A medical doctor a few years ago told me that it is a prostate infection and prescribe Cipro (ciprofloxacin) an antibiotic. I did go away after a week of the medicine, but it is hard to say if it was just time or the antibiotic. I ave had to go back 3 times in the past 2 years for this. I cannot keep taking antibiotics as they are very bad for us. Now, for the past month I have had a chiropractor/nutritionist working a natural method.
Medicines like Buscopan or Atroveran never worked for me, and since 2 days ago I started taking Azulfin and Ciprofloxacin, believing I might have Crohn or IBS. So, I'm asking for a help of medicine I can't take to relief me of this crisis, I have much constipation and pain that makes me unable to walk. I'll take my ultrasonography and MRI results and bring it to a doctor as soon as I can, but I need a help to relief my pain as soon as possible. Thank you.
I have been prone to nasal infections, polyps. Four surgeries. And ingested various and a lot of antibiotics. In the past 3 1/2 yrs. I have been plagued with intestinal problems. Did the tests, colonoscopy etc. all normal. Is it possible that all of the antibiotics have affected my stomach? I am 83 yrs of age. And is there another way to treat this persistent nasal infection?

Mild cases of bacillary dysentery are often self-limiting and do not require antibiotics but severe cases require ciprofloxacin or macrolide antibiotics. Other causes of blood in stools are hemorrhoids and anal fissures, aspirin or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications, inflammatory bowel disease, diverticulosis, polyps (small growths) and cancerous tumors (malignant growths of tissue). But as you are having diarrhea along with the blood in stools,so chances of dysentery are quite high.

I had Upsarin just to make it stop - and immediately after I drank the Upsarin (it's Aspirin sort of), which goes in fluid/water, I felt sharp pain at the area where my penis starts - a bit to the left. It ached just the same as if you'd put alcohol on open would but from the inside. As If my skin was having some sort of rush and I put alcohol on it, but from the inside.

So there is that connection again between the immune system and flare ups of MS Now ciprofloxacin is an all-purpose antibiotic and the word hasn't yet gotten out. So I tend to see a lot of patients whose MS begins when they're being prescribed something like Cipro. Is this true for the other floxacins? There are cousins of Cipro that are available, there's oxfloxacin and levofloxacin. We're not sure yet, but if I had MS I'd avoid any drug that had the word floxacin in it.
however, for severe and complicated infections more prolonged therapy may be required. Ciprofloxacin should be administered at least 2 hours before or 6 hours after magnesium/aluminum antacids, or sucralfate, Videx® (didanosine) chewable/buffered tablets or pediatric powder for oral solution, other highly buffered drugs, or other products containing calcium, iron or zinc.
The aspirin had caused the ulcers and crypt abscesses in my large intestine to burst. I was in ICU for 5 days and very weak afterwards, but I believe my friend saved my life that night by being so proactive. As my husband and I had no experience of American hospitals, I was shocked by the lazy triage nurse's delay in having me seen, but I was in no position to do anything. She was a terribly obese lady who just sat reading magazines!!
Is there a web page that exclusively addresses interactions with coumadin and other meds? I have a factor XII deficiency and will be on coumadin the rest of my life and Tues my INR was 7.1 - drawn Tues evening. Yesterday I was instructed to go to an ER and it was down to a whopping 5.9. The ER discharged me and I'm off to have another PT drawn this a.m. So, you see this information is urgent for me. I'm on string of meds and I HAVE to figure out what happened ASAP....
5 mg of Coumadin per day to maintain an INR of between 2.5 and 3.5. I had to be hospitalized twice in the first 6 months post surgery. Once for a Basal Ganglion Infarction, from which I recovered completely and once simply to be placed on Heparin due to a low INR. I have been ok since then. I would like to get rid of this valve. Are there any other options availible to me? Have there been any advances in cloned valves? As a young, active person I am not sure an animal valve is the answer.

Alcohol use is discouraged because of the potential interaction between alcohol and coumadin in patients with liver disease and due to the increased risks of bleeding if one was to fall after having a bit too much. An occasional glass of wine would probably be ok with your doctor. Q: Just how problematic and restrictive is the use of coumadin, I'm hearing and reading that this is a nasty drug to be on.
This forum has provided a post of drug interactions and the problem with coumadin is that it reacts with hundreds of drugs and some of them increase its effects and some decrease it effects. It is worth looking at the older posts to get that information and understand it. You job as patient is to monitor your INR or protime levels. If they are too low, it could cause a clot. If they are too high you could have bleeding.
Ive got the itching and the wet clear fluid, but mine ends up sticky with a nasty odour..And my left ear has clogged shut..but i am in extreme pain now because i hav swelling around my left jaw..and yes it is really hard o stop the itching.. But unlike u i cant take tablets..
About two days after I received the vaccine I started to suffer something I cannot even accurately describe--my hands would tingle, I would feel like I was dying, I felt like I had the flu and I had a horrible fever. Beside the fact that I was having a bad reaction to the vaccine, I didn't realize that at the same time I was having a bad reaction to caffeine.
My last period was 1/16 and ended 1/21. A few nights ago, I woke up to go to the bathroom and I practically had to hold them as I walked (no bra to bed) cuz they hurt. I went back to bed and they still were sore when I woke up. I am not large (34 a/b) and they did feel less sore as the day went on but were sore again when I woke up the next day. They don't hurt as much now but kinda feel tender right along the underwire bra. It's not just one boob but both? Any ideas? Any suggestions?
I feel the vibration all day long and it has a pattern to it. It is a weired feeling and I can not figure out what causes this and why it will not go away. Can you tell me why I feel this?
The only change is that I was recently bitten by an unknown spider or insect and had to spend the afternoon in the ER because of an extreme reaction. I was given an IV antibiotic and then prescribed Ciprofloxacin and Clindamycin for 10 days. I started getting the smell after I started on the antibiotics. I don't know if this has anything to do with it or not. Just thought I would mention it.
Hi Everyone. This is my first post. I started having problems about 5 years ago. It was occasional problems such as mild sinus pain/pressure and headache with mild eye strain. Each year it has gotten worse. Over the course of the past 5 years I have seen multiple doctors across different specialites: Ears, Nose & Throat, Neurologist, Allergist, and my Intern. I have had MRI's and CT scans. This year has been the worst so far. I have already gotten 2 sinus infections.
