Alternatively, you can take clindamycin for the bv and drink a boat load of cranberry juice for the UTI and water of course. It will take longer to clear up the UTI but it should work. It did for me in a pinch. It just took a couple of extra days. Of course if you are diabetic you can't.
Its like every month since July I have to take a dose of clindamycin HCl twice a day for seven days... July I took flagyl for two days was allergic to it so they gave me clindesse vaginal cream for my baby! Then august found out I still have it and they have me take this clindanycin HCl tablet. Then august 27th, ugh I still have it!! They're making me take the same ****. Sorry im just a lil bit disappointed nor upset. Yup its clindamycin HCl again for seven days twice a day!

Shortly after, I noticed several small, wavy skin areas, and when I stretched the head of my penis, they were tiny, flesh or white colored bumps about the size of a pen point.
Chlamydia has never shown resistence to the macrolide antibiotics such as azithromycin nor the tetracylines such as doxycycline. Clindamycin has no effectiveness for treating Chlamydia. Cipro is iffy for both Chlamydia and Enterococcus infections. Notice right away that it smelled a lot like asparagus. Not sure if this normal. Have been on antibiotic Macrobid for a small UTI and the week before on clindamycin 300mg 2x day. Could not handle that. Beside the Dentist told me I had infection, when in reality I did not. Took that for no reason. So long story short. Any advice for why it smells like this?
I took azithromycin, the 5 days course, but it did not help. I had also taken clindamycin a week before due to also having a uti. I noticed that the sore throat cleared up a little while on clindamycin, but it returned. When I had gone to my doctor after two weeks of having a sore throat, she told me that she guesses that it is tonsillitis, but the test came back negative for an infection. I think that's odd, because I definitely see white spots on my tonsils.

ve been getting bacteria in my throat from my fan. And for some reason the antibiotics they give me only cures a portion of it. I'm afraid this will do the same thing. It makes sense not to take the prednisone if there's no swelling. I guess once the clindamycin finishes then I guess I'll see what they'll prescribe me with. Maybe more antibiotics?

has given me 10 days of clindamycin to be taken 3 times a day at a dose of 450 mgs. this is fine, i can take clindamycin with no ill effects.
HOWEVER, i have read that this drug is not commonly used to treat std's as there are so many better options. Is clindamycin going to work??? Thanks.
I know I've had BV for a couple of months (since I finished a course of antibiotics for previous UTI caused by e.coli). The odor after intercourse is a clear sign. I did not want to see my doctor AGAIN for a problem "down there" , so I just lived with it. Now I have another UTI! Preliminary path. report states:" 50x10(6) CFU/L Gram negative Bacilli. Identification and susceptibility to follow. " I really don't want to go on meds again, but probably have no choice.
Topical Terbinafine cream did not help doctor is treating with Ketoconazole 2% shampoo and topical Clindamycin 1%. I may be noticing a 10% increase in my normal gray follicles at two weeks treatment. I would love to send a picture.
however, an MRI scan was interpreted by my podiatrist that I had a bone infection (cellulitis) on the tip of my big toe bone. I visited an urgent care center a month ago, and was diagnosed with Bacterial Vaginitis & a UTI. I was given Macrobid & Clindamycin. Finished treatment with those, and I still had some burning after urination, not really during, but afterwards. It was a very uncomfortable heated sensation that I couldn't really pinpoint. So I saw my regular doctor, not an ob/gyn.
I don't know if this is the right place to post this question but it seems like I'm having trouble posting it anywhere else. I recently had an outbreak of cellulitis on my leg that spread quickly. I went to the emergency room where they sent me home on erythromycin. A day later, is was much worse and had spread down my leg, up my buttocks and below the knee. I went to my GP who then prescribed me clindamycin on top of the erythromycin and codeine for pain.
I'm allergic to penicillin and sulfa. Dentist prescribed Clindamycin 150 mg for 10 days for infection in my tooth. Got hives, rash, swollen lips and extreme itching and blotches from head to toe. Was on vacation so stopped medication after 3 days of taking it. It is now 5 days taking benadryl and the hives and itching have not stopped. What is in the clindamycin that I may be allergic to?
I have some clindamycin but not sure if that is an appropriate medication for a cat. he weighs 11 lbs.
