Started taking ciprofloxacin for infection. Has taken it many many times before but this time i felt that my skipped beats increased quite alot. Can ciprofloxacin do this???
Is it possible for ciprofloxacin to cause vitreous detachment and floaters? I had never noticed floaters previously, but after a 20-day course of ciprofloxacin I now have 4 or 5 floaters across both eyes and have also experienced flashing lights in my eyes when I am in a dark room.
Had you been exercising at the gym non stop and got the muscle soreness when taking the cipro, then yes, I would have suspected that may have been a side effect from the cipro.
Whilst you are ill with an infection and on an antibiotic, you should not be doing strenuous exercises anyway. You should give your body time to heal and take things easy. Also by exercising you may have been further spreading the bacteria around your system.

I took 1 dose of 500mg Cipro Friday night at 5:30p.m. Immediately felt flushed and red in the face.
I continue to have flare ups 3 days later. How long does this take to go away.
Perhaps this is not the right venue, as I'm certain I don't have an STD because there was no encounter. However, I am showing signs of urethritis. I just wanted to find out if ciprofloxacin can treat gonorhea. I had a discharge on my penis and was prescribed cipro for five days. After taking this for 2 days the discharge stopped and after finishing the course even the pain disappeared. My fear is that the infection might reoccure since im told cipro is not the best treatment for sti.
This would be an unusual form of allergic reaction to ciprofloxacin and if it had been due to the cipro, stopping it should have helped.

If Levofloxacin caused peripherial neuropathy will Cipro also if I take that as an alternate?

Furthermore, if you are being treated with ciprofloxacin for a possible chlamydial infection, it may be the wrong medication. Ciprofloxacin is NOT recommended for chlamydial treatment although many related medications are. It would be best to wait two weeks until you are tested.
