Normal I was going to give him Ciprofloxacin (500mg) tablet but it is contraindicated for children below 18 years and I wanted to give him Bactrim tab but the amount of bacteria is normal. What oral medicine (especially tablet) shall I administer to him? Remember to choose the drug from the essential drug list as I am living in a developing country; Ethiopia.
I m MSM in Europe (Ger) and visited a Brazilian escort service in February who gets around a lot in Europe. He confirms he is HIV neg, and usually careful and tested regulary. I bottomed, he used a condom, but also a lot of spit (directly inside) because we had not much lube. 3 days after, I got a very itchy spot in that area, I thought of bedbug bite but now from memory looks like herpes pix on the internet. It vanished quickly without problem. 4 weeks later, serious rectal trouble began.
This is because these two infections occur as intracellular parasites and need specific antigen and culture tests for their detection. The infective organisms may be located only within the bladder and/or kidney and come into the urethra during urination. If they are not flushed away by urine, they would continue to be present in the urethra and try to grow there causing irritation and pain.
Had diarrhea, vomiting, stomach cramps. Took ciprofloxacin, 2x 250mg per day for 5 days. Diarrhea subsided but nausea + stomach pain continued. On return have had 6 parasite tests - Aeromonas Hydrophilia found, but ciprofloxacin taken. No other parasites. Symptoms are worse over 2 years. Symptoms: - Constant nausea 20 mins after eating, worse in evening, and vomiting if no anti-emetics taken.
In general, the guidance for traveler's diarrhea is to take an antibiotic (Ciprofloxacin, Azithromycin) + an antispasmodic (Imodium) after the onset of symptoms (as long as there is not blood in the stool). If the symptoms cease after 24 hours of taking the antibiotic + antispasmodic, then you can stop both of the medications. If the symptoms are persistent, the usual recommendations are to take the medications for 3 days.

If so you may want to be tested for Hep B and if you had unprotected anal sex you may want to be checked for Hep C. These are STDs that effect the liver that may cause stomach issues and yellow stools. Also have your gallbladder checked. If all of this checks out you may have IBS IBS can cause yellow stools due to food moving through the intestines to fast, Back pain is not a common symptom of IBS but has been seen. Also the meds you have been on could cause the color change in your stool.
You have to check your medicine for fluoride!!!!! in my case i took ciprofloxacin for parasites and i was not aware of the fluoride as an ingredient. constipation gone worse. instead of curing constipation i lost weight and big belly as african malaria people. you need iodine and not! hormones! but better use borax and after iodine because iodine remove fluoride as calcium fluoride.
You can stay on the cipro as it may have weak activity but you will not be cured of this infection by the ciprofloxacin alone. Prostate infections need to be treated for a minimum of 15-20 days. This is because the prostate is an organ that the antibiotics cannot permeate easily. Follow the general advice in my previous posts to avoid irritation to the prostate. Do revert back with any further doubts you have.
Azithromycin 2g Flagyl 2g Doxycycline 100mg x 2 for 10/14/28 days Rocephin shot Ofloxacin 200mg x 2 for 10/14 days Erthythromycin 100mg x 4 for 10/14 days Ciprofloxacin 500mg x 2 for 14/21 days The public clinic / hospital docs are useless, they did ultrasound, swab test, urine test, NAATs and kept saying I was fine. Until last month, a private specialist ordered a semen culture and the test came back Strep B. I am currently on Augmentin 675mg x 2 for 14 days.
Suffered in silence with pain in central pelvic area for 2 mths, during which time I began to have a light brown discharge. After an episode of severe pain which spread to the rectal area diagnosed with Pelvic Inflammatory Disease, 10 days of ciprofloxacin & nystatin suppository. There are many types of parasites in this world and some that do not show up in typical tests here in USA. Medical protocal is usually ineffective for parasites. Sounds like to me a good colon cleanse and strong probiotic will help you feel better. Good luck.
