benzaclin

difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
I now have runny, bloodshot eyes too. He did a culture and started me on Clindamycin, sulfacetamide, eye drops and Mupirocin cream that I put in my nose or use in my sinus rinse. I went for a CT scan to rule out surgery and suggested that he drain the fluid behind my ear. I asked if I could wait until the culture came back to see if I have MRSA. I know it may still need to be done and that is great if it works but I was afraid to be cut on if I do have it.
It does not matter what i eat, it generally does not digest well and if i eat anything spicy it burns really bad the next day at the site of my anus, usually for the entire day. I have kind of a heartburn feeling most of the time and my stomach feels upset some of the times. Ive done research on my own to find that i could have UC, but also the same type of problems I am having are suggesting Crohn's.
she also said that many people seem to have problems with antibiotics ( especially Clindamycin ) making their throats feel that way. Anxiety and depression can also cause that feeling.
I also got a bad reaction to Clindamycin a feeling of big lump in throat, sore throat and severe heartburn. In spite of the fact that I drank at least 10ounces of water with each pill. My question is since I'm allergic to penicillin. What antibiotic is effective for teeth and gum infections???? Thank you.
Started 4/12 Nexium - 40mg 2x day Copaxone Having lots of heartburn and nausea and some insomnia, most likely from steroids. Still coughing up greenish/blood tinged mucuous but getting better. Glands still slightly swollen on the right side of neck. Had 2 episodes of throwing up this week. Last week at the doctor's office in the waiting room and then again yesterday just before starting to eat my dinner. My face actually swelled up a little after yesterday's incident.
I have read about cipro an erythromycin being dangerous for those with a heart arrythmia but I have found much information about the lInk in clindamycin and heart problems. I have read that clindamycin is a commom drug prescribed to ppl before dental work to prevent endocarditis in those with heart problems, so why would they prescribe it to someone with heart problems if it is bad?? I dont take anything for my pvcs nor are they very bad.
i have been on clindamycin, just stopped it without medical advice. i have been so sick with non stop mucous watery diarrhea for the last 4 days, i cant keep anything down. Either im vomiting or have diarrhea, severe abdominal pain, heartburn. Extremely confused between being hungry or if my stomach is so empty. Throbbing headache, should i take myself to the hospital.
I felt the sinus drain and would carry kleenex with me to spit it out. I developed horrid gerd/heartburn/ bad breath and nothing in this world is helping with that and now the chronic sinus infection/problems. In the morings I cough and drain till I literally vomit gobs and gobs of mucous up in the sink. Then I can breathe a bit better. I am on Nexium x 2 a day, Maalox 24-7, Titralac and Pepcid.....Everything I eat...even water produces hearburn.
When taking the clindamycin had horrid heartburn and nausea but not really any other problems (finished meds 6th Dec) Not loosing any weight (but it is Christmas season), feel nausea and very sore from trips to loo. No blood but occasional mucus. Stools very loose, thin, foul smelling and greasy. My GP took sample last week but with holidays it will be a waiting game. Any suggestions? I daren't leave the hose incase i have an urgency.
Again, I followed the instructions to the letter, the pain went away in 2 days, and I am now finished the clindamycin. It has been 4 days since I finished the clindamycin and I still feel good so I assume that my sore throat will stay away. So here is my question: What caused my infection if the strep tests came back negative both times? Why did the pain clear up so quickly after beginning the penicillin but then returned just as quickly after finishing it both times?
I have now bad migraines for over a month now. I have been in and out of docs and ERs and no one is helping. I read it could be my liver from the rash. I even thought it was my teeth. The dentist gave me antibiotics but it's very hard to take them when I never know about the diareha. After my surgery i broke out in red blood spots all over my body and they continue to come out my doc said it was nothing but i am so weak I can't do much and it's very hard to sleep. Could this be my liver?
Levaquin, there are some intracellulars that also work against Bart, such as the Biaxin/Plaquenil combo and Clindamycin. The headache on Clindamycin could have been a Lyme herx, but it could also have been a Bart herx. I mention this to say you don't have to suffer with chronic stomach pain on Rifampin indefinitely. There are other options if it doesn't go away. I am very glad to hear it's working! At least you can give your doc credit for being willing to learn.
