Cipralex and nausea

Common Questions and Answers about Cipralex and nausea

ciprodex

328799 tn?1276565732 difficulty sleeping, nausea and vomiting, anxiety, and decreased apetite! This could very well be causeing or at least influencing your symptoms. You should see your doctor about it. It could be the cipralex, or it could be your anxiety and fear, or they could very well be playing off of each other like you say. I know that with me, if I am experiencing a sympom, it will get worse if I worry about it, then the symptom gets worse and I worry more.. a vicious cycle!
Avatar n tn since i posted last week- started having abdominal problems-discomfort/ache and very gassy. I wake up with upset tummy and nausea. its gotten progressively worse- sounds like I have world war 3 happening in tummy. Spoken to my doc- suggested going back to half the 5mg tablet which i did last night- but didnt help the stomach problem one bit. Could these abdominal symptoms be related to cipralex side effects- Has anyone experienced this SE? Please some input would be appreciated!
Avatar f tn It can cause SSRI withdrawal syndrome characterized by nausea, electric shock like feeling, sweating, insomnia, confusion, vertigo, tremor and nightmares. So, if you do not have these symptoms and are only feeling depressed, you are probably suffering from SSRI discontinuation syndrome. You may need to restart Cipralex or any other anti-depressant.
Avatar n tn I am coming off cipralex and I am soooo itchy especially my hands and neck. Has anyone had this withdrawal symptom? If so what can be done about it. Hand cream doesnt help.
Avatar f tn Sudden withdrawal may result in headache, nausea, pins and needles, dizziness and anxiety. When it is time to stop taking this medicine it should be discontinued gradually, following the instructions given by your doctor or pharmacist.
Avatar f tn I was on Cipralex for a year since losing dad and losing my job. had bad anxiety and insomnia.
Avatar n tn I take both those meds and avoid all cold medicines and over the counter medications because they can interact with the cipralex and serequel. I always call my pharmacist and ask which medications could counteract with my anti depressants.
553096 tn?1267348927 I was prescribed 10 mg/day for a period of about 3 years, and suffered no adverse reactions. I recently stopped taking it, and did not notice any unpleasant reactions. Properly administered, the patient should not experience any difficulties; it doesn’t solve the worlds problems, but makes the load we sometimes carry a little lighter.
1267205 tn?1321117128 anxiety is a common denominator for all psych disorders. it's not specific to BP alone. Taking cipralex will do you good for a while but then it will drive you manic eventually. you said cipralex, is it the only drug you take or along with other meds ? because if you take mood stabilizers along with then perhaps it's safe. but i never heard someone with BP is prescribed an antidepressant only. cipralex is rather strong it's an SSRI.
Avatar m tn He told me to consult with the psychristic. I consulted with the psychristic. He advised me to take cipralex for one and half month. After taking the cipralex too i feels the same sympton. For that i once again consulted with the other neurophysician in bangalore. He advised me for doing the MRI Scan. The result of the MRI saying "Mild ectopia of cerebellar tonsils. The tips of the tonsil is 5mm below the formen magnum. No mass effect is seen on the Brain stem.
Avatar f tn My went to visit my doctor about my anxiety and sleeping issues and he has put me on Cipralex 10mg dosage a day and also prescribed me 50mg of trazodone to be taken at bedtime to help me sleep. Does anyone take these prescriptions? if so could I please get some feedback on them?
574118 tn?1305135284 So do you think panic and fear can be an extra side effect of cipralex and i should increase the above doze of xanax.
Avatar m tn I have had head aches on cipralex, and when I drink some or even more then some drinks I get almost sick with a head ache. 1) are head aches common in taking anxiety drugs, 2) any way preventing the head aches. 3) dry mouth is that common with these drugs.
Avatar m tn re feeling lousy, and want to feel better NOW. I know, I remember feeling like that, and remember thinking 4 weeks seemed like a lfetime, but it isn't. Just try to be patient, and stay as busy as you can. Distraction works wonderfully...the less you think about the meds, the side effects and wondering, "is it working yet?", the better. Please keep in touch, let us know how you're doing. Fingers crossed that you get some relief soon!
Avatar n tn I would give it some time. and don't keep checking your heart rate. Cipralex and this class of drugs are long acting and not something that would just drop your heart rate. But as your stress and anxiety decrease, your heart rate in the resting mode may go back to normal. A resting heart rate of 50 is in the normal range. You are on a low dose. Hope it helps your anxiety/panic. I have found that often anxiety takes a bit higher dose to really work well.
Avatar n tn When I stopped, I was fine for six months but my depression suddenly started again. I restarted taking cipralex 10 mg one each night and I improved quickly. Now it is four years that I am taking it. I now want to stop it because I am having very decreased sixual drive. So my question is that, Will my sexual drive improve when I stop taking cipralex?
Avatar f tn I was on cipralex (lexapro in the US) for almost 3 years and initially experienced some dry mouth, but no extreme side effects at all. It worked amazingly for me. I started on 10mg and then doubled to 20mg after 1 year. I recently switched to Paxil about 1 month ago, and have really disliked the way it makes me feel. My anxiety has been much worse and the side effects are just awful. It has been so much worse than cipralex.
Avatar f tn I was on celexa for 8.5 yrs.. Started on 20mgs n my dr raised it to 40mgs after 4 yrs cuz it just didn't seem to be working.. After another 4.5 yrs it stopped working so she put me on cipralex... Been on cipralex for about almost 2 yrs now, and I don't find it worked as well as the celexa when it was working... I'm guessing it works different for everybody.. Do u still suffer panic n depression a lot??
Avatar m tn I am facing burning feet and shin while sitting since last 5 years. My NCS, RA Factor, ANA, ESR are normal. I have taken variety of medicines including Dulan, ronirol, tegral, prothyadine, cipralex, epival cr 500, sensival 25 etc. but my problem is still not resolved. During this problem i started walk which increased the problem. However, during walk i feel very normal i.e. no painful burning sensation, i feel. This is important that when i lay down i donot feel pain.
Avatar f tn This is very frustrating and hard to live with. I also have extreme fatigue, dizziness, nausea, and headaches. Iv had tests done that cane back clear. It's hard to believe that this severe tingling in my head is just anxiety. Help?!??!!
Avatar f tn First of all may I ask why you switched from celexa to cipralex? I know I have asked my Dr about abilify and she will not prescribe it for me, not sure why but she does say there are better drugs out there... I know every Doc is different as is every person. Sorry, I know this does not answer your question..
Avatar f tn It's meant to be a better vision of escitalopram as I'm in the uk they don't do lexapro it's cipralex here I'm on day 5 and no better yet just want things to start working really iv been told up to 2 weeks but can be as soon as 6-8 days the only side effect is the insomnia and not being able to sleep that's why iv been given zopiclone for that but don't want to have to depend on it for a long time, iv been through all this before on many different anti depressants wit
Avatar f tn Being on both Celexa and Cipralex were experiences I will never repeat or suggest to anyone. There are always alternate, healthy and kinder ways to treat the brain and body for anxiety and depression. If you need any more info, send me a message and I'll be happy to help. Wishing you and your daughter the best!
Avatar f tn I started on 5 mg of Cipralex 2 months ago - then up to 10 mg and now I am on 15 mg (it has been 2 weeks). I feel aweful - very dizzy, confused, heavyness over eyes, bad eyesight, sensitive hearing. Actually many of these symptoms I had before starting Cipralex - my doctor thought Cipralex would help. I also have a history of complicated migraine, I have not taken Sibelium since December 2008.
