1442701 tn?1286383987 I thought that maybe I had pulled a muscle in my back even though I didn't even throw the ball that many to times since my lower left side of my back had been hurting. Felt like labor pains Monday night it hurt so bad. On Cipro now. I just wondered if anyone else has unexpected kidney infections too.
Avatar m tn Regarding the urinary tract infection It sounds like the organism causing the problem is getting resistant to the drug Cipro and you may need a new prescription. Also, Cipro may be causing you to throw up. it is possible you have a kidney infection still and it is causing pain that is radiating to the front.

Avatar f tn I felt very sluggish and miserable. Then my temperature started elevating and I took Cipro. Everything would improve, but time I quit taking cipro, my temperature would elevate to around 101º. When I went to my urologist, he found a stone lodged in my ureter blocking flow into my bladder. I had lithotripsy the next morning which remedied the problem. Good luck.
Avatar f tn I had one day of left of the Cipro and I started urinating every 5 mins for about 2 hours. I went to sleep and was fine. I got up the next morning and started urinating again every 5 mins (ALOT of urine) Not sure if that was me nerves bc I do have a history of health anxiety. Anyway, I made an appt with the Urologist and he said it sounded like a kidney stone in my ureter.
Avatar m tn Hello and hope you are doing well. Please do not discontinue antibiotics as the organisms causing the infection may develop resistance to the medication. Her symptoms could also be due to the on going infection. Now, have a culture and sensitivity test done to find out the correct antibiotic that the infecting organism is sensitive to and taking this medication for the required amount of days may help to clear urinary tract infection Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
Avatar m tn I am 29 and I took cipro about 8 months ago for a kidney infection and after I took it for a few days I developed pain, tingling and crawly feelings on my back. I didn't realize that it could be from the cipro. I finished the prescription and went on to develop severe back pain between my shoulder blades and tingling skin in my arms and legs. I felt like my arms and legs had sunburn and it was hard to wear clothes sometimes. I went to a neurologist and a rhumey.
Avatar n tn I have been struggling to get over what I thought was a UTI for the past month. (I was given a course of cipro without my Naturopathic Doc doing a urinalysis because I was going out of town the day after my symptoms began). I took the cipro (it was a short dose- 3 days, taken 2 times per day), and started to feel better. Then about a week later symptoms came back, tried to treat it naturally and then decided to try the cipro again.
250398 tn?1225263291 ll be a couple of months before I am back to a place I can see a doctor that I would feel comfortable understands me. Lucky I guess that I have the Bactrim and Cipro with me. Discharge seems to be much less and more cloudy to clear than white now, after 1.5 days on the two Antibiotics. But, still sore in the lower abdomen. Maybe a bladder infection. Thanks again.
Avatar f tn t even know if the old one was normal or not, no md ever said I had a kidney issue, I just finished 12 weeks of treatment and am undetected but now I am freaked out by these kidney numera I wrote my md but have not heard back yet Doesn't anyone know or understnad this, I am having trouble understanding what I read from google searches Thanks CH
Avatar f tn Yes, just started tx on 4/13 and started having symptoms last weekend had urinalysis yesterday and got a call to start on Septra today as they detected UI infection so Dr. ordered the culture today. Initially I was told to take Cipro thru out the course of tx. I had a reaction to the Cipro and went off it then started Septra. I'm guessng white blood cells being low from tx makes us more vulnerable to infections. Thanks for the your posting today,it helps me see what to watch out for.
Avatar n tn I was hospitalized a year ago with kidney stones, kidney infection, urinary tract infection, and an infected gallbladder that had to be extracted. I cannot seem to get rid of the urinary tract infections as I have had treatment 7 times now within one year. I drink the pure cranberry juice as I have heard it helps fight off and prevent UTI's. Nothing seems to work.
Avatar n tn The association between Cipro and eye damage has not been established definitively as yet. However, you should report your case to Dr. Frederick Fraunfelder at the Eye Drug Registry. The registry's email is ***@****. The registry is accumulating data on the association between vitreous damage and Cipro.
Avatar n tn My biggest concern is where to go from here and now my kidneys are really sore with lower back pain, I am worried about damage to them?
Avatar f tn They then said i had a yeast infection from medication. and put me on Cipro, and still had pain.. so then they put me on for a irriated urtheia (sorry my spelling isn't to great) I was on this for 2x a day for 30 days. Again i started to feel better, then a week later.. I had the burning/soreness back and the urologist put me on Cipro again. This has been going on for 8months and now the dr just throws cipro at me.
443434 tn?1255891233 I have been to my eye doctors 7 times, and yes, they agree that Cipro can cause floaters and eye problems. It is one of the side effects.
422425 tn?1307992990 I have large amounts of blood and protein in my urine and my kidney functions are decreased and have been for about 4 years already. I am scheduled with a kidney dr in a few weeks. Because it has been a year I am getting a little concerned. My DR doesn't have a lot of answers for me. I have had Lupus for 6 years now, so I was thinking maybe it is somehow related. Any information would be very helpful, and it would calm my nerves.
Avatar n tn Burning pain and bleeding during urination is due to infection, if not treated appropriately can lead to damage to the kidney. I would suggest that you get a urine analysis with culture done, and take the course of antibiotics depending upon the report. The other causes for bleeding in urine could be renal stones, glomerulonephritis, urethral rupture etc. But I, think it is more of infectious component playing the role in your case. Consult a urologist for further assistance. Best.

Avatar n tn I was recently within the last month diagnosed with a kidney stone that lead to a UTI. I finished a 7 day treatment of cipro yesterday and the UTI symptons went away, but my both my sides still hurt randomly from time to time. Should I be concerned?