I had gone to our family doctor over a period of about a year, in 2006, during which time I was given Keflex, Doxycycline, Cipro, Augmentin and a Clindamycin topical gel, (which actually seemed to accelerate and spread the infection on my face in the shaving area), and nothing seemed to do any good. The pimples do seem to get better if you break them open and remove the hair follicle, but I have had some linger for weeks if you don't get every single hair out of the pimple.
the Left was half filled and could possible clear with ..yea you got it..more Antibiotics and Prednisone. So drug of choise here was Clindamycin (beware) and the said Prednisone.Managed the pred for 3 days. and my blood sugar hit the roof, cramping legs, numbness in legs...total weak feeling. I had to stop cold turkey...your not supposed to. The Clindamycin i managed for 5 days..Diarreaha day 1 and day 3 (really bad). then nothing..
I didn't think I had to worry about it either, until I was switched to Clindamycin. Now I have to be really careful. It's more than diarrhea and yeast, though. Upsetting the gut balance also messes with the immune system. Researchers are learning that many important components of the body are manufactured in the gut. A unhealthy gut leads to an unhealthy body. My doc only gives Diflucan for 10 days because it's so hard on the liver. After that, I pulsed it once every 3 days.
Tried Protonix for 8 weeks and it only helped the effects on my stomach from the clindamycin. It didn't help the feeling in my throat. Went back to the medical doctor and he said I had Haemophillus Influenza which was thought to be viral but was actually bacterial. He put me on Bactrim. There probably was some kind of infection still lingering in there, but it still felt like something was there, and I know I'm not crazy!! I also had a scope down my throat and they saw nothing abnormal.
I battled BV for a year. It was awful. I think I was on antibiotics 3 or 4 times, metronidazole and clindamycin, oral and vaginal. Results were temporary, it always came back. Wish I could have a refund. And it ruined a vacation with my husband, I couldn't take alcohol with the antibiotics. Tried douching with water and vinger combined, temporary relief. Tried inserting a plain yogurt douche. Tried buying dairy tablets from overseas to insert vaginally which claimed those women became cured.
I walk 30-40 minutes a day and try to eat a diet that supports my liver taking a few supplements, (Selenium, Alpha Lipoic Acid, SAM E, and Vitamin E occasionally C. and milk thistle)Primary symptoms of concern are low energy to fatigue and a lack of mental acuity. This varies to feeling scatter brained and memory loss to inability to sustain concentration. No matter what I do 6.5 hours is the most sleep I can get, often 5 is the routine. I frequently have an ache in my right side.
The pain is often worse when the stomach is empty and goes away after eating. You may also have indigestion, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, gas, and dark stools. Possible Causes: *Stomach ulcer (peptic ulcer) *Gastritis (inflammation of the stomach lining) Action to Take: Take an antacid or acetaminophen if necessary, but avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, and other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Don't drink alcohol or smoke. If pain persists or quickly comes back, see your doctor.
Now their back a lot more but I also have been having a lot more heartburn, and I guess Gerd. I'm going to go back and see my GI on whether the Crohns is back or it's just the Acid Reflux or what's going on. But yeah, the PVC's always seem to be more when I'm having digestive upset. There's definitely a connection. I think more and more doctors are starting to realize that.
I will say that yesterday for the first time in a long time I began using the topical cream DUAC prescribed by my Dermatologist for acne. It is 1% clindamycin and 5% benzoyl peroxide, and as I write this it is forefront on my mind that this stuff may be the cause (there has to be an obvious link between my sudden reoccurrance and my recent use of this cream--yesterday). Perhaps some of the ingredients in this stuff are in something you use?
I have been taking about 1000 IU a day, every day for the past month now. Both with my breakfast and with my supper... and ACNE IS GONE!!!! I am 25 years old and have had acne since I was 14... and for once no more acne! In particular, I haven't suffered much on my face, only while I was a teen, but always had acne on my back. Not only that but my blackheads on my nose aren't there anymore! I even had blackheads on my shoulders. Sometimes on my back... always had many pimples on my back.
Thanks to Duchess47, Wepst and JDanMan for your comments and suggestions. I will seriously look into all of your suggestions and hope that it's just some seasonal allergy thing. Thanks again.
