I'm a male and recently had unprotected oral sex and a few days later began feel uncomfortable and have had the urge to urinate a lot. The urination itself doesn't hurt, but afterwards there can be a slight stinging sensation. Reading up on symptoms I can either have a UTI or gonorrhea.

I have problems with UTI and kidney infections on a regular basis. I have been on Cipro on and off since 1994. Cipro has allways worked very well for me. I have not experienced side effects from this drug. I have had other antibiotics prescribed to me that did have some negative side effects. In my case Sulfa drugs causes hives.
From 1994 up to 2003, I used to come down with UTI and kidney infections that required hospitalizations with a frequency of about every 3 to 4 months.
Doctor did a urine culture and prescribed me Cipro and was cleared in a week. The UTI was caused by a common bacteria(not by STDs). NO other symptoms but daily dizziness annd fatigue for a few months. I know HIV is not an issue since it is no risk per the Drs. My question is if there is any other STDs that can cause dizzniess, fatigue, weak legs since I did not have any tests back then or it is just my anxiety. Thank you.
The first time I had it, it lasted approx 2-3 weeks (buring, uncomfortable feeling at the head of my penis / NO discharge or anything). I went to the ER and the doctor did a penile swab for gon/cla and a urine test for a UTI. Both tests came back negative. He also stuck his finger in my rear to see if my prostate was enlarged, which he said it wasn't. One week later I was still having this problem so I went to the STD clinic to get tested.
I am a 52 year old man. I had a UTI in May on cipro for 2 weeks. It got better but since it ended I've had a slight burning in my urethra. I went and had a urinalysis on June 20th, tested for STDs too all negative.
Doctor thinks its anxiety. I'm doing pelvic floor exercises, yoga, and mediation. It helps but I still have the feeling of burning.
Not when I urinate, no pain. Urine is normal. I do mountain bike 2-3x per week about 10 miles, not easy trails lots of climbing.
December 16, 2016, diagnosed with UTI was placed on the antibiotic Bactrim, symptoms did not go away went to the walk in clinic they repeated the urine and it showed UTI. Placed me on Cipro symptoms were not any better,culture from walk in showed contamination so they wanted to repeat the specimen. Went to the clinic and gave a repeat specimen, it showed Entercoccus was placed on Augmentin. From research I have found that the only thing that works on Entercoccus bacteria is vancomycin.
Do cipro cause vaginal discharge and oder and disconfort in my stomach and back and sluggishness?

Since i had antibiotics in my system, the urine test came back negative for a uti. So the doctor gave me cipro to take for 7 days and told me she was going to send my urine off for culture. Well i have been on the cipro now for 3 days and it still hurts everytime i urinate. I'm really confused because i don't understand what else this could be. I have thought about STD's, but i am married and am monogamous on my part.

hi, i have been experiencing frequent urination and got tested for uti. they said they didnt find any bacteria so does that mean i do not have to get tested for chlamydia and gonorrhea? i do not have discharge and i took all the antibiotics from cipro, oflox, and azythro. currently im taking oxybutynine hci for overactive bladder since i had a ultra sound and they found nothing. btw im 20 yrs old healthy male but all these symptoms appeared after my sexual encounter.. it should be a std right?
After my period, I kept having the urge to pee even when I went and my uti strip said I had blood in my urine..so my doctor put me on cipro for five days. It seems I'm probably allergic to it and I don't want to take anything else. Would a zpak work for me? I've taken three Benadryls today just to rid of the horrible symptoms. I'm only 18 and pretty fed up with medicines.
This is long. I will start with what has been going on for a few years now. I am a male, 49 years old and don't drink, smoke or use drugs. I started having back and abdominal pain and bloated feeling a few years ago that were off and on. During these times I hade urinary problems at the same time. I went to my doctor and he would say it was a uti and give me Bactrim. I would start feeling better after a couple of days and that was the end of it.
I thought I had something else and my doctor found that I had a UTI he perscribed Cipro 500mg twice a day for a week. I seem to be going through some bad reactions. I even thought I had HIV. Skin burrning , itching skin, abnormal amount of acne all over the body. I have recently developed photosensitivity. I was out side next day my face developed a rash. Again I thought i had something else never thought of the cipro.
on friday, it did not go away so i went to a clinic and had a UA done. they said i had a UTI and gave me 1000mg of zithormax for one dose. on saturday night, the pain was still there while urinating, so i went to the ER. they tested me for gon and chlamydia (cotton swab). they gave me a shot in the arm, and also 500mg of Cipro to take 2x a day for 10 days. they also gave me pyrridium for the pain.

I'm a 27 year old male that I'd like to consider in pretty good health. I have a history of prostatitis back in April of 2016 which I took care of with a month worth of Cipro 500mgx2 a day. Early this June,I started having discomfort and an urge to urinate after sexual intercourse with female unprotected (I'm uncircumcised if worth noting) starting the day after and suddenly went away.
