Vaping is WAY worse for you and the baby than cigarettes are. I'm currently trying to quit; have been a pack and a half a day smoker for years and after a week I'm down to 5 or less a day. If it's just too ******* hard and you have to have a cigarette once in awhile. Do it. It's better than putting other chemicals into your body that your system isn't used to. Vapor isn't just "water" and the "nicotine" is a chemical compound designed to mimic it.
I still continued to smoke for a couple of days, but only a couple of puffs from my husbands cigarette 2-3 times a day, then I looked online about the effects off smoking whilst pregnant and quit straight away! There are times when I would like a cigarette but I care for my unborn baby a million times more than a dirty fag! Honestly the best thing you can do is quit, every time you smoke your babies tiny heartbeat has to beat extremely fast as it struggles for oxygen!
I believe it has its risk as for its tobacco and a form of chemical. Everything has a risk but can't say for sure it will harm the baby. It is just highly not recommended. Do your best to play it safe. That's like me and coffee right now.
My parents do and their house reeks of it, my husband has asthma and when I'm over there just to catch a bus to my job she starts them up without reguarding what it does to me and our baby inside, she knows I'm pregnant Ahd forgets obviously, I don't wanna be rude but God the house smells horrible, I never noticed till my husband married Me and pulled me out of there, he says don't say anything its their house, but our house we don't allow any cigarette smoking period.

So I know this woman who is about as far along as I am (34weeks), and she smokes at least a cigarette everyday, and has been throughout her entire pregnancy. She told me it was because her doctor said that of she "quit cold turkey" that it could have negative effects on the baby because of with drawels, though she had plenty of time to quit by now. Feeling stressed is an ongoing symptom/side effect to quitting smoking. It only takes a few drags to make yourself ruin how good you've been doing and want to start smoking more again. Smoking is also habitual. So if you decide to smoke every time you're stressed that is all you will EVER want to do when you feel that way. You need to find new ways to cope with your stress...because it honestly sounds like that half of a cigarette has brought you nothing but more stress.

If you were raised in a home where others smoked....or if you are in an environment, e.g. public place, workplace, where smoking is permitted, you may have incurred a chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) from second-hand smoke. Also, working in construction, with asbestos or other related materials, or other occupations where chemicals are present (fiber board, plastic manufacturing, etc) you may have damaged lungs without realizing it.
Any thoughts on the electronic cigarette? I'm unsure how the nicotine dose is regulated and any health issues. Could inhaling this vapor cause lung fungus? I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thanks.
however, my husband started on it, then read the possible side effects, got scared and quit taking it. I have not had a cigarette for 5 yrs, he still smokes. Keep in mind the side effects are not inevitable; some people get them, some don't.
The drawback to Chantix is that it's expensive and is not covered by insurance...... insurance companies would rather cover the diseases caused by smoking than a cessation program...... go figure.
