(You can even get can pineapple and put it in the freezer for an hour or so.. frozen pineapple is delicious!) tuna with crackers, etc.. Do you cook? My sister was diagnosed when she was 5 and now that she's 13, things are getting more difficult. I decided that a magazine aimed specifically at teen girls with diabetes might be helpful. It is going to be almost like a fashion magazine covering issues like eating disorders to politics but in a way that is interesting and accessable.

Avatar f tn I have found that eating anything with grease suck as steak, porkchops, regular cheese (melted), fatty meats of any kind (ham mainly), regular milk, mayonaise, too much cream makes me feel bad. Imagine eating a stick of butter, the after effects. Try keeping your diet clean and away from anything you probably should not be eating anyway. Also chocolate seems to do it as well.
Avatar f tn Read all the labels for sugar and carb content. And of course no processed foods. It is designed to clean access sugar from your body so that it will come to a start point. While you are doing it , your body is borrowing it from your fat that which is the access sugar (energy stored as fat since it was more than it needed, and it wasn't used). And no food after 6pm. Make a rule of this one. When you are done with your 10 days no sugar, you can start eating complex carbs.

There is soo many different things you can do with them., My husbands favorite is wheat wrap, then spread cream cheese on it (you can do low fat), and sprinkle some garlic powder on the cream cheese, spinach leafs, then turkey, rolled up. Sooo good, sounds a little weird but it's really good!

Check them out. But be prepared for some strict, honest advice. Loads of recipes and eating guidelines.

Avatar f tn Hello! Now, I'm certainly not qualified, but I do have some personal advice that's worked for me in the past! I'm a notorious "bored eater", eating food when I'm not truly hungry. In an effort to solve this problem, I focus on always drinking a glass of water, and then asking myself if I'm still hungry... If the answer is yes, I then ask if I would eat an apple, or some nuts. If that answer is no, then I'm not actually hungry, I'm just craving.

I started a little over 2 weeks ago and it has been challenging but I am seeing a difference,I feel so much better. Avatar f tn I have always had an issue with disordered eating. It is not clinically diagnosed, but I am smart enough to recognize when something isn't healthy. My problem is that I will go from one extreme to another. I either don't care what I eat and just eat whatever or I get very obsessed with what I'm eating and the amount of calories in it. Counting calories can be triggering for me, so I have held off on that for a while.

Spend your time cooking healthy, delicious recipes and eating food you take an interest in, instead of following your bad habits and eating without thinking.

There are natural cleaning and disinfecting alternatives you can use in place of bleach that you can find recipes for on a site called care2.com. Just use the site's search engine for "natural cleaning recipes" or "green cleaning recipes".

Avatar m tn I read in Prevention magazine that coughing can be controlled by eating dark chocolate. I bought a bar of it and broke off a square and ate it every time I felt like coughing after eating. It cleared up after a week of doing this.

4261944 tn?1639605479 Switch o wholemeal small slice bread, sweetener, and I live for the recipes in the SW magazine and on the website! You won't believe what satisfying meals u can make. Also when I'm feeling lazy, I have a can of spaghetti hoops to hand as they're free! Team it up with toasted wholemeal bread (for your healthy B) and voila ;) it's been 9 weeks and I snack a lot less now, but make habit to have fruit every 2-3 hours between meals.

7058746 tn?1393435420 I'm in the same situation, I found out last week and don't meet the diabetes educator until Wednesday. Its all about the sugar and carbs and counting them. Carbs turn into sugar so you have to make sure your not eating too many. I've found some great recipes on the diabetes association website. The internet can be scary to read but also you can find some very helpful information, there are so many recipes to choose from. Hope that helps and good luck!
