I know this is weird, but the taste of my discharge becomes bitter. After treatment of oral Clindamycinand diflucan all my symptoms are relieved, sometimes for along time. I had read an article many yrs ago about chronic BV . I was first diagnosed with BV when I was 20, but I had no symptoms. Most of the time, doctors say they don't see any infection, but treat me any ways for BV because it does relieve my symptoms. I have been on on metrogel, 2 times a week, vaginally.
For the last 6 months I have been getting tearing (look like paper cuts) in my vaginal area (1/4 to 1/2 inch long). I get the tears at least once or twice a week and they last from 2-4 days, go away for a few days and then come back. They continue to occur in the same locations;
1. Inside the vaginal lips on the sides almost always in the crease (between the labia minora and majora?)
2. Between the anus and vaginal opening (perineum)
3. Above the clitoris in the "hood" area.
The itching , then the scratching causes infection.
Use a face cloth applied w/ alcoholand gently rub and soak the infected area
it helps and heals as well.
I have tried everything and the only thing that keeps it at bay is the rubbing
alcohol. At the first sign of a break out apply the alcohol 3 or more time a
day. I know they say alcohol is harsh to the skin but so is the rash.
Also I have used Antiseptic Skin Cleanser, this helps to dry up the infected areas.
I used to take Isotretinoin 20mg and Azithromycin(500mg) and a Benzoyl Peroxide based soap andClindamycin ointment. Recently in my anxiety to get rid of my acne scars, I used Mederma, that cleared my skin but again, I started getting severe acne. So, I took Isotretinoin 20mg and Azithromycin. But it didn't work. Also, I discontinued the Isotretinoin course and took this ointment, Persol Forte ( Benzoyl Peroxide with ppt Sulfur). It made my skin red and pimples worse.
This is going to be a long post, so get comfy!
I'm a recovering alcoholic, pain killer abuser, etc. I've been attending AA/NA meetings and have been clean for 61 days.
Here is my story (and how it all relates to an aspirin overdose)
The last time I drank I was out of Vicodin (I used to drink and take pain meds, not bright I know... ) and was in a considerable amount of pain. I have been prescribed Vicodin for dental problems after a car accident.
Also I have tried, salycylic shampoos, tar shampoos, jojoba oil, AND nothing seems to help.
Please help me and my hair. I am a busy college student, who unfortunately does not have the time and money to deal with this.
The Elidel acts like a steroid but it isn't nor will it thin the skin or cause steroid rosacea. The Clindamycinand Sulfacet have anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties, as does the Elidel. If your seb derm is very raw, you may have to knock it down a little with a steroid as much as I hate them. If you have to go this route, don't use the steroid more than a week and then taper off maybe with hydrocortisone for another week while adding the above.
Tried Protonix for 8 weeks and it only helped the effects on my stomach from the Clindamycin. It didn't help the feeling in my throat. Went back to the medical doctor and he said I had Haemophillus Influenza which was thought to be viral but was actually bacterial. He put me on Bactrim. There probably was some kind of infection still lingering in there, but it still felt like something was there, and I know I'm not crazy!! I also had a scope down my throat and they saw nothing abnormal.
After a few months, I went to a dermatologist, he prescribed me with antiboitic and shampoo and cream and lotion . i used them for 3 month and after i stoppped few one month after I had them back on my scalp and face.
Maybe having 8 beers in one night, once a month. Is it okay for a little alcoholand will there be any side effects for it. Also, this may seem like an extreme question, but has anyone ever become very ill from taking acutane? What is the worst case scenerio from taking acutane? Will drinking a lot of water help to avoid some of the acutane side-effects and can you still work out(lifting weights about 8 hours a week)?
I have had the same problem for over three years now. My family doctor told me to swab my ears with a mixture of alcoholand vinegar which gave me some relief for a short period of time. I have been seeing an ENT now, once or twice a week, maybe 8 visits total. We started with antibiotics and drops which worked while I was taking the drops. Then the Doc did a culture and prescibed a new antibiotic, a creame and new drops.
that's definitely out for me know, there's too much scientific evidence out there that correlates cow's milk to acne.
Milk is OUT.
I've always been a coffee drinker and I always have cream in my coffee. I quit drinking coffee for those 2 months where my acne was almost clear. I'm going to have to say coffee is OUT... there are so many toxins in coffee anyways.
