Clarithromycin for bladder infection

Common Questions and Answers about Clarithromycin for bladder infection

biaxin

The other one which worked for me was clarithromycin. I hope all this helps. My son and I were both diagnosed by upper endoscopy but I don't know the details of what type it was. BTW the pain is really appalling and I do find putting a very hot water bottle against my abdomen or sinking into a very hot bath gives me a bit of relief. Unfortunately there don't seem to be any painkillers that work.
No single drug cures H. pylori infection. Treatment involves taking several medications for 7 to 14 days. Some of the treatment regimens use a medication called metronidazole (Flagyl) or clarithromycin (Biaxin). These medications can cause a metallic taste in the mouth. You will need to consult a gastroenterologist for adequate therapy. Regards.
The symptoms of the infection may continue for sometime after it has cleared due to associated inflammation. You could talk to your doctor if anti-inflammatory medication would be suitable in the situation for a symptomatic relief. Hope this helps. Take care!
When condoms are applied prior to sex and do not break, condom protected sex is safe sex and not associated with meaningful risk for infection. (Incidentally, if the condoms used appeared intact following sex, they were- when condoms fail they break wide open. condoms do not "leak" in small amounts.) Parts of your experience however did, apparently involve some trauma. As such this may be a partial explanation for your rectal symptoms.
It has come back. This time it recurred very briefly 3 weeks ago after some anti-biotics (clarithromycin) I had taken for 7 days. Then 1 week ago the problem came back a bit worse. No bacteria was found on a full urine test. It was perfect. Now I don't get the burn with peeing, though there is a slight burning/hot sensation in my bladder. But if I ejaculate there's a burn afterwards - which is immediately after, then 1 minute later before it calms down.
Antibiotics won't help you get over a cold.

