Do cipro cause vaginal discharge and oder and disconfort in my stomach and back and sluggishness? This discussion is related to Discomfort after taking Cipro.

I took 1 dose of 500mg Cipro Friday night at 5:30p.m. Immediately felt flushed and red in the face. I continue to have flare ups 3 days later. How long does this take to go away.

I took Cipro twice in 2009, I had rash, itchy and after that I had thighs,legs and buttocks pain with nerve pain. Is that possible from Cipro ? I'm still getting the nerve and legs pain. I had xray,hiv, herpes, stds and nerve test all came back normal. Any help!!!!

This time I noticed again after 30 minutes the sensation were strong and the itch burning. I have stopped taking cipro for 2 days now and the skin has stopped itching but is still blotchy and flaking (not quite peeling). I've never had anything like this before and I can surely attribute it to the drug. I don't think I've ever had a reaction to it before but I do recall taking it once before, for a urinary tract infection.

My husband has been diagnosed with diverticulitis and is being treated with Flagyl and Cipro. He now has a fever and terrible stomach pain and a hives like rash on his face and a slight fever. He has had three doses and I am wondering what to do.

As crazy as it may sound, the toughest part ia tolerating an antibiotic they gave me to ward off infection. The brand name is cipro and when I take it I ache terribly all over and get a killer headache. All this despite being on strong (narcotic) pain killers. Surgery was no walk through the park but this proves to me just how awful it can be to live with and treat Lyme & co. Hope all are having a restful weekend!

I've broken out in a terrible rash from being out in the sun while taking the antibiotic Cipro. My pharmasist might have warned me, maybe I wasnt paying attention. It's been three weeks since I've been off Cipro but the rash is still with me. I work in the food service industry and I deal with the public. Hi there 4 weeks ago I took Cipro and got hives right away. I was told to continue my dosage of Cipro adn to take Benadryl. After I was done with the Cipro, I still had hives. My hives would be very itchy, swollen adn would come on one part of my body, then after a couple of minutes dissapear and appear on another part. I was given Preginsone for 5 days and continued with the Benadryl. This did nothing. Then I was given Reactin which helped reduce the amount of hives and the itch.

I came back and started developing this rash and a pain that almsot seemed internal where the rash is, I went to my doctor who said it was fungal and prescirbed ketzancole and applied it for two weeks with no results. He then prescirbed cortisone for two weeks and again no results. I was tested for std's 10 days after I got back. I came back april 16 and was tested on april 25. All tests came back negative.

t seam to respond to any creams. The rash looks red and blotchy with small red pin heads. And I also developed another soar throat this last week which is now gone. Do you think I might be infected with HIV, was the test at 5 weeks reliable?

Also had a UTI(blood in the urine) in late June (11 weeks after) and my doctor prescribed CIPRO and it was cleared in a week. after two weeks finishing the cipro urethra seems lubricated and clinic take another swab and they say there is very little puss cells but give me 5 days metronidazole and 7 days doxy. After starting the doxy I have gotten a rash (if I could call it that, looks blotchy skin and not raised like if you are cold) no fever, a little bit tender tonsils. Was diagnosed with acute prostatitis. Took cipro for 3 weeks. Just before cipro ended I ejaculated and it burned. Symptoms have subsided with heavy hydration, but the occassional irritation is still there and so is my swollen prostate? am new to the site. I would like to post a few items and some follow up to our struggle. My wife contacted a rash November 2013 right around the time she had a bladder infection and taking Cipro. We assumed it was Cipro but rash remained. Dr assumed Scabies and again that's a negative. We did 3 skin biopsies and all negative for IGG, IGA, IGM, C3, C5B-9 and fibrogen. major symptoms disappear -a month passes and lingering prostatisis pain symptoms -go on a 5 week cipro regiment but the lingering symptoms persist and during this cipro regiment (or near this time) I had the second larger rash I PCR tested from home. I was able to make it through a Doctor visit and taken OFF Cipro (which was free at Publix) and put on a stronger Keflex type drug that was $226.26 with a $25.00 coupon. This one has very few side effects and I've always been okay with Keflex. Thanks for the help!

i saw the dr and he told me it was probably another prostate infection, possibly some urethritis, and a yeast infection! ARRGG!! he gave me more cipro and some diflucan. i took them both (1 diflucan) and took cipro for 10 days. symptoms in testicles and prostate felt better, but urethra was still hurting and uncomfortable mostly at night. my penis skin peeled like crazy, and the bumps got mostly better.
