t seem to have problems with doxycycline, amoxicillin or clindamycin. Clindamycin destroys my stomach though. I avoid cipro and zithromax.
Alternatively, you can take clindamycin for the bv and drink a boat load of cranberry juice for the UTI and water of course. It will take longer to clear up the UTI but it should work. It did for me in a pinch. It just took a couple of extra days. Of course if you are diabetic you can't.
has given me 10 days of clindamycin to be taken 3 times a day at a dose of 450 mgs. this is fine, i can take clindamycin with no ill effects.
HOWEVER, i have read that this drug is not commonly used to treat std's as there are so many better options. Is clindamycin going to work??? Thanks.
Hi I Was Recently Sick and Had To Begin taking an antibiotic called Clindamycin. Will I Be Okay To Drink Alcohol While On This Medication. I Have Read That This Antibiotic Doesn't Have Any Negative Affects While Drinking Alcohol. But Just Wanted To Double Check.

I am 53 and have had on/off GERD symptoms- sometimes severe- for about 17 years. About 2 years ago I had an endoscopy done and was diagnosed with chronic mild esophagitis and they gave me 40 mg of omeprazole for 8 weeks. After that, I started on 20 mg every day and have been on that dose regularly and still had a day or two every couple of weeks with a GERD flair up.
About 3 weeks ago I developed some lower GI issues with constipation, nausea, cramps, and was pretty sick for 2 weeks.
I have had severe GERD off and on since 2006 and YES the pain can and does radiate to the upper/midback in many people.Just Google GERD and back pain and see how many others have this same pain.I believe Mayo Clinic's website mentions back pain referral in their description of esophagitis.My heart has been extensivley tested for heart disease and it has been ruled out.

Shortly after the birth of my second child I started to experience burn/dull ache in my chest, along with major weight loss- i had a c-section and was on pain killers, not sure this was the culprit. I had a scope and was diagnosed with esophagitis. Thing is before the diagnosis I never had any heartburn or signs of discomfort- it literally came of of nowhere.

I developed a breathing issue in May 13', by July 13' I had an endoscopy performed and they found signs of Eosinophilic Esophagitis, , , finally by Nov 13' I realized that I had not been tested for Herpes back in May when all of it started, and found out I was Herpes + (both 1 and 2). To this day I have NEVER had an outbreak.
This is not a question so much as info to be added to the ongoing discussion. I too have experienced hives followed by painful daily/nightly bouts of acid reflux and belching. I also had a cat scan and that was normal.

Now I am confused, how come the LPR is only starting now and not 2 months ago together with my reflux esophagitis? And how come it only begin after I started treatment for my reflux esophagitis? And why is it that even though my reflux esophagitis symptoms are cleared, only then do the LPR symptoms appear?
I read in some websites that when you cut down on PPI's, there is a rebound which causes more acid to be produced compared to pre-PPI. Is this what is happening?

I've had on-and-off mild nausea, including two episodes of vomitting. To check for possible gallbladder problems I had an abdominal ultrasound. The report showed a normal gallbladder but "inhomogeneous pancreas". The doctor has ordered amylase, lipase, and liver function blood work. I have been on proton pump inhibitors for years for GERD and eosiniphilic esophagitis. It's weeks before I can see the gastroenterologist.

I cannot think of any condition associoated with both urticaria and difficulty swallowing except eosinophilic esophagitis. Symptoms of EE can range from severe heartburn, difficulty swallowing, food impaction in the esophagus, nausea, vomiting and weight loss to urticarial rash.Mostly, patients with eosinophilic esophagitis suffer from food allergies also.
Diagnosis is obtained during an upper GI endoscopy where biopsies are taken of the esophagus.
Prescribed ofloxacin, desonide and clindamycin with no results. Currently halfway through doxycline two week course and showing no real changes.
The redness on top of penis tip changes from bright red when erect to mildy red when relaxed. There is a bright red spot that is about 1mm in size that the redness on tip seems to emanate from. Doctors don't think much of the redness although it is not "normal" because it was not there before. Could this be HPV?
You may be experiencing gastritis, esophagitis, gallbladder issues, and even pancreatic issues, among others, given the description and timing. (I'd be inclined to think either gastritis/esophagitis (including heartburn) or gallbladder issues, though those tend to be a bit off center.
In any case, I highly recommend you go to a gastroenterologist and check yourself out.
Thank you. Which alkaline powder should I buy? I do have a juicer. I'll definitely juice the celery. I'm frazzled right now and it seems the esophagitis is only getting worse because I can't totally get rid of the reflux, even with Aciphex. Any help is so appreciated.
