Common Questions and Answers about Clenbuterol and cytomel results

cytomel

Avatar m tn Can clenbuterol be taken at the same time as cytomel (t3), or does it have to rotated. Each drug rotated on a two week on, two week off cycle?
Avatar m tn And just to reiterate, both T3 and clenbuterol WILL NOT affect my immune system to where oral antibody tests cannot detect HIV antibodies given the appropriate window period allotted time, right?
Avatar m tn Would taking 60mcg T3 and clenbuterol daily for weight loss affect the HIV testing window? I recently did an oral oraquick test today which would put me at the 6wk and 8wk period after two sexual encounters. I started taking the T3 about 3 days ago and will likely take it for the next two months, not sure when I will start the clenbuterol though.
558402 tn?1227060516 I personally think 50mcg of Synthroid and 10 whatever of Cytomel is a very odd mix, and too heavy on the Cytomel. You know your past history of blood levels much better than I, and maybe you need a lot of T3. I'm just trying to visualize the whole med reduction process. Your TSH drops, so the doctor lowers your dose. Your TSH drops, so your dose is lowered again. Hopefully T4/T3 tests were run somewhere along the way. You get down to 75mcg, and the doctor decides to add Cytomel...why?
Avatar n tn Dx Central Hypothroidism and Hashimoto Taking synthroid 125 Endo added cytomel 10mcg due to low ft3 and persistent hypo symptoms.Feeling terrible and even worse with added titre (cytomel) 10mcg. Rang Endo and told me to stop with cytomel. Is that possible that such a low dose could make me feel awful...double vison, sense of nausea, some palpitations...to add to my already hypo symptoms...plus ft3 and ft4 have not risen even a tiny bit. I'm really confused at this point.
Avatar f tn ok just started taking cytomel w/ my sythroid and the doc gives me a script for vyanase which is basically speed. I am scared to take it b/c cytomel is also a stimulate. will this freak me out or what? i haven't taken the speed yet b/c i am so scared i will die of a heartattack!! anyone else on this? thanks for your help.
252327 tn?1250183976 My doc told me to take the100 mcg snythroid with 5 mcg cytomel in the morning and then after 2 weeks to take another cytomel around noon. He said if I get any palputations to back off the second one. He orginally prescribed 30 mcg of amour but the drug stores said that it wouldn't be avalible untill October. So then he gave me the cytomel, so far I feel much better especially with the brain fog and fatigue, I still work full time so I still need my energy.
Avatar n tn So I quit Armour about 9 months ago because I had a horrible reaction to the new formulation. I started back on synthroid and cytomel, but the cytomel made me feel anxious. I stopped the cytomel and had thought I was doing great. I feel better than I had in over a year, but I guess I was feeling so bad before that anything would have been better. I just got my blood test results which I found suprising. My TSH is .049, Free T4 1.52 (72% of range) and my Free T3 283 (only 28% of range.
Avatar n tn TSH 2.56 Free T4 1.29 Free T3 3.2 Still tired and not feeling very well so this is what the doctor is proposing. Continue on 75mc Synthroid and the 5mg (split between 2 doses) from Monday-Saturday. Then on Sunday take 1 1/2 of my 75 mc Synthroid with the cytomel. Any thoughts on that? Since I'm so sensitive to medications wouldn't it be better for me to take an 88 on Saturday and Sunday? I think it works out to the same dosage over the weekend??
Avatar n tn Hello. I am currently on 125 mg of Synthroid and 2.5 mcg of Cytomel. I began to feel a little hyper, which is how I have felt pretty much on any Cytomel. My results are below. Can I please get your opinion on the lab results? Also, can you please tell me approximately what the Free T4 should be? Thank you so much.
822804 tn?1298226302 I convinced my dr to add cytomel w/Synthroid 88mcg. He ordered 25mcg of Cytomel and I knew it was too much at once so I cut it in half and had only 12.5mcg in am & 12.5mcg at 2pm. I had been on the 88mcg for a long time and I just wanted to see if I increased by 44mcg (cutting an 88mcg in half) and adding it to the 88mcg (total of 132mcg) and I can't even believe how much better I feel. It took a long time for me to add the second dose of cytomel though.
1956603 tn?1325036186 My doctor added the Cytomel around Dec 28th, I believe. I took the Tirosint first thing in the am with one 5mcg Cytomel and then took the other 5mcg Cytomel between 1-3 pm. I had been on Tirosint 150 mcg for several months prior to the Cytomel. I'm not sure what the change was between the past two results, but I am glad it happened. This is the best I have felt in years! My doctor would like to lower the Tirosint to 137 mcg but keep the Cytomel the same.
