I went to the emergency room for diarrhea and vomitting. They gave me ciprofloxacin for an antibiotic and I had never taken it before. When I took the 3rd dose, I had the worst diarrhea ever so I decided to stop the antibiotics. Subsequently, I took 2 tablets of ultracarbon and rested. My diarrhea became better however the next day and the day after, I experienced mild to sharp stomach cramp due to excessive gas which I must discharge.

A few days later, on December 29, I had a high fever (102°F / 39°C) and diarrhea. I went to the emergency room, they made an ecography on my belly and a complete blood count. The doctor said the CBC was totally fine, but the ecography revealed gastroenteritis. She gave me paracetamol, ciprofloxacin and bismuth pectin. The fever promptly went away and did not came back, I still have diarrhea but much milder (I'm writing this a day later).
at first i had severe diarrhea on the 29th of December 2011.. actually i woke up with so much gas in my stomach and it was so painful that i crawled to the toilet to induce vomit so the gas would come out. I was going to the toilet for like 10-15 times a day at the start...
Then on the 2nd of January 2012, i went to the GP, and the doc gave me ciprofloxacin, says it might be bacteria..
Had unprotected sex on 4/14/21 6 days later started having abdominal pain and frequent urination, upset stomach/diarrhea and muscle aches two weeks after. Had urine tests std/hiv screening at 4-5 weeks post incident and everything clear.
Been given doxycycline for 7 days, tried azithromycin and a shot.
Was on Bactrim for 2 weeks and no help but bad side effects.
Had cystoscopy and everything normal.
I can’t empty my bowel, there is inflammation in my rectum and doctor after colonoscopy said it must be proctitis, and gave some medicines “ Ciproxin 500 (ciprofloxacin), Metronidazole tablets USP 500mg, NT-TOX (NITAZOXANIDE)”, by taking the pills I instantly got cured, but by the time the medicines were finished, again I have the same problem.
So whenever I have antibiotics its inflammation goes away, but when I don't consume antibiotics it comes back.
I don't know if I have Trich or not but I was wondering if taking Ciprofloxacin 500mg 2x daily would cure it?
Hi guys need your advice, i have just came back from malaysia and had watery stools for a week. Just visited the doctor and she gave me ciprofloxacin antibiotics for five days. My diarrhea still persists. She claimed its a bacteria infection.

Your symptoms may be due to this medicine or art of the infection that you have. Try not to worry to avoid anxiety. If it persists inform your doctor for proper management. I read online that the combination of Ciprofloxacin and Azithromycin can be dangerous. Is this still the case, if the last Ciprodose was one week before the 2g Azithromycin dose?
Ciprofloxacin has been linked to rare but occasionally severe and even fatal cases of acute liver injury.....
i m not a doctor but this is not assuring, our doctor always used agumentin, check with your doctor if that is suitable for your problem.
I also started to have diarrhea. Naturally I freaked out and suspected some sort of STD. Since then, I went to immediate care twice and have had two negative tests for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea. The doctor said he thought it may be prostatitis and prescribed me 10 days of Ciprofloxacin. Unfortunately, I have had AWFUL side effects of the drug (I was floxed) and had to stop immediately after five days.
Well with the discharge gone and not returning as of yet (knock on wood) it does mean it is getting better.
I was at a festival so at first GP assumed food poisoning, my symptoms were diarrhea (which became bloody after a week), vomiting, sweats, weakness and fatigue. My GP did stool samples which showed nothing, but blood tests showed signs of infection so I was given Ciprofloxacin.
I couldn't eat at all for 10 days, and I lost 22lbs in just under 2 weeks. I was treated at a&e for dehydration, which did ease my nausea, but still couldn't eat.

He deduced I had a bacterial infection (infectious diarrhea) and prescribed ciprofloxacin twice a day for 7 days. I took one pill that night, and woke up feeling tremendously better. I was surprised how well I felt by July 16, like 90% better. I finished the antibiotics even though I felt fine.
Had diarrhea, vomiting, stomach cramps. Took ciprofloxacin, 2x 250mg per day for 5 days. Diarrhea subsided but nausea + stomach pain continued. On return have had 6 parasite tests - Aeromonas Hydrophilia found, but ciprofloxacin taken. No other parasites. Symptoms are worse over 2 years.
Symptoms:
- Constant nausea 20 mins after eating, worse in evening, and vomiting if no anti-emetics taken.
t have any ARS symptoms like fever, sore throat, or anything like. However I have had sore muscles and diarrhea which I believe may be due to the antibiotic Ciprofloxacin I have been on. I am still have anxiety because I never have unprotected risky sex like that. What say you guys?

so pleased you have a diagnosis and it does not look like IBD. I occasionally have to have Ciprofloxacin, an antibiotic, for 10 days, and this does help.
You now need to get strong, and I know only too well (after two and a half months last year on tube feeding, 10 hrs a night) how difficult it is to eat when you are feeling nauseous. My gastro prescribed Fortijuice as I didn't like Ensure - too milky. This is in little 300 ml.
