I had to have a root canal redone as my previous dentist did not get the whole nerve and it became infected. The Dentist put me on amoxicillin 875mg twice a day, after 6 days I called him as it was having no effect. he then put me on clyndamycin 300mg twice a day, this is day two, it seemed better this morning and by this afternoon it isswelling slightly the tissue above my tooth is spongie again and I can tell it's filling with pus.

Is the antibiotic ciprofloxacin effective to treat chlamydia? If so, what dosage?

In parallel, we did the semen analysis also at a Urology center. They have prescribed Ciprofloxacin 500mg for 14 days-2 dosage each day. After the 2 week period the sexual health clinic advised me to see my general practitioner because the chlamydia should be gone. The following drugs were prescribed the for me Ciprofloxacin. After using the drug for some days, the burning sensation stopped and the red swollen vanished. hi just a question about steroid use. I dont have MS but was recently diagnosed with Autoimmune Encephalitis after having a brain biopsy 3 weeks ago. Several months ago I was on IVIG which really didn't help my symptoms, so now I'm going to try a trial of prednisone. My neurologist wants to start me on 60mg then slowly taper my dosage. I'm so nervous because I've been reading all the side effects to this large of a dose.

my mother was diagnosed with mrsa in her eyes, she was cultured and it came back positive . they gave her antibiotics by iv in the hospital, and sent her home with ciprofloxacin drops for her eyes. her eyes were red and swollen when she was diagnosed with this. all this went away for about a month. now it is back. im worried the mrsa is active again. does she need more antibiotics. i know mrsa is resistant to most antibiotics, but shouldnt you try them to see if they will work?

I was prescribed ciprofloxacin for a UTI today, and am a little nervous about taking it because it says "It did not cause birth defects but it did appear to increase the risk for miscarriages when given to pregnant rabbits." what?!?! My Ob suggested it, and the pharmacist said it doesn't sound like it will be an issue and if the OB suggested it, then it's probably fine.. Ughh I hate taking medicine. Did anyone else use oral antibiotics during early pregnancy and turn out okay?!

They have more info on dosage now so it is probably more safe now than when you were born. Also through the IV it will help relieve pain in your whole body( but won't take pain away) so they probably won't let you walk around. I will be getting Demerol when I can't take the pain anymore because I want to walk around.

A close family member of mine has crohns disease, she is currently taking the medication methotrexate once weekly. Her doctor recently increased her dosage as her crohns moved from "mild" to "moderate to severe" over the past year and has entered into her small intestines now.
