Avatar m tn Hi I cant answer your question on cipralex as I have never taken it, my nephew as been on it for over 5years and he drops is doseage and goes down again, if you feel well on 10mgs why worry, just get yourself well on 10mgs stay that way for awhile then talk to your doctor about withdrawel, but be well and happy on 10mgs if 5mgs is bringing back the anxiety, I have been stuck on benzoes for over 30years yet one day I do hope to be benzoe free.
Avatar f tn Thanks for the input, I was on prozac last spring, and had an awful reaction, it took a few doses of xanex and ativan to get me out of it, after hours in the ER.. I suffer with anxiety and panic attacks and have for over 20 years. I was on ZOloft for 14 or so years and it pooped out on me the fall of 2013 and ever since looking for the same wonder drug zoloft gave me...
Avatar n tn Hello everyone, and thanks a lot for reading my post. I have been struggling with "my case" for about 3 months now and I'm just getting worse and worse each day. And I'm in a city that doesn't have mental doctors. Here is my little story: I'm the type of person who worries a lot! I over think everything. The thing I over think is that I love someone who I stayed with for 6 years, and I loved her SOOOO badly, and so does she.

3166043 tn?1514260018 I was in such a panic when I was admitted they gave me Ativan to put under my tongue and I passed out for 16 hours. Question is, why an I still on this and is it a medication to take long term? I'm also on Valium which was percriped to me in the hospital and the anti depressant cipralex which I've been on for years. Is this medication nessasarry? I did go to my doctor and ask if I really needed it and he said he's keeping me on it for a year.

Avatar f tn Hi there, I am new to this forum and I think you guys can help me more than my doc seems to be helping. I am in University and I have had anxiety for over 10 years but have never received help for it. Trouble sleeping, breathing, concentrating and I have negative thoughts which my doctor attributes to anxiety. Firstly, I recognize all of my symptoms as anxiety except for negative thoughts.
Avatar f tn Hi.. I am a 26 years old female and have been struggling with 'depression' for almost a year now. In the beginning I went to a psychiatrist who assessed me of having a borderline personality disorder and emotional instability. I took many pills during the treatment such as Dianxit and Cipralex which didn't work on me, then Afeksin, Faverin, Sedoxil and Nodiril. However, I was not getting better.
Avatar f tn I was on Cipralex for a year since losing dad and losing my job. had bad anxiety and insomnia.
Avatar n tn I take both those meds and avoid all cold medicines and over the counter medications because they can interact with the cipralex and serequel. I always call my pharmacist and ask which medications could counteract with my anti depressants.

Avatar f tn My went to visit my doctor about my anxiety and sleeping issues and he has put me on Cipralex 10mg dosage a day and also prescribed me 50mg of trazodone to be taken at bedtime to help me sleep. Does anyone take these prescriptions? if so could I please get some feedback on them?
Avatar m tn I have had head aches on cipralex, and when I drink some or even more then some drinks I get almost sick with a head ache. 1) are head aches common in taking anxiety drugs, 2) any way preventing the head aches. 3) dry mouth is that common with these drugs.
Avatar f tn So, how long have you been off the Yaz, and are you still on the Cipralex (Lexapro)? If so, how long have you been taking the Lexapro, and at what dose?
Avatar n tn I would give it some time. and don't keep checking your heart rate. Cipralex and this class of drugs are long acting and not something that would just drop your heart rate. But as your stress and anxiety decrease, your heart rate in the resting mode may go back to normal. A resting heart rate of 50 is in the normal range. You are on a low dose. Hope it helps your anxiety/panic. I have found that often anxiety takes a bit higher dose to really work well.
301132 tn?1201648450 He is putting me on short term disability and also prescribed Ativan (1mg) when needed and Cipralex (half a tab a day). I have been against taking medication this whole time. I have been having some extreme pain in my lower abdomin (feels like intense menstral cramps). My doctor prescribed me Tylenol 3s to relieve the pain. (regular Tylenol or others like it have never worked for me).
Avatar n tn When I stopped, I was fine for six months but my depression suddenly started again. I restarted taking cipralex 10 mg one each night and I improved quickly. Now it is four years that I am taking it. I now want to stop it because I am having very decreased sixual drive. So my question is that, Will my sexual drive improve when I stop taking cipralex?
Avatar f tn I was on cipralex (lexapro in the US) for almost 3 years and initially experienced some dry mouth, but no extreme side effects at all. It worked amazingly for me. I started on 10mg and then doubled to 20mg after 1 year. I recently switched to Paxil about 1 month ago, and have really disliked the way it makes me feel. My anxiety has been much worse and the side effects are just awful. It has been so much worse than cipralex.
Avatar m tn I am facing burning feet and shin while sitting since last 5 years. My NCS, RA Factor, ANA, ESR are normal. I have taken variety of medicines including Dulan, ronirol, tegral, prothyadine, cipralex, epival cr 500, sensival 25 etc. but my problem is still not resolved. During this problem i started walk which increased the problem. However, during walk i feel very normal i.e. no painful burning sensation, i feel. This is important that when i lay down i donot feel pain.
Avatar f tn I am taking 10mg of Cipralex (Lexapro, stateside) every day. I called the doc as soon as I got a positive pregnancy test and he advised that I stay on. I start my 2nd trimester today. Trimester 1 was very tough so I'm glad I maintained my dose so I didn't have to deal with the pregnancy and coming off the meds. I had low depression points throughout the trimester. It has improved a bit as my hormones seem to be leveling out a bit.
Avatar f tn First of all may I ask why you switched from celexa to cipralex? I know I have asked my Dr about abilify and she will not prescribe it for me, not sure why but she does say there are better drugs out there... I know every Doc is different as is every person. Sorry, I know this does not answer your question..
