 tn?1245941816 Ok another question. Since my skin is very dry and flaky, i wanted to add a step to my morning regimen. I got some samples from the dermatologist of something called skin medica hydrating complex. It has hyaluronic acid in the form of a serum. Also, i use clindamycin phosphate lotion to prevent breakouts during the day. If i add this underneath the clindamycin, will it stop the clindamycin from working? Will the serum cause breakouts? It says it is for all skin types.

Avatar n tn Tooth was pulled and was sent home with an Rx of Clindamycin (150mg), 4xday. Infection got worse. Dentist, then used a lazer to open and drain the infected area. Several shots (7-8) of novacaine was needed to numb the area. After procedure, my mouth hurt and burned the worst that I've ever experienced before. The infection is still there. Avatar f tn I have read that clindamycin is a commom drug prescribed to ppl before dental work to prevent endocarditis in those with heart problems, so why would they prescribe it to someone with heart problems if it is bad?? This being said, should I still be concerned about taking the medicine?

A correct nutritional balance and skin care will be helpful. Drink plenty of water every day. Take 7-8 hours of sleep daily. Have a balanced diet rich in vitamin A, zinc and rich in multivitamins.

Your physician may choose to treat the bumps with other topical medications, such as metronidazole, erythromycin, benzoyl peroxide, tacrolimus, clindamycin, or pimecrolimus.