I was ignoring it and if any day problem get worse, I would take Pepto Bismol and problem would be solved for 1-2 days. Then I had Dengue fever, I went to Doctor and explained him everything.
Sometimes when I have had a flare, with bacterial overgrowth in the intestines, my gastro has prescribed a 10 day course of ciprofloxacin, which tends to sort it out. If Zoe cannot tolerate the Flagyl, you could ask for Cipro I guess. Getting the pediasure will help keep Zoe nourished until she can get back on to normal food. Oh, I feel so much better after reading your last post as I was really concerned for both of you.
What is the associated risks beside those that are similar to that of having unprotected fellatio? I know of intestinal parasites and hepatitis A/B on top of those listed for unprotected fellatio. For those listed, would the course of antibiotics I took also took care of them except for Syphilis? Thanks!
You mentioned a test you had done that looks for over 400 types of parasites. I need to find out what they've actually looked for. I've started thinking I would have to live with Irritable Bowel Syndrome for the rest of my life and I've been trying to find some healthy alternatives, such as L-Glutamine to build up my gut and flaxseed oil to soothe a bit. This hasn't helped. I gave in and took the Bentyl.
There is a reason you have to pay cash 1st and most insurance compaines will not pay for these tests. Also, why insurance wont pay for chronic Lyme, beacuse it cant be proved. In end, the CDC needs a better test, and I think many of these 2nd hand Lyme labs are not accuate at all.
TX for 48 weeks relapser had hep C for 36yrs might TX again with the new drugs. So glad I did not read this before I went to Costa Rica, lived on the beach and in the water, ate lots of raw fresh fish. Hello, Thanks for any help anyone has to offer. I've been suffering from an inflammed and irritated meatus for just over seven weeks now and I'm really confused as to what's causing it or how to fix it. I'm in a foreign country at the moment so access to healthcare and consequently explaining my problem in a foreign language hasn't been the easiest. For that reason, I'm writing here to see if anyone could lend some advice.
I went back to my Infectious Disease doctor. Both the blood test for parasites and the Fungitell (test to detect invasive fungal infetion) came back negative. He told me to just wait and see if my symptoms get worse. Very frustrating. Last week, I noticed what could've been blood in my stools. Then, a few days later, one of my stools was pale-colored and had what I can only describe as a fuzzy mold on it. I told him all of this, and he didn't seem to be concerned about it.
I went to the doctor today and said the first thing he wants to do is get a stool sample to test for parasites and bacteria. So we'll see. But reading what's been posted I'm going to monitor my diet and see what happens. These episodes are scary and make me panicky which may be making it worse for me...I don't know!!!!
Av, its horrible. Mine has been going on for three years. The only benefit is that I do not hear my husband's snoring. I lay down and they immediately clog. I did used to get really nasty smelling crud out of them every morning. I have had times when my jaw is so sore, or my ear, or below my ear. This has been such a pain in "the ear" for me. Richt now the itchiness is truly driving me nuts.
I found a person on the MSN body odor support forum who had a bad odor for a long time and then the odor went away after being treated for H. Pylori, but then the coughing and sneezing started after that. Interesting. Another person on the MSN board said he was also treated for H. Pylori and then the coughing/sneezing started! Question: Do any of you burp a lot? Here is a thread that should be read: http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=561071#i Read the replies to that link also.
March 4th so we will see. I am posting my updates since I think it is important for other people looking for some sort of answers to see what they may end up going through.
In February of this year I got a CT scan and the ENT doctor said I have a severe deviated septum with chronic sinusitis. I was treated for a sinus infection and that was it. I still felt bad so I went to a neurologist. He wrote it off as a vestibular problem. I did vestibular therapy for 2 months with almost no relief. In May when allergy season started, everything got worse. I have had nonstop sinus pressure/pain, headache, dizziness, major eye strain, my face is sore, my teeth are sore.
