He told me I had an enlarged prostate then called me a couple of days later stating I had a prostate infection. He prescribed ciprofloxacin hcl 500mg for several weeks and referred me to a urologist. After a few days taking CIPRO the swelling in my testicles started to reduce. Sex became pleasurable again. The urologist treated the enlarged prostate but wasn't interested in treating the swollen testicles .
Two years later if I have frequent sex my testicles swell.

I'm sick and tired I have used ciprofloxacin HCL antibiotics aswell as enoxabid but nothing worked having severe pain nearly killing me. I have been masturbating since last months regularly and dry.
But now since 7 days I have stopped it antibiotics pain killers nothing works please it would be great if there is anything that you can help me with it.
Visited primary care physician today, she took urine test and said there was lot of blood in urine and thought might be a kidney stone and told me to do x-ray and after that she said there is no kidney stone she said me to drink plenty of water and prescribed me ciprofloxacin hcl 500mg and told me come back after 2 weeks
I just found out that I have a large parapelvic cyst 3.5 cm in my left kidney and I would like to know what kind of treatments there are for such. I'm now taking Ciprofloxacin HCL 500 mg 1 Tab twice a day.Can you tell me if I will need surgery or not. I do have an appt with a Urology in Sept and I also have a small kidney small thats1-2 mm nonobstructing rightr superior pole renal calculus.I'm hoping that this medication will help and I won't need to have surgery on my kidney.
Yesterday I took Tramadol Hcl 50 mg and Ciprofloxacin 500 mg.to treat a UTI. My first doses I took around 5:00pm. and around 10 I was driving and I started feeling very dizzy, shaking, fainting feeling and also I felt tingling on my legs and arms. After that I've been feeling sick and nauseated. Could it be cause of the medicine?
My family doctor put me on antibiotics for a brief period of time (5 days). However, my urologist has put me on "Ciprofloxacin HCL" 500 mg 2x a day for fifteen days. After day 12 of taking "Ciprofloxacin HCL", the pain/swelling has subsided and my urethra is starting to appear/ look normal again.
The antibiotics are working, so that indicates an infection. However, how come the urine samples given indicated no infection present when samples were obtained?

Is it safe to assume that regardless of whether it turns out to be Chlamydia or Gonorrhea, that this one prescription is a general treatment that will fully cure both? (I'd hate to take this for days and then find out I'm on the wrong pill.)
And if this is the appropriate treatment, will it really take the full 20 days? I was just hoping to get back to normal before that!

When that happened I ifgured it must be an STD and went and got tested and everything was negative Ive taken Azithromycin, metroNIDAZOLE, Doxycyline hyclate, ciprofloxacin hcl, and levofloxacin, these all supressed the systoms but it always comes back has been like this for about a year now.
Penicillin indeed is the treatment of choice, in fact the only recommended treatment. Cefalexin has never been studied against syphilis. It probably would have some activity, but cannot be considered reliable treatment -- and it could screw up further diagnostic testing, for example to judge whether it had actually worked.
If you would like to provide more information about your syphilis diagnosis (stage, blood test results, etc) I might have additional thoughts.
Then I panicked and ran to the nearest pharmacy and and took 1g of Zithromax, 400mg of Cefixime and 2x500g of Ciprofloxacin. I am planning to take additionally 500mg of Ciprofloxacin 2x daily.
My questions are now 1) Are these treatments effective so soon after potential exposure or do I have to wait and see if I get symptoms and then repeat the treatment? 2) Will these treatments generally cure Gonorrhea, Chlamydia and Syphills or do I need others?
The following drugs were prescribed the for me Ciprofloxacin. After using the drug for some days, the burning sensation stopped and the red swollen vanished. I continued to use the drugs until I comleted the dosage.
Despite that the burning sensation and the red swelling vanished, I still have the thick white discharge from the tip of my penis till date.
It is three months now and I still have this complaint. Please what is my fate? How do I get rid of this gonorrhea?

I don't know if I have Trich or not but I was wondering if taking Ciprofloxacin 500mg 2x daily would cure it?
First, a couple of days ago I was diagnosed with NGU after the doctor took a bacterial sample. As treatment he gave me 4 pills of something that started with an A and ciproflaxcian at 500mg twice a day for one week. After three days the symptoms have died down some but are not completely gone. I still see pus in my urine and have a slight burn. After reading up on Cipro, I have learned it's ineffective against NGU.

Apple cider vinegar is a way to cleanse the body and balance acid and alkaline, but it doesn't increase stomach acid on a permanent basis. Betaine HCL is used for gallstones, not for stomach acidity, since it doesn't do that either. The reason is that neither stays in the stomach, so it can't permanently alter the acid/alkaline balance. The caution about HCL is more about using pure HCL food grade.
The Symptoms for the over production of HCL, and the under production of HCL, are virtually identical. I just wanted to find out if ciprofloxacin can treat gonorhea. I had a discharge on my penis and was prescribed cipro for five days. After taking this for 2 days the discharge stopped and after finishing the course even the pain disappeared. I have a really wierd discharge from my penis after successful Chlamydia treatment. During the first round of Chlamydia treatment, azithromycin didn't work according to my retest, so I took Doxycycline and according to the results from the test last Saturday- I am now free and clear of both Chlamydia and Gonarrhea. However, I have this new type of discharge that happens in the morning. The discharge appears similar to semen but it can't be. Urination is painful.
You do not tell us where you are from however, here in the US, the treatment received was a little less than what is recommended by the CDC. As you point out, an increasing proportion of gonorrhea is now resistant to ciprofloxacin and related antibiotics. As a result, it is no longer recommended for therapy.
The CDC's treatment guidelines are meant to provide about a 97% cure rate for persons treated as recommended.
- Quinox 500 (ciprofloxacin tablets) 1x day for 5 days
-Tabocine 100 (doxycline hyclate tablets) 2x day for 14 days
After 4-5 days the discharge stopped, the burning sensation also stopped after 7 days. I still have 3 tablets to take (1 tonight and 2 tomorrow of doxycline) and the single ulcer is almost resorbed.
