My doctor told me that I should feel better within 24 hours so I was wondering if this is normal or if it is something I should be conserned about. Hello, I was diagnosed with a kidney infection 4 weeks ago (left side) note i did not have any UTI infection symptoms that may have caused the kidney infection Two things what stick to me that may have caused this - over exercising the previous two weeks and i also lifted something heavy in the gym which i pulled my lower back muscle on.

I have still been experiencing some symptoms of the UTI (they aren't as bad as before) such as a slight burning while I pee and an urge to urinate.

first i wake up and i feel dizzy like a mild dull headache at the back of my eyes and a stiff neck at the back of my neck and head , making me feel quite dizzy and unbalanced , also if noticed that im getting like leg cramps and sometimes joint pain in my knees , also sometimes when im still or lying down i notice i get muscle spams and jerking , also my jaw can at times ( but i have braces and could have something to do with that) also my tongue can feel quite heavy , and my chest feels tight
Its gradually got worse and after a few weeks, i had alot of pressure around my bladder and the pressure and pain builds when my bladder is full and goes away with urination.
Sometimes i also get a throbbing/shooting pain in the kidney/lower back area and around the pelvis. I went to the doctors a month ago, thinking it would be a urinary tract infection, was pescribed ciprofloxacin for 10 days, no improvement.
Urine test results come back= no infection.
They took blood and urine samples and diagnosed a kidney infection, despite the fact I had not had kidney pain - although some slight genital ache and need to urinate urgently. Prescribed 10 day Ciprofloxacin antibiotics which I finished. Mild ache in kidneys only started once I started taking the antibiotics. Doctor took another urine sample after I'd finished the course and told me the infection was gone.
Hi, I have been diagnosed with several unobstructive kidney stones on my left side. I have no fever...I went to the er and a ct scan showed a 3 cm cyst on my left ovary in addition to revealing the stones (right kidney). I am bloated and aching, and my back and entire abdomen hurts. It's been over a week and half...I am on an antibiotic as well as percocet as it is the only drug that takes the edge off. My question is, how much longer will it take for the stones to pass?

My problem is that i am 20 years old and i applayed for being a pilot in the emirates airlines, i passed all the exams but they asked me to get rid of the kidney stones and i got like one month as a chance. thats why i am in a hurry.
please please Dr any advis that my help me to get rid of it in such short time??
Resently Doctor decided to take Urine test and found bladder infection and gave me CIPRO as an antibiotic. I feel rush under my ribs and pain in the back (right side). Do you think that this infection can cause that? I am still taking this CIPRO things and hope that this'll help. Do you know if lymph nodes can case pain or infection could go up from bladder and affect other areas? Please help!
I went to doctor and it looks that infection is the primary reason. My W.B.C count is now decreasing and the blood is gone too. I am on Ciprofloxacin. Drinking lot of water. By the way, culture did not grow any bacteria but my W.B.C was too high on the first day of urine examination.
I have a question, After 7 days of 250mg Cipro, do you think this will totally go away? I just don't want to risk my Kindney. Will culture help when the bacterial count is low.
Visited primary care physician today, she took urine test and said there was lot of blood in urine and thought might be a kidney stone and told me to do x-ray and after that she said there is no kidney stone she said me to drink plenty of water and prescribed me ciprofloxacin hcl 500mg and told me come back after 2 weeks
and they look at a urine sample and the only thing they saw was blood in my urine. I was diagnosed with a UTI and I was ciprofloxacin 500mg twice per day. I was instructed to return if not better in 3 to 4 days. By Tuesday night I was really not feeling well and was having a lot of pain, I was beginning to wonder if maybe it was a kidney stone not a UTI. I went to bed and woke-up around 3:00 am in a lot of pain. I decided that it must be a kidney stone, I went to the ER.
just went to doctor again dr. said i it is a skin infection. i am on ciprofloxacin 500 mg. he said could be because of low immune. that is me. im done . it will take six month to test positive without a doubt. i have never been sick before. it hiv, period.
t feel right and I suggested a kidney infection as I had started having some back pain. My doctor checked my urinalysis (which I did take after the 2nd round of cipro, and they also did a culture) and said she found sodium urate crystals in my urine.
Her suggestion was to decrease my protein and alcohol intake (I'm an extremely healthy 29 yr old female), and to start drinking cherry juice on a daily basis to flush out the sodium urate crystals.
