citalopram with codeine

i am currently taking 20mg citalopram, i suffer with server back problems and im usually prescribed naproxen 250mg which help with the pain. Am i able to take my naproxen with my citalopram? as i am currently lots of pain and unsure what can take.

Hi. My wife just got back from Canada and bought some pills that are like Vivodene. They are Tyonol with codeine. Acetaminophen 300mg, caffine 15mg and codeine 8mg. Isn't that dose of codeine higher thatn what is a Vicodene ES of 7.5? Thank you..

I have a terrible cold and was wondering if tylenol with codeine would help? Doc gave me some for pain few months ago. Not sure if cold meds is safe during pregnancy...

so after 2 years of citalopram (40mg/day for one year and 20mg/day for another), and feeling ok with my life i disappeared to stop taking it, i asked my psychiatrist and she said ok. soo september 2012 i stopped.so till december 2012, i was felling ok and then it stared i was feeling i bit depressed in the beginning, did not want to do thing, i was feeling tired most of the time.and as the time gone by i stared feeling worse and worse.

That was fun to google -- lots of porn there. This appears to be a pharmaceutical product combining three medications for cold and cough. The antihistamine part apparently can be sedating, as so many medications are, but as it's a side effect and you can't take too much of it, I'd probably give this a pass. I'd try some melatonin 1mg and see if that helps.

Hi there...I take Wellbutrin XL (300 mg extended release bupropion) and no I didn't gain weight on it. I have been on differing doses for over 2 years. Also, no loss of sex drive if that is important to you which is a common side effect of most of the other medications used for anxiety.

t hit me until after a month of tapering, that bang, I wimped out and started taking just one a day.The Valium is a life save, I had tried to taper off the Valium before the Fioricet with codeine and couldn't do it at all. Now I realize why, the fioricet with codeine has a bigger hold on me. It would have to be the first drug to get off so the anxiety won't go through the roof. It all starts out so innocently but grow to be a big problem as time goes on.

I've been taking a bit of codeine to help with oxy w/d (I've never had problems getting off codeine -- doesn't do anything for me), found some clonidine, and feel like a zombie. I have some valium, which helps a bit with sleep. Anyhoo, it's been a crappy withdrawal, but not as bad as the last one in rehab. Stopping the codeine tomorrow, back to work Tues., but it's still hard to walk a few blocks without sitting down. Mood is ghastly.

Hello, I am a 54 year old male with severe anxiety and am taking 40 mg of citalopram and lotrel for bp issues. I recently read that citalopram can cause long qt syndrome and since my anxiety issues are driven by my health, I am concerned. My resting heart rate is in the low 50's, I have no family history of long qt, but with my low heart rate I wonder if I should cease to use citalopram. My doctor does not feel this is a problem but I thought I should seek other opinions Thanks .

Hi....I take this for general anxiety with excellent results. You don't have all the side effects with this type of medication compared to an antidepressant. I think you will find that you're going to feel much better! Take care.

Can I take L-Theanine with citalopram? I use to take L-Theanine and it use to help my anxiety a whole lot. My anxiety is really bad im on my second week of citalopram.

I have been to the doctors recently in trying to fix my mental health, After informing them that I was feeling depressed with anxiety, they gave me a prescription for citalopram. I could not get therapy for three or four months, so for some reason I didn't bother with it, hoping in time that the citalopram would get me back on my feet.

Explain to your GP that having these symptoms is seriously impacting on your ability to overcome the depression and ask if you can at least try another med. Tell him/her that you refuse to continue with the citalopram. You have to be your own advocate. If this GP is not willing to be flexible then see another one. All the best.
