t gotten my results, yet. I stopped taking the Ciprofloxacin and the Metronidazole, and I feel way better. I still have the occasional pain, and the HIDA scan hurt really bad, too. It didn't click that it could've been my medications until today (Sunday), and obviously I won't be seeing my doc. Is it possible that these medications could have caused me to have a gallbladder attack? If so, will all of these tests find anything?
Thinking that it was caused by an std,I want to the doctor who gave me a ceftriaxone injection and put me on ciprofloxacin pills for 3 days.

hello, I have recently had a urine test and tested positive for ngu, been prescribed metronidazole, ciprofloxacin & prescribed myself with doxycycline tablets after research on the web. 1 day after i start medication I notice a rash in the head of my penis, it doesn't itch or irritate me, If I hadn't of seen it I wouldn't of knew it was there? can this be a side effect of by medication, or any other sti?
I decided to take another test at the clinic because I felt the ciprofloxacin or one of the other medications could have possibly effected the test(I can say that I know this is unlikely because the test searches for DNA and not the organism and if ciprofloxacin still killed it partially(ciprofloxacin isn't effective in killing it the internet says) the DNA would still have been there). The test results came back saying equivocal for chlamydia.
I can’t empty my bowel, there is inflammation in my rectum and doctor after colonoscopy said it must be proctitis, and gave some medicines “ Ciproxin 500 (ciprofloxacin), Metronidazole tablets USP 500mg, NT-TOX (NITAZOXANIDE)”, by taking the pills I instantly got cured, but by the time the medicines were finished, again I have the same problem.
So whenever I have antibiotics its inflammation goes away, but when I don't consume antibiotics it comes back.
The reason that the other poster could have been cured by cipro is that she may have had a Mycoplasma and it may have been sensitive to ciprofloxacin. But the standard treatment for bv is either metronidazole or Clindamycin. So you can try the cipro and see if it clears up but if it doesn't then if can take clindamycin I would then take probiotics after. Cipro can treat a lot of UTI's but not all. It depends on the bacteria that is causing the infection and how resistant it is.
I don't know if I have Trich or not but I was wondering if taking Ciprofloxacin 500mg 2x daily would cure it?

i had history of unprotected sexual intercourse for 5 months ago with prostitute women i developed after that severe urethral pain and testicular and renal pain . iused many antibiotics through this period including : ciprofloxacin . azithromycin . cefixime .doxycyclin . cefuroxime .ceftriaxone and singl dose azithromycin but all of this not benifit me .
I got lightheaded and felt I was going to faint . I quickly wiped and a lot of bright red blood was on the toilet paper on first couple wipes, after several wipes it was clean. I haven't bled after that , but I can still feel a sharp pain inside my anus. Is this something serious ? Also can this affect my ability to hold in my poop/pee?
I was then prescribed doxycycline and ciprofloxacin, both for a 7 days, twice a day and told that i should feel a lot better.
By about the 16th or 17th day after this I noticed the same clear discharge as before but now a bit more copious with a slight white tint. I came home from work one day and there was definately a good amount of discharge...unlike before. i was given doxycycline and more metronidazole and finished these about three weeks ago. the tests results for stds and candida all came back negative, but the sympoms are still present.
i am going back to the gum the next time i can get away from work, but no one has been able to tell me what kind of infection this is or what kind of treatment will work. i would think it was only bv but the doctor said that it was an infection of some kind.
i went back to my GP and he gave me another round of azithromycin 1g, 2g metronidazole and a 10-day course of doxycycline, 200mg a day in a single dose. again i finished the course, but the symptoms won't go away. he gave me another round of azithromycin 1g. after that i had another 10-day doxycycline course together with 2g metronidazole. still the symptoms are there.
