I was prescribed these heavy duty medicines that had to be injected into me but I found that what has helped me the most is getting on a mostly vegan diet (I do eat eggs). If you're not having a flare up, fiber is very important. It's important you keep your body clean and bacteria free.

Bad breath is usually an indication of illness or poor diet coming from poluted intestines that have undigested meals in them producing the odor. Check with your doctor 1st and do some research on vegetarian/vegan health benefits.

Ive noticed when eating an almost vegan diet the itching drastically went down by almost vegan I mean no meat no eggs and just dairy that is in certain foods. I haven't been able to keep up with eating vegan and slowly the itching has gotten much worse.
Avatar n tn Hey there. I have a very overweight friend. Guess what happened when she got pregnant? She lost a bit of weight. :>)) That's really common. Because you burn more calories when pregnant. You don't need to eat any more in terms of quantity or calories --- but have a pregnancy going which burns more. Make sure you get lots of protein when vegan/vegetarian and you should be good. Keep exercising and yes, don't diet. Just don't increase how much you eat.

My daughter is vegan and I regularly eat vegan meals, especially when trying to loose weight. That's because I can have a large meal that is filling by making something like a vegetable stew, lentil bolognaise or vege chilli. Try initially making a commitment to being a meat and dairy reducer, that's what I consider myself to be. Have 3-5 days meat free or make breakfasts and lunches vegan.

Nor does it necessarily have anything to do with weight loss. A vegan eats as much as they want, so you apparently are still anorexic to an extent if you eat very little.

Avatar m tn (also to katcrazy) Thyroid function is fine. I used to have gastroparesis, so that was checked often, as it was a possible cause (turned out is was post viral, hence the curing after some time). I think it was just me not eating enough.
Avatar f tn Also before every meal DRINK WATER and a large glass then wait a few minutes. Try to see if you are truly hungry or just board eating. Also try 6 small meals instead of 3 big ones like a 5 course meal spaced out taste better then a 3 close together this is because your body has time to digest the food that you put into it. Also eat more filling foods so u wont feel hungry later on thus eating more.
Avatar n tn Another thing that makes me think it could be hormone related is that about a year and a half ago I went vegan. While I was vegan I had no constipation or PVC's. I suffer from severe constipation. Our diary and meat are full of hormones. The only reason I started eating dairy again is because I was losing a lot of hair. I wasn't supplementing correctly. I am going try going vegan again. I will keep you updated on how it turns out.

Any weightbearing exercise, be it walking, running, elliptical, vigorous dancing, running up and down stairs, whatever, can burn calories and tone. Other good exercises include Pilates, yoga, lifting weights, karate, biking ... many choices. Just MOVE. Sweating itself is not the object, although exercise may lead to sweating.
