Ciprofloxacin has been linked to rare but occasionally severe and even fatal cases of acute liver injury..... i m not a doctor but this is not assuring, our doctor always used agumentin, check with your doctor if that is suitable for your problem.
I can confirm that and in my case - it's been 5 months and just a tiny bit of recovery.
Rule of thumb is to always take your synthroid apart from any other meds or vitamins by at least a couple of hours. With the exception of Iron and calcium which need to be taken 4 hours apart.
2 months after I had an unprotected intercourse I started to have burning sensations during peeing and a white penile discharge. I went to a clinic and doctor gave me 2 types of antibiotics (said to treat both gonorrhea and chlamydia). This was last Thursday. I took 1 pill Ciprofloxacin on the same evening, followed by 2 pills of Azithromycin on Friday and 1 on Saturday. I followed all the intake instructions from the doctor and the pharmacist.
He gave me a cultre(I forget how its spelled) and it came up negative so it he put me on this antibiotic called Doxycycline for two weeks and no change. So then he puts me on this other stuff called Ciprofloxacin for about 20 days and once again no change. So NOW he outs me on this other stuff called sulfsamenthoxazole and recommends me to a urologist.
If you have an allergy you constantly wear your intestine down, and therefore cannot absorb nutrients properly, and therefore have deficiency in certain vitamins. Thank you for the info, I'll try going gluten free again, and see what happens!
a few days later the pain got much worse so I went to hospital and was admitted as they were worried about appendix.. i was disharged and given the muscle strain explanation.. 2-3 weeks later the pain spread around to the other side of my pelvis and i returned to the doctor who checked my prostate.. he said it was inflamed so gave me a long round of antibiotics incase it was an infection..
Mesotherapy employs multiple injections of pharmaceutical and homeopathic medications, plant extracts, vitamins, and other ingredients into the subcutaneous fat. Mesotherapy injections metabolically target adipose fat cells, apparently by inducing lipolysis, rupture and cell death among them. Soft tissue disease due to atypical mycobacteria infection include post-traumatic abscesses which commonly occur after injection.
I don't think the vitamins/minerals having anything to do with your sleepiness. My first guess would be the ciprofloxacin and amoxicillin, whether independently or from the combination of them and your birth control. Prescription drugs typically affect sleep cycles and when you've got more than one going at once, you're at a higher risk for disruptive side effects. Another thing to keep in mind is the half-life of these drugs.
He diagnosed me with chronic bacterial urethro-prostatitis and prescribed oral antibiotics for 15 days (clarithromycin, ciprofloxacin, ornidazole) + some other nature related pills (vitamins and energy). I am now on my 10th day of antibiotics, and there is no result whatsoever upon the redness of my glans and foreskin. I have also seen a dermatologist before I went to the urologist.
I was born with VUR and was on antibiotics until I was 5 years old, since then I had around 10-20 UTI's a year but since january when I turned 19 I have had 9 confirmed UTI's ( white blood cells, protein and blood) and have been given antibiotics for them ( trimethoprim, amoxicillin, nitrofurantoin) along with the confirmed ones I have been experiencing all of the same symptoms; frequency of needed to go the toilet, pain when urinating and pain pretty much constantly on a daily basis, which I cann
He has tried Ciprofloxacin and Doxycycline in case of a prostatitis. A prostate exam performed on me in May '09 was normal. My doctor plans to do an EPS if symptoms don't improve by March 2010. I also have a sticky, dry mouth that begun with the dysuria symptoms, although this may be due to my medication for anxiety (Lexapro). Any ideas what could be going on? Should I consult with a nephrologist instead? I take Lexpro 10mg for anxiety, Symbicort 80/4.5 & Singulair 10mg for asthma.
They went ahead and gave me a script and when I went to my pharmacy, I asked the pharmacist what vitamins or herbs could cause a false negative. I take oreganol P73 and echinacea goldenseal. I also take B complex along with normal vitamins. The pharmacist said the echinacea goldenseal could cause a negative result because it masks drugs in the body. I have taken it for years, actually prescribed verbally by a doctor along with cranberry pills, due to bladder infections.
There are thirteen drugs known to cause false negatives in these test. I have posted them before and will find them and re post them. I am aware that a lot of people are having this problem and as you say it could be the labs but there's no way to know for sure. I would ask for a blood serum test.
