I've been taking vicodin or norco here and there for chronic back pain after a car accident. Right after my car accident I would go through 60 norcos, and 30 soma in a week. Full on abusing and addicted. Stopped cold turkey after a year of that. Not fun. Now I get 20 norcos and will take 1/2 at time every 4-6 hours. Sometimes I find myself taking them even though I'm not in a whole lot of pain. Not sure if that is considered abusing them?
Im traveling in mexico and got pretty sick (my best guess is it was 'Travelers Diarrhea' or maybe food poisioning) I went to the pharmacy and got 500mg Cipro pills. I took one and got a horrible headache and vomitted alot. My symptoms seem to be gone however would it be a bad idea to stop taking the Cipro? I know people say you should always finish a course of antibiotics but in this case I dont know if I need them.
I took 1 dose of 500mg Cipro Friday night at 5:30p.m. Immediately felt flushed and red in the face.
I continue to have flare ups 3 days later. How long does this take to go away.

After about 3 days on Cipro I had a bad sore throat and diarrhea, sore throat went away in 2-3 days and my doctor attributed diarrhea to Cipro. I continued Cipro for 2 weeks and the diarrhea improved after I stopped cipro. After about 15 days of stopping cipro (7 weeks from likely exposure), I started getting skin rash. This skin rash is slightly itchy in small patches over shoulders, trunk, arms and are small patches.

Took Azitromax 1000 mg and later Cipro 1000 mg ( not tested). Also tried Valtrex 7 days with no change in symptoms Daily symptoms up til today, tender and slightly swollen meatus, utethral discomfort/ slight pain. In 2017 had some frequency and pressure for a few weeks and then episode of gross hematuria. Put on Cipro. Symptoms cleared right up. Culture was not done. Saw urologist. Cysto and CT w/o contrast done. Negative. Over the 2.5 years had irritative symptoms on and off with microscopic blood. Cultures negative. Urologist said IC. 5 months ago had a couple days of slight burning then episode of gross hematuria. Put on Cipro but culture came back negative.
My husband has cheated in the past, but he is not going to admit it if he has recently. If it were an STD, would there be other symptoms? Would the cipro get rid of it? Would the urine culture show an STD? Should i go back to the doctor and get tested for STD's? I am about to rip my hair out! please help!
I have been on doxycycline and Cipro, The first med helped a bit but did not clear up the symptoms. I was switched to the Cipro and initially got worse and increased the dose then got better but not completely.

I had an STD screen three days into my Cipro cycle and it came back negative. I completed the 10 day cycle of Cipro, had a 7 day cycle of Doxocycline due to symptoms persisting, and then had another test done 4 days after the completion of Doxocycline. All tests were negative.
I am currently back on Cipro after seeing a urologist. He was not concerned with STD as I passed two screens already, but I'm not sure of thier accuracy because of the meds I was one.

Hey Grace you answered to my comment last night and I thank you for the quick response. I have one more question here about symptoms. It's been 8 days of these shooting nerve pains without any lesions anywhere (referring to HSV 2 symptoms). I'm feeling them in my lower abdomin, sometimes in legs but I believe when I'm sitting down. I'm hoping that its just an infection of some sort.
Also, I am being treated with Cipro, which I just took a round of that for a UT about 2.5 months ago. Should I be repeating the same antibotic so soon, and will it be as effective if I do.
Do cipro cause vaginal discharge and oder and disconfort in my stomach and back and sluggishness?

I have problems with UTI and kidney infections on a regular basis. I have been on Cipro on and off since 1994. Cipro has allways worked very well for me. I have not experienced side effects from this drug. I have had other antibiotics prescribed to me that did have some negative side effects. In my case Sulfa drugs causes hives.
From 1994 up to 2003, I used to come down with UTI and kidney infections that required hospitalizations with a frequency of about every 3 to 4 months.
Yes Cipro can definately cause rythm issues. I cant remember where I read this but my doctor was going to give it to me until I showed him the info (that he did not have himself). So yes---In fact--since you brought it up--I have a new group called side effects of medications. Feel free to post your side effects there.
is it safe to take 125 mg of cipro each day for 6 months I was prescribed this for a UTI that keeps coming back. Also the pharmacy that filled the prescription gave me 250mg tablets and told me they aren't made in 125mg. and for me to break in half . But the info that comes with the meds says not to break.crush, or chew.
I went to the doctor and was given Cipro. The next several days I was basically bed-ridden with a constant fever that spiked to 102.6 F and was fevered round the clock. Around the 4th day I began to feel better and my temp. gradually was reduced. However, in the late afternoon and every afternoon since, my fever begins to climb again. By around 6:00 p.m. it is generally anywhere from 100.5 - 101.6 F.
