After the 2 week period the sexual health clinic advised me to see my general practitioner because the chlamydia should be gone. The gp examined me on April 18th and decided to give me ciprofloxacin which I presume he diagnosed that it is a uti. I had completed the week's course of it and the pain in my epididymitis has changed from a burn to an achy feeling. I decided to get myself tested on April 24th at another facility that was not the clinic.
On the other hand, if your doctor thinks that you have prostatitis, ciprofloxacin is good therapy for prostatitis (prostatitis is not caused by chlamydia).
If you had chlamydia, which is unlikely, cipro however could mask its presence.

I was prescribed ciprofloxacin to treat what might be suspected as prostatitis following the STD. I took ciprofloxacin for approx two months. I had to stop taking ciprofloxacin due to side effects. The symptoms have since continued, and I have almost daily pain in my pelvic floor region.
The pain feels like my pelvic floor region is tightening up and pulling the scrotum and penis inwards. Around the anus it feels hot and tight. The whole area feels 'pinched' and sore.

Symptoms disappeared almost immediately. Swab test came back negative for chlamydia and gonorrhea. Blood test also returned negative.
On day 8, I experienced a return of symptoms. Very warm sensation behind and (seemingly) in the testicles. Also a thin discharge and frequent urination. Testicles remained warm (and very low hanging) but not as warm as on day 8. Urologist prescribed Cipro (250mg 2x/day 10 days). Did not alleviate the symptoms.
I have a really wierd discharge from my penis after successful Chlamydia treatment. During the first round of Chlamydia treatment, azithromycin didn't work according to my retest, so I took Doxycycline and according to the results from the test last Saturday- I am now free and clear of both Chlamydia and Gonarrhea. However, I have this new type of discharge that happens in the morning. The discharge appears similar to semen but it can't be. Urination is painful.

Jan 23 - i got painful urination which went away throughout the day and sometimes got itchy although it came and went
Jan 26- I go to the doctor and he gives me a blood test for Hiv, a swab for gohnerrea and urine test for chlamydia although i did tell him what happened he said it was most likely irritation

I have swollen/retracted testicles with pain in the back of them which sometimes I can feel in my legs/buttocks. I also have some pain in urethra but no pain during urination and also no discharge. I have been taking Ciprofloxacin but hasn't really helped. I'm getting frustrated. Took chlamydia/gonohrrea/trich vaginosis after 5 days of protected sex with a girl I don't know much and all came back negative.
No pain during urination and no discharge. I got tested for chlamydia, gonorrhea and HIV RNA at day 5 and day 13 after possible exposure and both came back negative. My symptoms started happening 5 days after my last sexual encounter. It has been 3 weeks with this pain now. After I explained my symptoms he gave me one dose of 1000 mg Azithromycin and 500 mg Ciprofloxacin for 7 days, as he assumed that I have Chlamydia and Gonorrhea but we didn’t take any test. 48 hours later the discharge and muscle pain disappeared, but my throat was still sore and my tongue white-yellow and my lymph node under my jaw got swollen as well and I felt discomfort on the head of my penis and testicles.

But the doctors that it was because of exams DST never put your chances of having chlamydia and gonorrhea orally, after a few months I had an infection in the lungs. My doctor passed to me to take 7 days Ciprofloxacin 500 mg, 3 days Azithromycin 1g. I have not been diagnosed with any of these diseases, I think it was because he did not request a test for gonorrhea or chlamydia in the throat. After my medication my symptoms disappeared after 4 to 5 days later.
He did a urine test and swab and i as given azithromycin and apo-ciproflox to treat both gonorhhea and chlamydia befor the results came in and i tested neg for both, then i started having trouble urinating, so i wnet to the doctor and he said my prostate felt a bit full so i was given ciprofloxacin. the symptoms cleared up and todays is april 26. Well this morning i was urinating and at the end of the urination(after the urine stopped) i saw a white discharge? Could i know what exactly this is?
Then I panicked and ran to the nearest pharmacy and and took 1g of Zithromax, 400mg of Cefixime and 2x500g of Ciprofloxacin. I am planning to take additionally 500mg of Ciprofloxacin 2x daily.
My questions are now 1) Are these treatments effective so soon after potential exposure or do I have to wait and see if I get symptoms and then repeat the treatment? 2) Will these treatments generally cure Gonorrhea, Chlamydia and Syphills or do I need others?
m sure you can safely stop the ciprofloxacin (ciprofloxacin was the wrong treatment for NGU anyway). As uncomfortable the symptoms have been for you, there will be no lasting harm.

In any case, with the medication taken above with the ciprofloxacin for 10 days. Would I be covered for chlamydia, gonorrhea, trich? Should I ask for those tests when I go back for the for the followup or would the antibiotics really skew the results?

Went to the gyno who only tested me on chlamydia and bv, gave me 6 days of azithromycin, 5 days ciprofloxacin and flagyl ovules. After that I felt fine , though the chlamydia was negative. I occasionally had yellow discharge and one arthritis. One week after the arthritis I also experienced the same vaginal discomfort with burning pee this time.(we only had protected sex). I was given the same treatment, didn't improve, got more flagyl got even worse.
It is recommended, curative therapy for chlamydia and NGU. In addition, the dose used for chlamydia cures some but not all gonorrhea as well. Finally, taking it will likely prevent development of syphilis if you were exposed.
2. My guess is that this is another name for ciprofloxacin, a medication which will cure most but not all gonorrhea (some strains are resistant).

I have been tested a year ago and got a positive result for chlamydia and I was too nervous, so I did not go to the doctor until 4 months later, which was last week, and got a prescription of (2 X 500) azithromycin to take care of it. My doctor had me do a urine test to make sure if I had anything else. Then a week later, I was told that my urie was tested positive for gonorrhea as well. SO I went back and picked up the medication for it, which was one 500mg ciprofloxacin tablet.
At 6 weeks post exposure I got tested for HIV, Syphillis, HSV 1/2, Hepatitis B and C. Three weeks post exposure I was tested for Chlamydia and Gonnorhea. All tests came back negative. The tests administered are below. My question is how accurate are these tests at those time frames? The only symptoms I have had are my penis head seems slightly red, and I'm getting a lot of dribble after I urinate or atleast more than I usually would.
Your homework has paid off; your self-diagnosis seems quite reasonable. Only about 5% of nongonococcal urethritis (NGU) is due to viruses and adenovirus is the most common cause of those cases. Herpes is possible, but usually is associated with overt herpetic lesions of the penis. As you also seem to be aware, one clue to viral urethritis is redness of the urethral opening, and the combination of urethritis plus conjunctivitis also is typical of adenovirus.
