I would say it is a relapse too, it ***** for you, and you have been through alot with the kdis. It is so hard to let them go, and grow, and feel your heart breaking, and bursting with pride at the same time. I know, I have been there. The relapse hopefully won't last to long, but I am having similiar things going on with me, and they just say continue with the meds, and rest alot, and take it easy.
I would still think of mononucleosis or a drug rash with photodermatitis. But then rarer causes almost go with immunodeficiency (May not apply to you) which include bartonellosis(Cat) and acute HIV presenting with rash and lymphadenopathy (Rarely diagnosed). These I am including only for completion sake.Allodynia is diagnosed more by exclusion of other conditions in 'pain without rash' senario on the skin.

She explained that the ph levels combined with sperm and bacteria build up can cause this. She prescribed cipro and phenazopyrid for the bladder infection and metronidazol gel for the bv. She also prescribed the metro.... tablets. She instructed me to take one tablet per month just before my cycle to kill any bacterial build up. Apparently some woman go through this more than others. I hope this helps. Feel free to email me directly at ***@****. I don't sharing my experience with you.
Hi everyone. I may be the only weirdo that pays attention to this stuff. Anyway, I'm NEVER sick; I might get a cold every 2-3 yrs. Well, now I'm starting to get a cold and I'm not for sure how bad it's going to get. I always go to drugs. com to check out drug interactions. It looks like Baclofen, Amantadine, & Ampyra have moderate interactions with a lot of cold medicines (reduced respiration, and weird neuro symptoms, etc). Does anyone ever pay attention to any of these things?
Though I had feared prostatitis I had none of the symptoms eg pain, frequent urination, fever, weak flow etc etc etc However on my own accord I did start myself on courses of cipro for 3-4weeks and noticed no real change so after about the 2nd course I just gave up. Then about 4months ago the color really started to get weird dark yellow and then brownish and the discharge was clumpy with speckles.
After my second dose, it radiated to my lt buttock, third dose to the back of my rt thigh, 4th dose to my lt thigh, then down to the soles of both my feet where it felt as if I was walking on pins and needles. I went to my PCP and was changed to cipro. The skin hypersensitivity ceased. Since then, after a stressful event, the skin hypersensitivity will return to a localized area for the day. I will usually take ibuprofen and sleep it off, it will be gone the next day.
Hello. My fiance has been suffering with eustation tube dysfunction for a little over 6mths. now. We have tried numerous decongestants and nasal sprays as well as a round of steroids. His ENT did allergy testing on him, however, he did not have any significant allergies. Our last resort was to have PE tubes placed. This only made his symptoms worse and they took them out after a couple of weeks. Suprisingly after they took the tubes out and his ears were healing, he was symptom free.

