ciprofloxacin yeast infection

I went to med express and they gave me a urinalysis test. The Dr. Said it seems to be a yeast infection with a possible UTI. They gave me Diflucan one day pill and Ciprofloxacin to take for 10 days. I have 5 days left on the meds. I feel that it's made it feel better but I still have a bit of itching, burning and irritation right around the vulva. I went today for a full STD panel and will get the results soon, but I am freaking out. Also my body is itchy, is this from the Ciprofloxacin ?

chances are the infection never really went away, if it was gonorreah or syphilis it probably relapsed...

The only thing I can think of is I took an antibiotic (ciprofloxacin) for a sinus infection weeks ago. Other than that, nothing. This is driving me crazy.

I had unprotected exposure in Dec 2013, but all tests are negative except bacterial infection on penis. And also I was on antibiotics from last 10 days amoxicillin+Ciprofloxacin from 22_31 March , Just after 2 day of finishing prescription I developed these rashes. 2 months later, the same exact symptoms are back and its currently been an ongoing 14 days. Just burns when I sit still. I spoke to the doctor and I told her I think I have a yeast infection because of my long workouts and she told me it very well may be and to try miconazole. Hmmm...thoughts? I'm concerned it is hsv2. I know 2 weeks is too early for hsv 2 testing but how accurate is it at 2 weeks?

Cipro is usually prescribed for something like a uti and the Diflucan can be given with it to keep a woman from getting a yeast infection. The combination of these 2 meds are very common and don't immediately convey an std. If she already has a yeast infection then ues wear a condom. I would ask her what the doctor prescribed her the meds for and go from there.

It could be a very bad yeast infection which over the counter creams won't help. You would need the doctor to write a prescription for a stronger cream and you should probally take the nystatin pill every day as well for about 10 days. A yeast infection causes itching and open areas and swelling if its bad enough.

Last Sunday (the 9th), I started to feel pressure in my bladder as if I had to urinate. When I went, not much came out, so I assumed I had a UTI and went to a doctor on Wednesday. I don't recall him saying I have one, but he said I might possibly have a yeast infection (which I can't imagine me having because I have none of the symptoms!). He put me on Ciprofloxacin (500mg) for a possible UTI to see if that gets rid of my problem.

Diflucan would be the best option for treatment if your condition is diagnosed as an yeast infection, but it would be best not to start the medication without being sure whether it is yeast. Do keep us posted on your progress.

Hi there, So I was diagnosed with an abscessed Bartholin cyst yesterday morning and have started Ciprofloxacin, but now i have random white blisters on my labia minora maybe around 8 of them in total. I was wondering if this could possibly just caused by the irritation of holding heat packs down there, and constantly readjusting the area because of the discomfort from the cyst. Thanks.

My penus feels irtiated on my head of my penis and inside or something that is why I was leading to it possibly being that yeast infection. If it was that how long would it take to clear up, this long ?? This has happened before, possibly 2 other times in the past 10 years. Past times resulted in mild eye infection that was treated by our doctor w/ drops. This time he got a severe infection that he treated for 2 weeks with little results. He was sent to a specialist. Treatment plan, antibiotic drops, steroid drops, as well as some type of drops to help his pupil to shrink. Although his redness has diminished, his pupil is HUGE and he has very poor vision from that eye.

just went to doctor again dr. said i it is a skin infection. i am on ciprofloxacin 500 mg. he said could be because of low immune. that is me. im done . it will take six month to test positive without a doubt. i have never been sick before. it hiv, period.

I always been in monogamous relationships however i did date another female last year before i met my current girlfriend and i do not know there status. Now My current girlfriend recently had an yeast infection and went to her gyno around March 1.They did a full STD panel on her and all came back negative. Mind you, we stop using protection almost 3 months prior to her getting tested. So my question is I did my test and all my results came in 4 days ago minus the HIV test.
