Ciprofloxacin and wine

Common Questions and Answers about Ciprofloxacin and wine

cipro

I am a 27 year old Canadian woman who has been living and working in Japan for the last 2 1/2 years. For the last year and a half I've been having a lot of problems with gastritis and reflux and I can't seem to get rid of them. I first noticed the symptoms last year when I felt a terrible burning in my stomach and had a lot of belching and heartburn after I ate. I had an upper GI X-ray done and there wasn't anything wrong except for excess acid production.
Then on the 2nd of January 2012, i went to the GP, and the doc gave me ciprofloxacin, says it might be bacteria.. then Asked me to do a stool sample, and i did, it was clear(no bacteria in stool) But My diarrhea stopped around 2 weeks... I went back to see the doctor, he said Your gut takes time to settle (might take weeks or months) He gave me buscopan... i took for 3 days but to no effect, then i reached out to my gastro specialist back home, he told me why buscopan?
I was completely normal before this all started, and it seemed to have started after new years eve after drinking wine and champagne and I can;t help but think that that has done something to me that I should be regretting now. Prior to all this I was a very active person, running about 4-5 times a week. I just want my life back.

Also I have tried, salycylic shampoos, tar shampoos, jojoba oil, AND nothing seems to help. Please help me and my hair. I am a busy college student, who unfortunately does not have the time and money to deal with this.
It was utter bliss - good food, massages, facials, pedicures, hydrotherapy exercises every morning in the indoor pool, dance and exercise classes, and we were allowed wine with dinner. It cost him some $3,000, but as I had been on hospital prescribed Fortijuice for 4 months, no solid food whatsoever, and severe faecal incontinence, it was just what I needed to perk myself up and come to terms with my cancer.
These didn't help, I then started to develop other symptoms, ringing in the ear every day to this date, pins needles in hands and feet and muscle twitching all over my body. If I sneeze or close my eyes up tightly and re open my eye twitches everytime uncontrollably.
Some people (like myself) when depressed and suffer from stress eat more and gain weight. Others, like yourself, it affects the appetite and therefore you don't fee like eating. Please go to see a GP, (hope you have been keeping a food and drink and "how I feel every day" diary), take your notes with you to the doctor so that he will see a pattern of what is going on.

Tannins are not only found in coffee and soda, but in chocolate and red wine as well. Adverse reactions to herbicides and pesticides used to grow coffee beans is a much more common culprit of adverse reactions. Keeping a diary of food consumed, physical and mental feelings each day, and physical activity will aid in discovering specific reasons for allergic reactions. Caffeine allergy symptoms can be as subtle as tingling in the mouth, itchy skin, and minor swelling of the throat.
Alcohol use is discouraged because of the potential interaction between alcohol and coumadin in patients with liver disease and due to the increased risks of bleeding if one was to fall after having a bit too much. An occasional glass of wine would probably be ok with your doctor. Q: Just how problematic and restrictive is the use of coumadin, I'm hearing and reading that this is a nasty drug to be on.

I have taken Doxycline 100mg capsules for 10 days and I am currently taking Ciprofloxacin 500mg for 10 days and still no improvement. This is very fustrating... doesnt seem like there are many links out there to this specific type of problem. This is the first link that actually explains what I am going through. I feel the vibration all day long and it has a pattern to it. It is a weired feeling and I can not figure out what causes this and why it will not go away. Can you tell me why I feel this?
First, I will feel a bit dizzy and nauseas, then I will have to run to the bathroom because the diarrhea hits me and I feel like while I'm going to the bathroom I will pass out, then the nausea and dizziness with cold chillls and then I am hot so I have to take the sweater off that I put on because I was cold. I am 30 years old and I have a mild case of lupus that has been under control with plaquinil over the past ten years.
My last period was 1/16 and ended 1/21. A few nights ago, I woke up to go to the bathroom and I practically had to hold them as I walked (no bra to bed) cuz they hurt. I went back to bed and they still were sore when I woke up. I am not large (34 a/b) and they did feel less sore as the day went on but were sore again when I woke up the next day. They don't hurt as much now but kinda feel tender right along the underwire bra. It's not just one boob but both? Any ideas? Any suggestions?
Hi Everyone. This is my first post. I started having problems about 5 years ago. It was occasional problems such as mild sinus pain/pressure and headache with mild eye strain. Each year it has gotten worse. Over the course of the past 5 years I have seen multiple doctors across different specialites: Ears, Nose & Throat, Neurologist, Allergist, and my Intern. I have had MRI's and CT scans. This year has been the worst so far. I have already gotten 2 sinus infections.
Remember "mdmystery" from the last PATM message board, who was cured after only drinking a small glass of red wine each night and doing a lemon/lime enema every 3 days? I was looking for a connection between the red wine and our problems. This is what I found: "Resveratrol and red wine extracts inhibit the growth of CagA+ strains of Helicobacter pylori in vitro." http://www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov/articlerender.fcgi?artid=1489755 http://lib.bioinfo.pl/pmid:17230601 Hmmm...