I've posted already but please can someone give me some more insight or probable causes of my problems? 8th Feb 2010- I had protected intercourse and oral with girl of unknown status. It lasted about over 1hr. *condom broke during oral, when she was jerking me off, it was quickly replaced* 9th Feb 2010- I masturbated and noticed a red spot on my glans below the ring or my penis, after when i took a shower. it was a bit sensitive but didn't hurt and went away in less than 1 week.
Urine test, blood test, abdominal CT scan, ultrasound have been done, with no pathology discovered so far. Patient started on Cipro and metronidazole yesterday, OTC ibuprofen for pain. We will be very grateful for any help you can give us in diagnosing this condition.
Last April I had gross hematuria with frequent painful diffiulty urinating. I was treated with cipro and pyridium. The doctor called with the results of the culture which revealed no microorganism and if symptoms persist seek medical care. The symptoms came back but not severe and did not last long (1/2 hour to a few hours) Taking ibuprofen and laying down would help. When the symptoms became more frequent and intense I went to see my doctor in Nov 07.
The spasm cough causes it all and when it goes away (usually 4 to 5 days) things are relatively normal although a normal cough stays with me for weeks after. I notice if I catch it early (which means I carry antibiotics with me all the time) it is not as nearly as bad. Doctors have diagnosed this as Asthma, chronic bronchitis, bronchial asthma etc etc. All different specialists seem to have a different prognosis and the recommended pills over the years have not really done any good.
They are at two different locations. I have chronic epididymitis which I contacted 40 years ago and treat that with cipro when it flares up once every 8-12 months. I am monogomous and have been for 30 years as is my spouse. I have never had this condition before. I suspect it is urethritis, with the infection coming up from the epididymis and that I should treat it with the cipro. There is no restriction to passing urine.
Began Bactrim and Cipro yesterday, along with Ibuprofen. I am working out of the country, so tracking down a Urologist or even a general practice doctor that speaks good enough English for me to understand, and for them to understand me, is a challenge. So, am I on a good track? Prostatitis? Bladder/Kideney infection? Thanks for the help.
ive had this infection for 3 years now. it is recurrent. i have been on, cipro 500 for 10 days, cipro 500 for 1 month, Bactirum DS for 10 days, clindamycin solu. 5% alcorten gel (anti fungal, antibactieral) i also wash my hair with chlorhexidine gluconnate (hibaclens). i have seen a total of 4 doctors. and have an appointment for another which ill make 5 doctors total. all i need is something to get my by with the pain. i plan on the dermatologist taking care of the actual infection.
I forgot to mentiuon that after the 1st course of Doxycyclin I did a urine analysis which only gave a slightly elevated WBC count and the VDRL and HIV1/2 came back negative and I didn't have any unprotected sex with my GF after that.
Otherwise, why would Ibuprofen help with chills where there is no fever?? You can try it, too, but I take Ibuprofen cautiously because it can be hard on the stomach. Heed the warning on the label!
I took Cipro for 7 days along with Ibuprofen 600 and I'm still having pressure at the end of urinating. The pain is controllable with the Ibuprofen. This abdominal pain was the reason I had the surgery. Is this pain normal at this time in recovery or should I be concerned that it may be something else? If it is normal, how long is the typical recovery?
They diagnosed me as having a bladder and testicle infection.I was given a prescription for Cipro and sent home.I have taken the cipro for four days and it has not helped at all.I think I am allergic to cipro because I have wicked abdominal cramps and some dizziness. The pain in the testicles is no better than it was 4 days ago.Cipro has not helped me at all.I called the doctors office and got his answering service.I asked to speak to the on call doctor. The on call doctor was my doctor!

The doctor said this is the case with epididymitis sometimes and gave me cipro 500mg bid for 10 days. I took the cipro for one day and had a bad rxn (insomnia, anxiety, general over-stimulated feeling). Familiy doctor switched to Bactrim Ds bid X 10 days which I took. At around day 8 I was feeling better and had minimal pain and I was pain free for about 5 days after before it started creeping back.

I'm a 34 year old gay male. About 2 weeks ago, I had anal sex (received) with a new partner who is larger than I've had in the past. Initially after the sex, there was mild discomfort on defecation (stretching of the sphincter). The discomfort remains. Also about 3-4 days ago, my prostate feels sore and I'm hyperesthetic at my genitals and buttocks.
I had cardiac bypass surgery in Oct '08 and am also diabetic. I can't even chew soft things. I am currently on anitbiotis (cipro) for a bladder infection but that has been a week now. I just don't understand why they hurt so bad and if I should be concerned. I cannot take ibuprofen as I am on coumadin. I have take acetemeniphen but hasn't helped much yet.
Suspects urethritis/prostatitis d 42 - IGG 1@ 2 repeat, awaiting results. d 45 - Urologist again, Ibuprofen and Cipro 250 mg bid for 14 days, increased water intake - on day 2 of treatment now. I continue to have redness on tip of penis around urethra, painful and tender testicles and slight burn on urination. No discharge or perhaps clear discharge ( residual urine?) Female got tested, negative for Clamydia,Gono,HSV 1@2, Syphilis, HIV?? What do you suspect as differential diagnosis?
For anyone reading this in a similar position, I followed up with my urologist over the phone, who advised that a recurrence of swelling and pain after d/c'ing antibiotics is typical with epididymitis and a NSAID like ibuprofen should be all that's needed. After a week, if the pain has not subsided, he advised an in-person consultation.
Hello, Antibiotics is the treatment option for bacterial orhcitis. You can provide support to the scrotum by wearing an athletic supporter, apply ice to the scrotum, take warm baths if there are signs of inflammation, while lying down, place a rolled towel under your scrotum or try over-the-counter pain relievers, like acetaminophen or ibuprofen. To check whether the infection has cleared or not, you can get an ultrasound scan or a nuclear scan done.
