can i take Tylenol and ibuprofen (switching every 4hrs) while taking clindamycin
Oh, 1 more thing, about the DIV, I'm thinking maybe that's my issue too, but only in that 1 spot because the treatment for it is hydrocortisone and clindamycin (vaginal). Every time I have a flare up, it takes clindamycin to make it go away. Good luck.
He put me on the same medications I had in Dec. (I am allergic to Vicodin and Tylenol 3) I called two days ago and spoke to him about the pain etc. He seemed totally surprised that I was back in pain. He phoned in another prescription for Clindamycin 300MG and said he would call me in a few days. He also asked if I was sensitive to hot or cold. I am not. But putting pressure on the tooth relieves the pain somewhat. He said it may be cracked! Shouldn't he have known this from the xrays?
I can sympathize with you all. I myself just recently started experiencing dizziness associated with allergies. I turned 40 this year, and I have suffered from seasonal allergies for about ten years now, but it has never been accompanied with dizziness. I reside in NY and we have been having lots of rain lately, and for the past two weeks I have been experiencing dizziness.
I was put on amoxicil 3 days ago and has not helped at all. My doctor switched me to clindamycin now and gave me tylenol 3's and advil for pain. My face is very swollen and extremly painful even with all the meds. My dentist said he cant do anything while Im pregnant and referred me to an endodontist who i cant get into for 2 weeks. Any advice on how to cope with this pain? Can a root canal be performed while the infection is there?
I was in a Dka (went into a diabetic coma), my blood sugar was close to 1000. I had pancreatitis and gall bladder disease. I delivered the baby premature and slipped into the dka and woke at a later time in the Icu. My baby survived with 73 days in Nicu and is doing well now. After I was moved down out of icu to risk maternity, I began having severe vision problems. They had stabilized my blood sugar.
I called the dentist today and he is changing my antibiotic to clindamycin. Is there something more severe going on? The pain is not relieved by tylenol any longer.
I called the dentist office Thurs. and they returned my call today and said pain should be subsiding and they would get in touch with the dentist who did the root canal and get back to me. I called them again and now office is closed but will reopen Sat. morning. I am beside myself with this pain. Is there any other OTC product that is better to use.? I cannot take Aleve it does not agree with me.
Moderate pain that is resolved with plain tylenol, no fever. He has been rinsing with salt water and applying ice a few times a day since Friday night. I am an RN, and am confident it does not warrant a visit to the ER. I have Ciprofloxacin po 500mg and Amoxicillin (?dose) available. Should we just continue with the rinses and ice apps or should I start him on one of these antibiotics. I definitely have 12 of the Cipro and do not know at this time how may Amoxicillin are available.
I'm on a pile of meds too, I have albuterol, pulmicort, zantac, tums, vicodin, Tylenol, clindamycin, and aspirin. We're not supposed to take aspirin while pregnant so my doctor would surely be disappointed in me if she knew, but at this point I don't care who approves of what, I have ten days left and my cavities are murdering me, I feel like my teeth are being crushed. I'm also coming down with something, don't know what yet.
Systemic administration of clindamycin+metronidazole can help clear up infection effectively. Acetaminophen(Tylenol)+ibuprofen(Advil)can ease post op pain effectively.
Thought it was due to antibiotics and pain meds, but have been off of everything for 2 weeks except Tylenol and ibuprofen. (mostly Tylenol) -Slight sinus inflamation & tight breathing. Nothing is blocked, but it feels like I'm not breathing as freely as normal and that I can't fill my lungs. It may be anxiety, but I don't know for sure. Comes and goes. -Blood pressure rises particularly at night. Had to get my BP medicine changed to get BP down to normal.
I was then getting a lot of allergies and post nasal and was then coughing. Doctor prescribed Prednisone,Zithromax, Acyclovir [for cold sores] and Clindamycin cap 300 mg for sinus infection. Just lately I got acid reflux.... hard to swallow... even when I did it was bad... slight burning to severe burning feeling on the left hand side of my mid upper chest area. I went back again to see the doctor who told me the coughing, wheezing [which now both had stopped...
He felt it was a virus of some sort and that I should wait it out. Aspirin, Aleve helped with the symptoms and it appeared that when taking Aspirin, my fever was reduced and the headach essentially went away. I had been having persistent toothaches for a couple of weeks prior to the beginning of this problem which my oral surgeon treated with Amoxycillin. The Amoxycillin always brought the toothache infection under control.
