Clarithromycin rash

Common Questions and Answers about Clarithromycin rash

biaxin

She says she's seen some good results with Clarithromycin, so that's what I'm taking. So far, it's fine. No crazy reactions to it; no minor reactions, either. It's only been a few days, so I don't have anything new to report. I guess I'm curious to hear if anyone else has taken this antibiotic, and if it helped. I should add--and I know it's foolish to feel weird about saying this--that I'm doing so much better than I was before.
My son just started taking clarithromycin and he has had 2 doses. With each dose he has received he has had some symptoms that are just different. He has started drooling really bad and he also has vomited some. He is not eating at all and is very picky about what he is drinking. And he is not like that... He has had a reaction (a really bad, itchy rash) to amoxicillien before so I just worry some when he starts something new. Has anyone has this happen?
Would I know?) - I have developed a rash. Red, patchy, very small spots around the neck, all closely bunched together and a bit "dry skin" looking in places. I dont mean peeling, but like, white, sort of wrinkly and very dry looking. Not itchy, though makes my skin in these areas feel hotter to the touch than the rest of my skin. 2 or 3 slightly larger spots just below my chest.
It is possible that you got scarlet fever but usually the antibiotics take care of the rash that you get with it. The rash usually starts on the chest, neck and armpits then spreads to other parts of the body. It is due to a toxin the strep produces. But it usually starts sooner than yours did. So, if it isn't scarlet fever, then it could be an allergy to the antibiotic perhaps that took some time for your immune system to trigger it.
On November 17, 2011 doctor gave me (Clarithromycin) because I was bit by my cat, the itch started two days after I finished the antibiotics. On November 23, I had a serious back pain and I went back to the clinic and the doctor prescribed me (Neurogen E Vitamic) for a week and on December 5, I started to have night sweats and rashes, I rushed myself to the Hospital (I had a history of TB and finished my TB meds in 2008).
Hello, Biaxin(Clarithromycin) is in a group of drugs called macrolide antibiotics. Biaxin is usually given for 7 to 14 days but can be given for longer depending on the medical condition for which it is prescribed.
Thanks for this forum I visited a massage parlor in San Fransisco 9 months ago. I had blowjob(with condom) and vaginal sex(with condom) about 5 mins. Condom not broken , not slipped and not tear. Washed carefully after that. When i asked her "she said about her health is clean". I got cold+ runny nose after 2 months and it got subsided by taking cold medications. After 8 months, i got fever and I visited doctor. Doctor didn't observed any infection in my ear and throat.
Hello dear experts, help me please. I have H pylori. Doctor prescribed: clarithromycin 500 mg (1 tablet twice a day), omeprazole 20 mg (1 tablet twice a day) and amoxicillin 500 mg (2 tablets twice a day). After just talking first and second doses I have bitter taste in my mouth. In addition, I feel weak and little scared. I am thinking, may be it is side effect or the medicine just has a bitter taste.
After 4 days of night sweats I went to a different clinic and the doctor gave me a cream and an antibiotic (Clarithromycin). The day after I finished my antibiotic I developed a back pain so I went back to the same clinic and the doctor prescribed me (Neurogen E Vitamin) I took it for 7 days and everything went well.
so my question is 1) would 5 days of Doxycycline be enough to kill of the bacteria? 2)I had 14 days of Clarithromycin for broncitis 8 months after exposure so would have this helped? 3) I never came out with any rash is that common? 4) at the time I avoided sex with my partner until i had the test results but since had sex with her. She has never shown any signs of symptoms. So is it possible to be infected with Syphilis and never show any signs?
My wife, aged 51, had fever for about 15 days and was treated with clarithromycin from 28 to 30 June 2008 and then with ofloxacin 400 mg for 3 days (till 2 July 2008). Simultaneously she was treated with chloroquin (1g on 30 June, 500 mg on 1 July and 500mg on 2 July) She was also given 500 mg paracetamol 100 mg nimusulide on 2 for fever). Then on 2 July night she had convulsions and was put under intensive care. She regained consciousness after about 4 hours, but was in a confused state.
Hi I was having a good sex life and I am not sure of the time frame but I got sick from my g/f. I had some hair loss, rash on my lip that didn't go away and some other problems. I had blood work done on me and her and there was nothing abnormal other than her allergin count being something like 1400 HI. I was perscribed Avelox for 10 days (2 pills a day) which ended around the 22nd of december and I think thats when I first noticed the premature ejaculation part..

