cipro

Do cipro cause vaginal discharge and oder and disconfort in my stomach and back and sluggishness? This discussion is related to Discomfort after taking Cipro.
I took 1 dose of 500mg Cipro Friday night at 5:30p.m. Immediately felt flushed and red in the face. I continue to have flare ups 3 days later. How long does this take to go away.
It's been three weeks since I've been off Cipro but the rash is still with me. I work in the food service industry and I deal with the public. I dont want to freak anybody out, and long sleves are out of the question. I've been using Vaseline intensive care for a week but it only helps with the flakiness. Help please??
My husband has been diagnosed with diverticulitis and is being treated with Flagyl and Cipro. He now has a fever and terrible stomach pain and a hives like rash on his face and a slight fever. He has had three doses and I am wondering what to do.
Is it possible for an adverse reaction rash to be localized and as minor as a single bump and a little darkened skin? Obviously, I'm going to stop taking it until I can get in and see another doctor, but wanted to see what you all thought?
Has anybody been on Cipro for like a sinus infection and noticed that they feel worse as far as the liver goes? I just finished up a 1 week dose of this stuff and taking the last one today made me feel lousy. It had been making me feel bad since the the 2nd day, but this last day, has been the worst day on it. Liver pain, abdominal pain in my left side, too and feeling slightly nauseated and just all the around more flu-like.
Every time I take Cipro or Levaquin I get a very itchy rash about the size of a silver dollar on the back of my left hand. After I stop taking the medecine the rash spot will turn black and will not clear until after about a year. I am a fairly health 74 year old man. By the way I also react to Sulfa drugs but the rash is more generalized and not as bothersome. Is there any significance that with Cipro the rash always appears on the same location?
I was prescribed Cipro for a UTI on wednesday. I started taking it and noticed little bumps on my vagina. I had all my STD screenings done over 8 months ago, and have been with the same partner since then. Could this just be a slight skin irritation to the Cipro or is it something I should be more concerned about? Thanks in advance.
The problem is she is also allergic to it (she has horrible back pain and breaks out in a rash), does anyone know anything to help with the allergy or another drug that may have the same result as Cipro? Any help regarding the drug issue or has any words of wisdow about CF please let me know, by the way she is 34 yrs. old.
I used antifungal powders, etc. Rash went away but constant sweating and burning continues on my groin and penis. I was prescribed an antifungal cream by my doctor and applied for two weeks with no change? What can I do ? I have been loading up on baby powder twice a day..
I saw a Fungal specialist and he looked at me and did a cursory examination and didn't feel it was a fungus problem and didn't do any testing. No symptoms according to him. He blamed it on the swab culture and said it was a poor way to diagnose fungal infections especially on someone who had as much penicillin as me.
She was on Keflex for 10 days, Duricef for 10 days and Cipro for 10 days. We have been using Bactroban ointment continuously until this week when we started using Altabax ointment. Still, no improvement. When one spot is almost gone, she will wake up with a new spot. It has been a never ending cycle. She had a negative strep culture. That is the only test they have done. It does not itch or burn.
A couple of weeks later I stupidly met with another TS escort and performed protected oral and received protected anal intercourse. And for a matter of less than 30 seconds performed unprotected oral at the end. One day later I got swollen glands in my throat. They weren't hard, but were very tender. The sore throat wasn't terrible, but it was bad. It didn't hurt when I wasn't using my throat, mostly when I swallowed. It was a sharp pain and a feeling as if something were in my throat.
I came back and started developing this rash and a pain that almsot seemed internal where the rash is, I went to my doctor who said it was fungal and prescirbed ketzancole and applied it for two weeks with no results. He then prescirbed cortisone for two weeks and again no results. I was tested for std's 10 days after I got back. I came back april 16 and was tested on april 25. All tests came back negative.