He went up to Maria (Insurance biller) and told her to put me on the schedule tomorrow which she did. He then came back and gave me a prescription for Clindamycin to take 3 times a day and that he will start the word on my two teeth on Wed. after my cleaning is over with. U checked with Maria and I will see him (the endodonist) at 11:00 a.m. I will post again when I return home after seeing the periodontist.
Anyways I think during me throwing up, my blood clots got dislodged on the upper and lower left side. And I had been getting pain radiating from my ear to my jaw and aching teeth.
All you can do to help it is actually take a needle and pop it. Lol. Or take a hot bath and allow it to come to a head and then try and pop it like you would a zit with your fingers. Yeah those suck. I shaved all my hair off and got an ingrown on my butt and it got really painful but burst on it's own. At least it's there and not on your ball sack. Got one there one time and freaked out of course upon finding a lump on it. Luckily it was just a really bad boil.
When i woke up Saturday Dec 25 the whole left side of my face was swollen so i continued to take my antibitotics and woke up sunday to find the swelling had only spreed to the underneth my eye and the side of my nose in the cornor of my eye so i called the denist back and he imidiatly took me in for an emergancy visit he has now put me on clindamycin 2 capsules every 6 hrs and it will help rid the infection and after that it will reduce the swelling and i have to see an oral surgon to remove th
Dr just came in and said well...you probably need a root canal and gave me and RX for vicodin and Clindamycin. Pain did get better over the weekend however now the lower teeth, are hurting as well as my lower jaw. Tylenol and Ibuprofen help but pain is still there when it wears off. Could the crowned tooth be higher than the other teeth causing it to put more pressure on the ones below?
I had the bottom left 8 done Oct 1st and now nearly 4 weeks later, I am still in constant pain. It is controled with ibuprofen and tylenol but if I don't take them I am in agony. I had a root canal done on the back molar on thursday Oct 23rd but it doesn't seem to help. The pain is sometimes in the soft tissue under the mandible, sometimes in the teeth themselves, it's hard to tell which one. I've started Clindamycin as well Is it normal to still have this kind of pain 4 weeks later?
I had been controlling her pain with ibuprohen and tylenol but it seems to be less and less effective and she is experiencing a lot of jaw and neck pain. Should I take her to the emergency dept. tonight and not wait until tomorrow? She has only had 1 does of the antibiotic so far and is due for another dose tonight before bed. She is breathing ok but is have more difficulty talking and swallowing.
I think you should be ok. Before I found out I was pregnant, I was using a face cream called Clindamycin, and taking low dose Vicodin for pain, that I thought was from a kidney stone, and I had a margarita. Just make sure from this point on, you call your doc before taking any prescription or over the counter meds. Good Luck!!
Treatment for G. vaginalis is a combination antibiotic with metronidazole and clindamycin. You will have to post details of the other antibiotic to check whether it comes under the spectrum that G. vaginalis is sensitive to. ALso, antibiotic resistance of vaginalis infections have been increasing, so it would be best to switch to the other antibiotics mentioned above or have a culture sensitivity done to identify which antibiotic the bacteria is sensitive to.
I haven't taken any pain medicines except Tylenol for over 2 months now and still I can't seem to remember things and I seem so cloudy, like I'm working through a haze (but my vision is fine). I'm allergic to Ibuprofen, I found out during this whole ordeal, so it's been over 2 months since I've taken it in any form. I just can't stay focused on tasks at hand. (4) Fatigue continues to plague me and I know I'm still somewhat recovering but I'm so tired all of the time.
Ob said tylenol 3 is ok. I just wanna be able to sleep and eat and rest for labor!
I had a dental implant and another tooth extracted about 3 weeks ago, and I am in terrible pain still. I am on Clindamycin now and it is working much better on the pain, but it it still there and I cannot really tell where the pain is coming from, because it is hurting on the side of my face close to my ear.

Pharma-I would bet you $100 that if I took a norco within an hour I would have a normal temp. And I've been taking tylenol AND motrin alternating since the weekend and it isn't kicking the fever. I'm not making this up. Is it possible that my body got so use to the combo in the norco that plain tylenol isn't working? I don't know if you recall me posting about the fevers I was having a while back, but I've literally had these low grade temps for about 2 weeks.
