I am a 27 year old Canadian woman who has been living and working in Japan for the last 2 1/2 years. For the last year and a half I've been having a lot of problems with gastritis and reflux and I can't seem to get rid of them. I first noticed the symptoms last year when I felt a terrible burning in my stomach and had a lot of belching and heartburn after I ate. I had an upper GI X-ray done and there wasn't anything wrong except for excess acid production.
Then on the 2nd of January 2012, i went to the GP, and the doc gave me Ciprofloxacin, says it might be bacteria.. then Asked me to do a stool sample, and i did, it was clear(no bacteria in stool) But My diarrhea stopped around 2 weeks... I went back to see the doctor, he said Your gut takes time to settle (might take weeks or months) He gave me buscopan... i took for 3 days but to no effect, then i reached out to my gastro specialist back home, he told me why buscopan?
I was completely normal before this all started, and it seemed to have started after new years eve after drinking Wine and champagne and I can;t help but think that that has done something to me that I should be regretting now. Prior to all this I was a very active person, running about 4-5 times a week. I just want my life back.

It was utter bliss - good food, massages, facials, pedicures, hydrotherapy exercises every morning in the indoor pool, dance and exercise classes, and we were allowed Wine with dinner. Remember "mdmystery" from the last PATM message board, who was cured after only drinking a small glass of red Wine each night and doing a lemon/lime enema every 3 days? I was looking for a connection between the red Wine and our problems. This is what I found: "Resveratrol and red Wine extracts inhibit the growth of CagA+ strains of Helicobacter pylori in vitro." Hmmm...
Hi Everyone. This is my first post. I started having problems about 5 years ago. It was occasional problems such as mild sinus pain/pressure and headache with mild eye strain. Each year it has gotten worse. Over the course of the past 5 years I have seen multiple doctors across different specialites: Ears, Nose & Throat, Neurologist, Allergist, and my Intern. I have had MRI's and CT scans. This year has been the worst so far. I have already gotten 2 sinus infections.