During the first twenty years of this disease, Prednisone and Sulfasalazine were the main treatment. Later Antibiotics (Ciprofloxacin or Metronidazole), Corticosteroids, 6-Mercaptopurine (6-MP), Methotrexate, and Cyclosporine when I ended up in emergency rooms. Which happened more than I can remember. None of these worked as the Prednisone did. I eventually started receiving Remicade treatments that helped with the fistulas for a while. This was temporary and I had to go back every 6 weeks.
Do start yourself on the Vitamin B-complex and the seafood is for vitamins A and E which help make the mucosa in the body stronger and resistant to infections. Taking a walk or exercise gets the adrenaline flowing and releases endorphins which help keep you happy and also help manage pain. I think you should insist on a culture sensitivity for the urinary bacteria and discuss radioimaging options that can help identify why the UTIs occur so frequently. Think of the options open to you.
Following the end of the prescription (End of March) i start to feel tingling in my fingers and toes and a little arthritis .......SO EVENTUALLY Me and my Present girlfriend have unprotected sex (April 2008). I just woke up one morning and was in excruciating pain! It was than that I went to my doc's and had a urine sample done and found out I had a bad kidney infection. It is not easy for me to tell if I have an infection, cuz I am usually always in pain in my lower back due to Endo! I was put on Macrobid for 10 days. And I think the pain is subsiding now. Thank god! That did help tho!
After six months looking for several doctors and trying everything I could heal myself taking ciprofloxacin 500 mg twice daily for 20 days and I used an antibacterial ointment in the nostrils. Remembering that you can not take the medicine with dairy products for at least 2 hours. Ideally, everything should be totally excluded from milk during these 20 days. I'm no doctor and do not advise taking the drugs without medical consultation. But it worked for me....
My daughter was recently diagnosed with Crohn's Disease and she is scheduled for surgery in the next two weeks. She is barely coping and we are finding ways to help her get back on her feet. I found this website of a homeopathy doctor about an alternative treatment to crohn's which does not require steroids, his website is http://www.crohnswholistic.com I am quite apprehensive about taking the plunge and making my daughter go to this homeopathy doctor, his name s Dr. Namaya.
Last time i went to the doctor i did tell him that i felt like ****, sensitive to light, but he prescribed vitamins/minerals and told me to drink gatorade. Last time i was in the ER because of the depression symptoms, hemeroid(again depression symptom caused by constipation) and thought my liver was enlarged which the doctor confirmed that it was not and did liver tests which came back negative to make me feel better. The IV also made me feel better.
Also I have tried, salycylic shampoos, tar shampoos, jojoba oil, AND nothing seems to help. Please help me and my hair. I am a busy college student, who unfortunately does not have the time and money to deal with this.
No it won't make you feel better today but it will in the long run. Smoking does deplete your body of vitamins and other healing agents including oxegin(SP?) It does daily damage which in the long run does permanent damage to your body, not just your lungs. Doctor don't like to do surgeries on people that smoke because their healing is not as good as a non-smoker. Again I mention the PIRIFORMIS MUSCLE and see a good physical therapist if you haven't already.
I went down with some night fevers and had a widal test and was diagnosed with typhoid (not related to the *******, I guess) and I took Ciprofloxacin for 5 days, 2 tablets daily. This separate incidence which made me took this strong antibiotics pretty much ruled out any STD infection caused by bacteria, right? The typhoid fevers went away within the first couple of days of taking the antibiotics.
Off the Lamictal and onto Topamax, which caused no symptoms BUT completely altered his personality. Finally off DOPAMAX and now on Cabatrol...and guess what? Day 4 of intense headache and now severe neck pain. My guess is we're off to the ER shortly, as it's gotten pretty bad. Sigh - more med changes!
The only thing that seems to help is a healthy diet and no booze. lots of water, fish, vitamins, fish oil tabs and a multi. It flares up when I drink booze or eat a poor diet for even just one day. Probably a silver lining somewhere there.
Feet / lower legs continue to tighten when standing long. Trying to fix it, but need to get my thyroid levels back up for them to heal. Magnesium and B vitamins help hypothyroid induced Neuropathy. Hylands 'Leg Cramps" is the best thing out there to help relieve overall nerve / muscle issues - not just for legs, its cheap and wallmart and walgreens have it.

These didn't help, I then started to develop other symptoms, ringing in the ear every day to this date, pins needles in hands and feet and muscle twitching all over my body. If I sneeze or close my eyes up tightly and re open my eye twitches everytime uncontrollably.
