Common Questions and Answers about Ciprofloxacin gastroenteritis

cipro

I went to the doctor thinking it is some kind of an STD but I was told that I have gastroenteritis. I want to mention that according to me, the prostitute had the same smell coming from her rectum. I mentioned this to the doc but he chose to ignore it. Anyway, I gave some tests on my own through an online STD testing facility and my Herpes, Chlamydia, HIV (PCR and ELisa), Gonorrhea, Syphilis all came back negative. This was the 4th day from the exposure.
Hello, It sounds like gastroenteritis. Gastroenteritis can be produced from viral, bacterial and parasitic infections, contaminated food or water or change in bacteria that normally live in the intestinal tract.Chest pain that you are having is due to radiation of pain. Take adequate fluids throughout the day. The BRAT diet (ie, bananas, rice, applesauce, toast) or soft easily digestible semisolid diet can also be taken. You also need a course of antibiotics like ciprofloxacin or metronidazole.
And one thing more i visited my Gastroenterologist three to four days ago. After examination she said i am suffering from gastroenteritis (mild infection in my intestines) and prescribed me ciprofloxacin for 5 days +Famotidine for 7 days + Folic Acid for 10 days.. These medicines could raise my LFTs high as well??? please Provide me with your feed back.. Take care Cheers...
So then I was on my way. Well, 3 weeks later after my trip, I was diagnosed with Gastroenteritis, Gastritis, and Esophagitis, most likely due to drinking of contaminated water and/or meat. So I was prescribed with Ranitidine and Ciprofloxacin. On the third week of taking the medication, I started to experience night sweating. I would wake up in the middle of the night with a sweaty forehead and around the entire neck.