Avatar m tn In the last year I went to the endo, who given how I was feeling gave me 1.12 of synthroid and the smallest dose of cytomel, and I am on seasonique. I had only been through one pack of the seasonique at this time with no bleeding/spotting. Once I started the cytomel, the spotting started again. The endo told me I should try a half dose of the cytomel. That made no difference. Now she told me to quit the cytomel and see if that helps. Now I am getting a light period.....
317787 tn?1473358451 Before I had my blood work, my doctor told me to stop the Cytomel for a day or two as it could mess up the results. I am curious to find out how others are tested. Do you stop your Cytomel? While my TSH looks fine my t3 and t4 seem low to me Thank you, Dee My TSH .511 (.350-5.500) Free T3 2.31 (2.30 - 420 Free T4 .9 (.06 - 1.
Avatar n tn 04 (from 0.41)free t3 2.8 (from 3.1 when on armour 60 and 5mg cytomel) and my free t4 is 0.68(from 0.48 when on armour 60 and cytomel 5mg). My doctor wants me to continue with the 90mg of armour for 6 days and take one half of the 90mg on one day. I am afraid of lowering my dose as I am tired all the time with no energy. I am on a strict diet and exercise approximately 2 to 3 hours a day.
Avatar n tn These were my results before adding the cytomel. Today these are my results. T3 2.4, TSH 1.38 and Free T4 .99. I want to know if I’m moving in the right direction?
Avatar m tn Your T3 level is pretty low and your T4 is on the high normal which could mean conversion issue. How long have you been increased to .75?? Don't forget it takes at least 6 weeks for levo to accurately change levels. If it was me I would ask for Cytomel as well as the levo. It may help you feel better.
Avatar f tn Im not sure how much to decrease the synthroid if i add the cytomel. I was going to quarter them and take one in am and one around lunch for a total of 12.5 of cytomel. I need to find new Endo because this is not working. I have a Naturopath who would work with me on this. I just need to know how much to reduce the synthroid to correspond with the addition of cytomel. ?? I realize everyone is different but I need to start somewhere.
Avatar f tn I had a thyrodectemy in April 2016. I was still having symptoms but not gaining weight. My Dr. decided to add cytomel, which I am excited about. So my Dr. lowered my synthroid to 125 mg 6x's a week and 5 mg of cytomel 4x's a week. I am also taking calcium twice a day at 600mg and 40,000 IU once a week with calcitrol twice a day as well. At first I was getting anxiety as a result of taking cytomel, but everytime I took my calcitrol I became so tired. My Dr.
Avatar f tn No I am on a half tab of the 25 so 12... I break the 25 mcg tab in half. My Dr. let me go on Cytomel by request because I am overweight and I thought it would help me. My labs are only what I posted.... the t4 and tsh. I don't have any information on t3. I go back in 1 month. The only thyroid RX I have tried was Synthroid. I was on .88 and then .50 and then I quit it because I was getting headaches and wasn't feeling any results.....
Avatar f tn Goolara is right. Both Frees are pretty low. You are on the low side for both. Optimally, the FT4 should be mid range- some higher and the FT3 should be near the highest point to relieve you of all symptoms. The problem is when the FT3 is raised the TSH drops and most doctors will not allow an abnormal low TSH , even though taking a direct T3 will drop that number. With the shortage of desiccated - it may be even tougher to suggest this to a doctor.
Avatar f tn I need help deciding what direction to go with thyroid meds. I was previously on tirosint 100mcg and cytomel 5 mcg until march of this year due to insurance no longer covering. I wasn't 100%, but life was tolerable. I switched to levoxyl at same dosage. In july I started to experience hair loss, dizziness, muscle twitches, and sleep became disrupted. I have dealt with burning muscle pain and stiffness in my upper back for years. I had doc appt last week.
Avatar n tn According to my Allergist and lab results (a high Antithyroglobulin Ab and my nutritionist, but negative Thyroid Peroxidase Ab; TSH 0.9), I could be producing antibodies to the natural thyroid so he suggested a switch to Synthroid and Cytomel. At the time I was also showing some signs of too much thyroid medication. My primary care Dr. then put me on 150 mcg of Synthroid and 15 mcg of cytomel per day. I ended up with WAY too much thyroid hormone in my system after 2 to 3 weeks (TSH 0.04).