The doxycycline you took would clear it up in many (perhaps most) cases but sometimes you get a resistant strain for which you would need either moxifloxacin (for mycoplasma) or clarithromycin (for ureaplasma).
coli or salmonella infection. Amoxicillin is also sometimes used together with another antibiotic called clarithromycin to treat stomach ulcers caused by Helicobacter pylori infection. This combination is sometimes used with a stomach acid reducer called lansoprazole. Amoxicillin is used to treat many different types of infections caused by bacteria, such as ear infections, bladder infections, pneumonia, gonorrhea, and E. coli or salmonella infection. Amoxicillin is also sometimes used together with another antibiotic called clarithromycin (Biaxin) to treat stomach ulcers caused by Helicobacter pylori infection. This combination is sometimes used with a stomach acid reducer called lansoprazole (Prevacid). Some women be having some dirty vagina. It's scary.
They thought it was a bladder infection and that she is sensitive for it. (We are still trying to get pregnant, but without success so far..) So, I understand that having Chlamydia puts you at higher risk for getting HIV. Does that mean that I should get treatment for Chlamydia asap, so I increase the effectiveness of the PEP? I did lick her with one stroke, but nothing more than that.
thanks for sharing anyway, he's going for CT scan tmr. i'll let you know about the report and the medications. everyone is my house are suspecting that its cancer ): but i choose not to believe it. he dont have any symptoms.
When you see your doctor, throat redness and irritation and swollen glands are noted, confirming even further that you’re in the middle of a standard upper respiratory infection, or the common cold. Typically, it’ll last anywhere from 3-5 days. A small minority will progress into one of the classic complications of a common cold, such as a bronchitis or sinusitis.
I was just diagnosed with vaginal strep (I think A) and it seems I have little yellowish /brownish scabs on my anus, is this normal? That is where most of the pain from this infection is coming from. It burns and sort of itches. The itching just started today and I've had this for 4 weeks. Most of the 4 weeks it wasn't diagnosed. I took Bactrim but that didn't work so I'm on cipro now. Is cipro a good antibiotic for this? Could this be impetigo? Any input is good, I'm desperate!
That could add to your coughing. For my allergies and for the cold I had, they prescribed Fluticasone Propionate nasal spray. It's the generic form of something, but it helps cut down on the nasal inflammation as well as the post nasal drip. When I had a cold this year, they had me use the nasal spray along with the cough medicine. It didn't give the cold the chance to develop into a nasty inflammation.
It causes me to have spasm coughing and if I cannot control this to 3 or 4 coughs my windpipe closes over making it hard to breath in or out. The last one about 2 years ago stopped me breathing in and out completely for 10 to 15 seconds and I thought I had bought it. The spasm cough causes it all and when it goes away (usually 4 to 5 days) things are relatively normal although a normal cough stays with me for weeks after.
Also there are many studies out there that show stress causes lower immune function and so it is common for infection to be present with stress.
I'm 22/f & for at least the past 10 yrs I've had a "sensitive stomach." Over the past 5 yrs or so I've been going through bouts of a week or two where I'm terribly nauseated no matter what I eat, and have intermittant diarrhea, but it always clears up. I've been to my GP about it & his opinions were: 1. "That's too bad, some people have sensitive stomachs" and 2. "Try a bland diet for a few days. It's just a virus.
MY DIAGNOSIS HAS GONE FROM YOU NEED TO HAVE YOUR APPENDIX REMOVED TO CANCER, TO CROHNS(WHEN MY MOTHER HAS ALONG WITH SPASTIC COLITIS) TO AIDS, TO IRRITABLE BOWEL SYNDROME( WHICH I BELIEVE TO BE NOTHING MORE THAN A CATAGORY DOCTORS PUT YOU IN WHEN THEY CANT FIND OUT WHATS WRONG WITH YOU) TO OF COURSE IT IS PSCHOSYMATIC ALL IN MY HEAD, TO NOW A DISEASED GALL BLADDER WHICH IN 4 DAYS THEY HAVE SCHEDULED FOR SURGERY TO HAVE IT REMOVED.
Is it possible for me to have an ulcer and it not show on the upper GI? The reason I think ulcer, is because I thought I noticed once after having alcohol that it hurt the next day. Does anyone know of possible conditions that this sounds like? I go for a Colonoscopy in 4 days, not looking forward to it.
I have been on Levaquin for 15 days for a sinus infection. I just hate it. Anxiety, lightheadness, thrush. I first was put on Avelox for 7 days prior for the infection and it also gave me the anxiety, plus hyperventiation. It was a mess. My doctor wanted me to tough it out with the Avelox by taking xanax to counteract the anxiety/hypervention. I stopped it at 7 days and got on Levaquin. No hyperventilation with that, but yes with the anxiety. etc.
My GP was stumped, as was my dentist - the 'colour' was swabbed and tested and nothing, I was treated for a fungal infection and nothing - I would make it bleed to scrape the colour off. At one point I cut out all coloured food from my diet for a couple of days (water and pasta! no vits..) and it still happened so isn't colouring or caffeine. I had tests for my cortisol levels, which were too high (they thought they might be too low??) but the specialist thought that was still unrelated.
I do know that you can have a sinus infection very deep in your sinus/nose and because there is very little blood circulating in the nose/sinus an antibiotic does not always knock the infection all the way out and the infection-even though you are better for now--comes back. My daughter had to have a cat scan for head aches and it ended up being a deep sinus infection so the doctor put her on a long time antibiotic to make sure the infection goes all the way away.
Maybe I have it all wrong or something, it could be something that just happens. I haven't been to the doctor for it yet. I just went for a bladder infection a couple weeks ago, but now that I think of it, this was going on durinig my bladder infection too. I just want to figure out how to get rid of it!
ago and when the chest pain starts I get a sharp stabbing pain in hte area where my gall bladder was. I have been on Prilosec 20mg once a day for at least a year, and sleep on a wedge. It has helped relieve the day-to-day symptoms, but I still get the awful chest pains about 2 times a year. I finally went to Mayo clinic and underwent an intensive ultrasound test and the scope. They could not find anything wrong - no ulcers, no hernia, no reflux, no bile duct deformity.
