Avatar f tn I had a baby last July and started Eating Clean, again, in September. I have lost 25 pounds so far. Eating Clean is not a fad diet but a change in lifestyle. Quit buying all those prepackaged foods full of preservatives and stuff you can't pronounce. I think the rule of thumb is if it has more than 5 ingredients, don't buy it! Find healthy alternatives for snacking...my favorite is raw almonds and air popped popcorn with cinnamon sprinkled on it! You can do it!
Avatar m tn check out the eat clean diet. It is not a fad and it is very easy to follow. Tosca Reno had lots of self help books and Oxygen Magazine can help with exercises etc. or, better yet....just take a 1/2 hour walk everyday. eventually you will build up to an hour a day. good heart-healthy exercise and uses lots of your muscles. The Eat Clean Diet books are about $24.
Avatar f tn I agree with flieman, that amount of weight in such a short goal is not realistic and potentially dangerous. I recommend the book Clean Eating by Tosca Reno. Get most of your food from veggies and lean protein, complex carbs and lean protein at every meal. You will loose wait, you will be full from all the fiber and you will KEEP THE WEIGHT OFF. If you manage to eat 400 calories every day for three months you'll gain it right back with extra.
2020005 tn?1628125976 When I decided to completely change my way of eating in hopes to lose weight, a friend recommended a book called Eat Clean Diet by Tosca Reno. I read it nonstop and finished it in a day. I learned so much and it made me want to change. I completely understand the nighttime eating! I still do it, sometimes :) The solution is to come up with good alternatives to junk. For example, cook popcorn on the stove in coconut oil and sprinkle cinnamon on it.
Avatar f tn EAT CLEAN!!!! Ms. Tosca Reno is a genius with her eating clean books. I suggest you look into it. Probably the hardest thing to do out of all of these. Changing your eating habits and actually sticking to a diet regimen is so hard when you have those days of cravings and emotional/stressful times. My 6th and final recommendation: DRUM ROLL PLEASE: EXERCISE!!!! Yes, the toxin-releasing, sweat making machine. Easy, but at a good pace… and increasing intensity each week – 2 weeks.

Avatar f tn My favorite things to snack on are pretzels with hummus, grapes, popcorn, pineapple chunks, deviled eggs, and then chicken noodle soup is always nice. (You can even get can pineapple and put it in the freezer for an hour or so.. frozen pineapple is delicious!) tuna with crackers, etc.. Do you cook? You should look on pinterest for healthy food/snack ideas. I dealt with bulimia 7years ago and always hated the shame that came with it.. I feel for you and pray you get control of it. For me..

Avatar f tn I have found that eating anything with grease suck as steak, porkchops, regular cheese (melted), fatty meats of any kind (ham mainly), regular milk, mayonaise, too much cream makes me feel bad. Imagine eating a stick of butter, the after effects. Try keeping your diet clean and away from anything you probably should not be eating anyway. Also chocolate seems to do it as well.
Avatar f tn Read all the labels for sugar and carb content. And of course no processed foods. It is designed to clean access sugar from your body so that it will come to a start point. While you are doing it , your body is borrowing it from your fat that which is the access sugar (energy stored as fat since it was more than it needed, and it wasn't used). And no food after 6pm. Make a rule of this one. When you are done with your 10 days no sugar, you can start eating complex carbs.

There is soo many different things you can do with them., My husbands favorite is wheat wrap, then spread cream cheese on it (you can do low fat), and sprinkle some garlic powder on the cream cheese, spinach leafs, then turkey, rolled up. Sooo good, sounds a little weird but it's really good!

Check them out. But be prepared for some strict, honest advice. Loads of recipes and eating guidelines.

Avatar f tn Hello! Now, I'm certainly not qualified, but I do have some personal advice that's worked for me in the past! I'm a notorious "bored eater", eating food when I'm not truly hungry. In an effort to solve this problem, I focus on always drinking a glass of water, and then asking myself if I'm still hungry... If the answer is yes, I then ask if I would eat an apple, or some nuts. If that answer is no, then I'm not actually hungry, I'm just craving.

I started a little over 2 weeks ago and it has been challenging but I am seeing a difference,I feel so much better. If you are on Pinterest there are hundreds of blogs and recipes, that is how we got started.