Yesterday my urine culture came back with a small amount of Klebsiella and doctor ordered Cipro. I'm allergic to Sulfa drugs. Less than one hour later I had an itch spot (small hive) on either side of my face/ jawline. Yes, I was touching my face. I used the powder and went to bed. Should I be concerned that this might have been hives from the Cipro? If so, are minor hives from Cipro serious?
well a week later the left arm clears up and I get another rash only worse on my right arm and this took me through july to clear up and shortly after it did I found my labia burning and itching with the same rash and I was using desitin again which helped but it was so bad down there I had to get help from my sister as she has been through these things before and I have not.. so we go to walmart and buy some equate brand of monostat and a couple things along those lines..
If you are taking medications, your skin might to more sun sensitive and this may be the reason for the rash. But, I can't say for sure. I would see your physician and see what he/she says.
My wife contacted a rash November 2013 right around the time she had a bladder infection and taking Cipro. We assumed it was Cipro but rash remained. Dr assumed Scabies and again that's a negative. We did 3 skin biopsies and all negative for IGG, IGA, IGM, C3, C5B-9 and fibrogen. Next visit was to do a patch test on back and two items came positive: bacitracin and Nickel. Between November 2013 and the Patch test (April 2014) she had very severe rash on chest, arms, back and buttocks area.
the skin was irritated, it burned and itched. the rash was centralized mainly in the scrotum. i went to the doc and she mentioned it was yeast. prescribed clitromazole with betamethasone. rash got worse, it actually burned when the cream was applied. stoped using it 3-4 days after. now whole penis and scrotum is red. have been applying hydrocortiszone only 2x days. last night i noticed white skin at the very back of the scrotum.
This time I noticed again after 30 minutes the sensation were strong and the itch burning. I have stopped taking cipro for 2 days now and the skin has stopped itching but is still blotchy and flaking (not quite peeling). I've never had anything like this before and I can surely attribute it to the drug. I don't think I've ever had a reaction to it before but I do recall taking it once before, for a urinary tract infection. Is there a test I can take to find out if I am allergic to this?
I havent changed my eating habits or my detergent or anything and I've never been allergic to anything but the Cipro. The doctors cant figure it out and my allergy test is scheduled in 6 months. Please help! I'm getting very depressed over this, I'm only 22 and I cant leave the house, I even have to work from home. This is ruining my life.
But then it started to burn not red but felt sore, alot of pimple like bumps only on the cheeks, I have been on alot of antibiotic treatments for sinus infection, new drugs and old cipro type drugs. I am wondering if this has anything to do with this rash? i have psoriasis, but i know its not that. It appears that if irritated some of the bumps break into a rash effect. Very strange but extremley bothersome. PLEASE HELP!! i hate these blemishes on my face.
I have stopped taking the Cipro and will try to move on to a different treatment. Does anyone have any advice on how to handle this if it happens again? Can an antihistamine help to counter such reactions? Does anyone know how long these reactions might persist after the medication is stopped?
However, the rash is still there and the tip of my penis remains sore and overly sensitive. The rash is generally quite faint, except when I shower, sweat, masturbate, after a night of drinking or right after I pee -- then it becomes bright red. The only time I've seen it improve is when I went swimming in the ocean -- the cold salt water seemed to shrink it. Also, I still get a pulsing sensation in my butt as well.

I stopped the Cipro 7 days into it because this rash developed. I have also felt very fatiqued and the joints in my hands have ached. I don't know if this is interrelated, but I need to know what you think this rash might be. It only lasts for 20 to 30 minutes but it's very embarrassing and uncomfortable.
I also read that it can be brought on by stress (which I am experiencing) and also antibiotics, which the doctor prescribed for chlamydia, syphilis and gonorrhea (cipro and zithromax). But finished these nearly 5 weeks ago. Would it take that long for the thrush to be apparent if it was caused by the antibiotics? 3. Also, is thrush a symptom of HSV 1 or HSV 2? 4. Oral thrush + Jock Itch = could I have a yeast problem?
We have changed laundry providers, but, I don't think that is the problem, as the rash occurs on my arms (and legs) and I never wear anything on my arms. The rash is never on my face, neck, back or chest. Only my arms & legs. I have had allergies (sneezing type) to environmental stuff like pollen and grass and dust, but I honestly can not ever remember any kind of rash, anywhere.
