For the past 2 weeks, i have had burning when i urinate, and the frequent urge to go often and it feeling like nothing comes out. It feels just like a uti, which i get often. First i took septra, my mom had some extra ones and i was desperate. After 4 days it still wasn't getting better so i went to the doctor. Since i had antibiotics in my system, the urine test came back negative for a uti.

I have problems with UTI and kidney infections on a regular basis. I have been on Cipro on and off since 1994. Cipro has allways worked very well for me. I have not experienced side effects from this drug. I have had other antibiotics prescribed to me that did have some negative side effects. In my case Sulfa drugs causes hives.
From 1994 up to 2003, I used to come down with UTI and kidney infections that required hospitalizations with a frequency of about every 3 to 4 months.

The only thin gwas my lip will get irritated sting, then chap up and dry out on the lower lip but no sores/blisters gone in like 2 days . Now i have had feelings of a UTI, but taking Cipro in Three day doses and it was gone. I dont know what to think. Because i know the Acid in the urine, if it runs on a sore will cause it to burn, but if a typical out break last up to a week or two and the cipro clears the uti or feeling in three days is there any linkage??? or just a typical uti?
Major pain. Went to urgent care diagnosed with a UTI. Dr gave Cipro, diflucan and AZO. After 3 days they called to say my culture results showed Cipro wasn't the correct meds. Micro bid was the new med. I've had lower abdomen pain since off and on. Is it not working? Do I have a major case of yeast? I took another diflucan thinking it could be yeast pain. Weird pain.....
2 weeks ago I have UTI infection I take NITROFURANTOIN 50mg Capsules for 7 days I take for 6 days but nothing change I have so much pain and fever 39.5, I go to my GP he called ambulance in the ambulance they took blood test blood sugar, I cried because of pain I thought I will die at the moment, in the A&E they took 5 blood test, and gynae check my vagina If have pain in my vagina I don't have pain in my vagina, my pain in my lower abdo.
I hope that no bacterial infection will return now that i have stopped cipro after 40 days. to me, it seems like 40 days of cipro should have killed all bad bacteria by now. is it safe to say that this bad bacteria will not return? given that I do not have any sexual activity of any sort... which I won't be.
I developed a rash on my arms for 2 days in May(6 weeks after) and it went away in 2 days. Also had a UTI(blood in the urine) in late June (11 weeks after) and my doctor prescribed CIPRO and it was cleared in a week. Other than these, I did not have any fever,sore throat, penile sore and penile discharge but always feel lightheaded, fatigue, and weakness in the arms and legs.
I have not done any testing so far.
December 16, 2016, diagnosed with UTI was placed on the antibiotic Bactrim, symptoms did not go away went to the walk in clinic they repeated the urine and it showed UTI. Placed me on Cipro symptoms were not any better,culture from walk in showed contamination so they wanted to repeat the specimen. Went to the clinic and gave a repeat specimen, it showed Entercoccus was placed on Augmentin. From research I have found that the only thing that works on Entercoccus bacteria is vancomycin.
(I was given a course of cipro without my Naturopathic Doc doing a urinalysis because I was going out of town the day after my symptoms began). I took the cipro (it was a short dose- 3 days, taken 2 times per day), and started to feel better. Then about a week later symptoms came back, tried to treat it naturally and then decided to try the cipro again. After this something still didn't feel right and I suggested a kidney infection as I had started having some back pain.
I am 29 and I took cipro about 8 months ago for a kidney infection and after I took it for a few days I developed pain, tingling and crawly feelings on my back. I didn't realize that it could be from the cipro. I finished the prescription and went on to develop severe back pain between my shoulder blades and tingling skin in my arms and legs. I felt like my arms and legs had sunburn and it was hard to wear clothes sometimes. I went to a neurologist and a rhumey.
Coli and entercoccus. I was put on Macrobid for 5 days didn’t help at all, was then switched to Cipro for 5 days. After 24hrs on Cipro all my symptoms went away. One week later my symptoms of a UTI retuned. Back to the doctors I went culture this time showed bacteria count less then 10,000. My doctor felt the infection was gone but I could be having bladder spasms. He give me spasm medication and referred me to a urologist. Fast forward another week still having UTI symptoms.
