Today I'm going to toss together some strawberry jam because they've been delightfully plump, sweet and cheap here. Tomorrow I'm planning to toss together a batch of habanero jam. Couldn't tolerate any sort of spice during tx and now I crave it! Mangoes are exploding off the trees now and will probably put up some preserves too. I make scones. We should start a co-op, LOL.
6450745 tn?1383007554 My dog, an 8 year old Chocolate Lab was recently diagnosed with liver disease. The exact type is not yet determined as we need a biopsy. So, for 2 weeks he is going to be taking 2 meds prescribed by the vet and on special diet. Then we will re-do the blood work and if worse or no change, go for biopsy. I'm devastated. We need for him to eat. All he eats is toast with butter or a bit of jam. He rarely eats his kibble. I have to forced him his meds, which he hates.

Afterward, my friend told me that I shouldn't eat the jam because he knows who found a stem in their jam and they ended up getting botulism from it. At first, I waved it off, because I've had this jam since September and I eat it fairly regularly and nothing has happened. Avatar f tn My favorite things to snack on are pretzels with hummus, grapes, popcorn, pineapple chunks, deviled eggs, and then chicken noodle soup is always nice. (You can even get can pineapple and put it in the freezer for an hour or so.. frozen pineapple is delicious!) tuna with crackers, etc.. Do you cook? You should look on pinterest for healthy food/snack ideas. I dealt with bulimia 7years ago and always hated the shame that came with it.. I feel for you and pray you get control of it. For me..

962522 tn?1247110693 well i fell off the wagon it was hard to resist since my family eats what they want since they dont have to worry about weight and i fell off the wagon and had fast food i so ashamed but i exercised twice that day to burn what i ate but its so hard to lose weight with all the tempting food around and harder when the only thing i know how to make is steamed chicken breast with broccoli i get tired of eating the same thing day to day which makes the temptations more irresistible but i do turbo jam

Avatar n tn But once I got him into eating clean and he stuck with it for a week, he started feeling alot better and then when he slipped and had a bag of chips or something he realized that he felt awful afterwards. It becomes a way of life if you let it.
Avatar f tn I have found that eating anything with grease suck as steak, porkchops, regular cheese (melted), fatty meats of any kind (ham mainly), regular milk, mayonaise, too much cream makes me feel bad. Imagine eating a stick of butter, the after effects. Try keeping your diet clean and away from anything you probably should not be eating anyway. Also chocolate seems to do it as well.
Avatar f tn Read all the labels for sugar and carb content. And of course no processed foods. It is designed to clean access sugar from your body so that it will come to a start point. While you are doing it , your body is borrowing it from your fat that which is the access sugar (energy stored as fat since it was more than it needed, and it wasn't used). And no food after 6pm. Make a rule of this one. When you are done with your 10 days no sugar, you can start eating complex carbs.
Avatar m tn Just thought id let you all know i made it to 2 weeks clean from the oxy devil, been going to n/a meetings once a week,( i work 60 hrs a week) so dont have time for much else.. go to church, makes me feel better.. still pretty drained at the end of the day but, i can sleeep again!! i love it.. anyway thanks to all who helped me out! was a hard go but, things are for sure looking muuuch better..

There is soo many different things you can do with them., My husbands favorite is wheat wrap, then spread cream cheese on it (you can do low fat), and sprinkle some garlic powder on the cream cheese, spinach leafs, then turkey, rolled up. Sooo good, sounds a little weird but it's really good!

After few years, now I can’t eat any sweet, if I eat, I’ll get pain in my throat. Pain is near thyroid region, pain also radiates to the back of neck. 1) Is my thyroid gland damaged?. 2) Does the food we eat touches the thyroid gland while swallowing? I mean, if the food is too sweet or too hot, while swallowing will it touch the thyroid gland & damage/effect it ?
Avatar f tn Hello! Now, I'm certainly not qualified, but I do have some personal advice that's worked for me in the past! I'm a notorious "bored eater", eating food when I'm not truly hungry. In an effort to solve this problem, I focus on always drinking a glass of water, and then asking myself if I'm still hungry... If the answer is yes, I then ask if I would eat an apple, or some nuts. If that answer is no, then I'm not actually hungry, I'm just craving.

I started a little over 2 weeks ago and it has been challenging but I am seeing a difference,I feel so much better. 483733 tn?1326798446 ve used wine and it is tannic, adding a bit of sweetness can balance it - a touch of jam or fruit juice. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Mix some cornstarch and cool water in a cup until smooth. Add into your pan and stir until thickened. With cornstarch the thickening happens quite quickly so you can judge if you need more right away. Enjoy!

My problem is that I will go from one extreme to another. I either don't care what I eat and just eat whatever or I get very obsessed with what I'm eating and the amount of calories in it. Counting calories can be triggering for me, so I have held off on that for a while.

There are natural cleaning and disinfecting alternatives you can use in place of bleach that you can find recipes for on a site called care2.com. Just use the site's search engine for "natural cleaning recipes" or "green cleaning recipes".