I always have a disturbed sleeping pattern... I read reports a normal bedtime also very very important in making acne better.
I literally had to take a leave of absence from work and all I could do was spend most of my time in my bedroom watching TV reruns of old TV shows I found comforting and beading. Oh, anddrinking wine. I tried Xanax a couple of times but it made me feel...weird, so I really didn't get into it. But here's the thing; I happened to be reading the side effects of amoxicillin and believe it or not, anxiety is one of them!
After a change of diet because all this the problem got worst. The water
didn't dry me and I was drinking water and eating fruits for the single
purpose of creating saliva. I thought that maybe boiling the water
created a poisoning reaction, because I was using iron pots with white
keramics but scratched in several parts, and the water turned brownish
when boiled. Then I stoped drinking tea with boiled water, I puted to
the sun to soak.
I've also had Amoxicillin in the beginning when they suspected this was just siunitus and I was prescribed Clindamycin by my dentist before having a few teeth removed.
I'm having some kind of sexual issue strongly associated with this. I've had to stop doing anything sexual. I can't even think of anything sexual without a very severe reaction.
I haven't been in a sexual relationship for nearly a decade, but I did masturbate up until a year ago.
I did a liver cleanse and ordered a gold coin grass tincture to soften up any stones in there, and have been drinking gallons of organic apple juice. The pain comes and goes, but I've been on a diet for the past week to try to keep the pain away, I'm not eating red meats or fatty foods. Mostly all fruits and salads and fresh vegetable and fruit juices.
Yeah. Well that's what I hope-related to some kind of yeast thing, and not HPV-which would mean I have to wait until it runs it's course with me. My doctor actually told me to stick with the gold bond if it works, but that's treating the symptoms...sigh. I just had a run of anti biotics after a surgery, wouldn't that take care of any kind of BI/yeast/uti??
He gave the Clindamycin vaginal cream for the Strep B and I finished that a couple of weeks ago and it still has not gone away. Had a series of Blood tests done and a stool sample. Blood tests were all normal but the stool sample came back with C-diff in my intestenal track. The medications I took allowed for all the bad bacteria to grow. I was then put on Alinia medication for the C-diff which has helped a great deal and I thought the Strep B would be gone.
I've decided to radically alter my diet and cut out fat of any description and also to see if not drinkingalcohol helps - this has gone on for too long. I'm 58 and have had all of the usual tests for heart and stomach problems, I'm on Ranitadine for a hiatus hernia and Ramapril for high blood pressure. Thanks to all the people who have posted comments, as I said it, helps a lot. God bless you all.
I will say that yesterday for the first time in a long time I began using the topical cream DUAC prescribed by my Dermatologist for acne. It is 1% Clindamycinand 5% benzoyl peroxide, and as I write this it is forefront on my mind that this stuff may be the cause (there has to be an obvious link between my sudden reoccurrance and my recent use of this cream--yesterday). Perhaps some of the ingredients in this stuff are in something you use?
The other thing I've done that seems to help is that I've stopped drinking soda and eating or drinking anything with lots of sugar in it. I've also stopped eating out . I don't take birth control. I did for about 6 months when this problem first started...it was supposed to control my hormone levels and stop the itching....it didn't work.
I seem to have outbreaks when my stress level is high.
Do you all have high stress jobs?
I insert a sterilized needle into the center of the cyst and squeze the puss (having alcohol wipes available) wiping it with the alcohol wipes. I use sterile tweezers to squeze the cyst, and I have found that oftentimes, a hard white "head" will come to the surface, which I pull out through the hole whenever possible. This "head" is the duct andI don't have the problem again for quite some time.
I know the frustrations you all feel. I have green tea and will try drinking it, although the one thing I had really changed in my diet before this happened was I gave up coffee and had been drinking lots of cups of herbal tea a day, so it got me wondering if it could be the tea causing the problem.
Any insights anyone has on this delayed reaction from a drug or how long this could last could be so so helpful because I'm starting to panic a bit thinking about when I was 18.
A, E, C, D3, Beta Carotene, Isoprinosine
- no processed food
- no smoke or alcohol
I've made test for HIV too and is negative.
I also made test for streptococcus and staphylococcus and are negative.
Im positive for oral herpes, but herpes is not active, in fact it was active just 1 time in 1 year (active for 3 or 4 days, than dissappear).