When i visited my doctor and said i was worried that the spots may be herpes he diagnosed it as Folliculitis and gave me clarithromycin and I left. Later that day my doctor rang me back and told me that it could be herpes and i should go to a sexual health clinic which i did straight away and had a second doctor look at it who said it looked like herpes but she was not sure and took a swab to be sent off.
I had night sweats for 4 days so i went to a different clinic to get an opinion and the doctor told me it was an infection from the cat so he prescribed me an antibiotic (Clarithromycin) After i finished the antibiotic i developed a back pain (somewhere around my kidney area) and the doc prescribed me (Neurogen -E). I was ok after a few week until Monday I had night sweats and rashes. I immediately went to the hospital to get chest X-ray (and no TB was showing) right now I'm on Doxymycin.
Some of them have actually erupted into a raised bumpy rash from the circular ring. I've tried all types of coricosteroid creams from the dermatologist. He actually called me a mystery girl - what everyone wants to hear. Though he said he thinks I have numular eczema, he doesn't understand why we can't make it go away and stay away. I've just had a biopsy done on one of the outbreak patches to see if it helps determine what it is. I've been on antibiotics that don't seem to help too.
Then my thoughts got worse when I started feeling discomfort on the head of my penis, burning sensation on the tip and a bit of itchiness, and also burning sensation when i was urinating. I went to my doctor and he prescribed me Clarithromycin, i was honest to him and told him everything, so he prescribed it to me, the pills were strong but it was worth it.
Stomach upset, gas, heartburn, change of taste, diarrhea, constipation, skin rash, headache, dizziness or blurred vision may occur the first few days as your body adjusts to the medication. If these effects persist or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify MD promptly if you experience: muscle ache/pain, fever, unusual tiredness or weakness, vision changes, yellowing eyes or skin.
The tick was removed within 24 hrs at the time, I got no rash at the bite site or anywhere else. I had blood tests 6 months apart, both were negative, yet I know from all my reading and studying that that don't mean dog doodoo. As I sit here typing, I am getting strange sensations all over my body, in my head, the roof of my mouth, hands, feet, arms, legs, everywhere, and sometimes really bad stabbing pains in my feet and butt.
Then felt like a relapse, so was put on two antibiotics, Augmentin and Clarithromycin. After 5 days, developed an allergic reaction to one or both of these antibiotics with rash that spread to all my body, including face. First thing I noticed was rash on my stomach, and itchy hands. I would think you should be very careful if other than just feeling itchy, you also start to see any red dots at all.
I calmed down a little, but then my newly pregnant wife (5 weeks) got sick. A 3 day cold, two weeks of persistant dry cough, and a funny rash on her foot...looked like a raised red blotch with 5 holes, each discolored dark red. The area was sensitive to the touch and foamed when peroxide administered. The rash scabbed over in several days and took 8 days to go. I'm now a nervous wreck about me, my wife, and my baby.
M hominis is resistant to erythromycin, azithromycin, and clarithromycin. Levofloxacin, another common drug, also has been shown to have a high failure rate for M genitalium. This is why knowing which infection you have is very valuable in determining the correct treatment. Another common phenomenon is to have treatment initially be successful with antiboitics, only to relapse later.
My GP - whomI did NOT tell about the encounter, put me on Azithromycin for 3 days and it went away, taking into consideration that I usually get lots of throat infections (6-8 times a year, sometimes with sinusitis and/or bronchitis) 5- Couple of days ago my sore throat came back, I went today to my ENT specialist - whom I did NOT tell also - who put me on a nasal wash, an NSAID and Clarithromycin for 7 days. There is NO fever (checked few times during the past few days .....

I was on a two antibiotics (Moxifloxacin Hydrochloride and Clarithromycin) and a Chinese medicine (Yiqing Jaionang - containing rhubarb, baical skullcap root, and golden thread). I was also rubbing a boil cream in twice daily. About 5 am Jan 25, I saw another sex working for a handjob and also briefly received oral sex. By this time the boil was mostly gone, just a bit of redness.
I have a runny nose and my lymph nodes under my armpits and on my throat are slightly swollen.I have not observed any fever.I started to take antibiotics (Clarithromycin) as recommended by my doctor. Finally, I want to add that I got vaccinated 2 weeks before I had the contact with the girl for Influenza, Hep A, DPT and Typhim VI.

After i had stop taking the bactrim symptoms went away immediately and i felt okay until a week or 2 after. I had the worst experience of my life.
A bacteria known as Staph Aureus is commonly present in folliculitis caused by shaving. (beard area, under the arms or on the legs.) This rash appears as individual red papules which may have the appearance of acne. If the rash is in a small area, the use of an antibiotic ointment such as Mupirocin (prescription) may be helpful. If a larger area is involved, the doctor will commonly prescribe an oral antibiotic such as Cephalexin (Keflex) to help resolve this rash.
I'm reluctant to discontinue nueontin because I've had a difficult time in finding a medication that controls my seizures without my having either an alergic reaction ( rash over my whole body and fever) or some other kind of side effect..on tegretol my WBC count dropped significantly with the first month and continued to drop when tested 10 after that.
