Citalopram and motrin

Common Questions and Answers about Citalopram and motrin

celexa

I just started taking celexa and have had terrible sinus headaches and feel like my sinus is completly dried out along with chest congestion. Anyone else had these?
However, he said it could NOT be causing me so much pain. He checked out my arm and noticed a hard soft tissue knot, and suggested removing it through surgery and it "might" relieve my pain. So, 3 weeks ago I had the said surgery and it was removed (a hard soft tissue mass about the size of a marble). No, this was not the cyst inside my humerus bone. Anyways, I still have the pain, and it is extremely terrible at night (on a scale of 1 to 10, a 20 at night).
The xanax mentioned earlier is a great band aid for when panic sets in. My cocktail was a xanax and 2 motrin, that always levelled my playing field. I have always believed that my anxiety is from my symptoms not anxiety causing the symptoms. No matter what you believe the common thread is that the medical community has no answers only guesses.
He used the antidepressant Celexa (generic name is citalopram) and it just made a huge difference in his ability to cope with the side effects. We weaned him off too soon afterwards because the drugs took a long time to wear out of his system. My husband has never been a person to need antidepressants but the meds deplete your seratonin levels badly. The first treatment without an anti-d just about did in the whole family and was a trauma we would not want to repeat.
Hi everyone! Welcome to Part 14! Please come in and make yourself at home. We're all glad you made it here.
It would be interesting to find out how many people are on more than one medication for their mental health. I am currently on 3 medications, Depakote and Lithium for my BP and Zopiclone to aid sleep. I realise this is a very basic poll as it does not show how many different types of mental health problems are being experienced but depending on the response this could lead to a further poll about diagnosis etc.
Hi Tramadol Warriors! Welcome to Part 53. This thread is full of helpful and kind people who want to help you get off this terrible drug. Please snuggle in and make yourself comfy. I know you can do it!
I think I have a pretty good doctor and case manager. They have managed my weekly office visits and lab work well and have ordered extra labs as necessary. But the medical culture in MN seems to be very conservative in terms of treatment. (I have been noticing this since I moved here from SF.)It seems they are all afraid of prescribing an adequate dose no matter what it is for.
there is only one thing to do. Start sending a bunch of emails !!! lol...yeah...uhmm...no. Do not, for any reason, hit the send button while on the rage. Use the 'draft' button instead.
It has been 2 years since that operation, and I continue with the pain. And the nausea has been the worst. It has gotten so bad in the past year that I am stuck with eating only crackers, and soup. No doctor has found out what it is, and I am at wits end with this. Does anyone know what this could be?
I felt crazy Friday, went to the health food store and got some GABA after researching that amino acid affects the same receptors of the brain as Xanax. I took a Motrin PM Valerian and GABA to get to sleep Friday night and I slept pretty decent considering, then I found my Natural CALM which is a Magnesium Supplement and took it along with the other things and sleept realy good Saturday night. Last night I took an OTC sleep aide and my Valarian, CALM, GABA combo. I slept like a log!
I have been extremely effected by the side effects.Mostly memory and spelling.I have tingling in the fingers and toes.I also have little appetite and have lost 17lbs.Witch is great for me. I am over weight.I am tired more than normal, but i did sleep alot due to migrains.I do have more side effects and stuff, but I wont over load you all at once.I know this sounds like alot, but it has gotten better as time goes on. I have started to level off and become more normal.
I'm 42yrs old, mother of adult son, but have had undiagnosed symptoms off and on for years. From Joint pain and swelling to lymph node swelling and tenderness to now currently weakness (heavy feeling) and constant tiredness. I was diagnosed about a year and a half ago with a dead gallbladder which was removed...and it was dead. But now my PCP is testing for Autoimune and Viral/baterial infections: Mono, Lyme, Celiac and Lupus. I won't get the test results for another 24hrs or so.
They are not sharp pains but more of a constant 'throb' and can go on for hours. Pain relief medication does nothing and the only relief I can get at all is the application of something topical like '4-Head' or the American 'Head-On'. Although I have been a reasonably 'active' drinker in the past, if anything now, at the age of 61 (male), I rarely have more than two drinks at a time ... which is why I'm surprised at the onset of these headaches.
( I too have been diagnosed with BRP, and the only relief is from ice--but that feels so hopeless to me. Are there any other cures/solutions? I can not bear the thought of having to endure this torture the rest of my life. Makes me want to cry!
