Cialis for bph

Common Questions and Answers about Cialis for bph

cialis

Avatar f tn So with all that being said my two questions are is it possible for me to have BPH? And is the doctor right or should I be looking for someone different since his comment kind of caused me to lose a little bit of confidence in him. Thanks in advance and sorry if I didn't catch any typos!
Avatar n tn I am 51 & have been using Cialis 20 mg for about a year it worked great for about 10 months. It has stopped working the last 2 months. I had my testosterone checked it was 392. My PSA result was 0.68 ng/mL. But I do have some mild prostate pain. I was married for 31 years & have had ED problems for years. I was divorced a year & a half ago. & have had a beautiful new woman in my life for the last 14 months or so.
Avatar n tn I just looked at several websites about this and only found 2 answers. One, there IS a cialis made for women. Two, women should not take cialis for men. No reason was given. Sorry that's all I have for you.
Avatar m tn my whole urologist visit was bizarre, he didn't do a prostate fluid/semen culture but did an exam. maybe he felt my prostate was enlarged, my urine was free from infection.
Avatar m tn The production problem can be as simple as adding arginine (I prefer other amino acids because they are not subject to the arginine paradox which occurs when all that arginine appears in the blood all at once) in a pill to the Cialis. There is direct evidence for Cialis with arginine and propionyl carnitine as a treatment for non responders so there is more to this than meets the eye. That more includes, at least, as a component, homocysteine.
Avatar n tn My uro MD has suggested cryotherapy for My BPH. I have not read or heard much about it being used for this. Would love to know more opinions before going this route.
Avatar m tn I recently rang a number in an advertisement for BPH stating "WE provide a non-surgical non-invasive treatment programme for BPH which can relieve you of all these embarrassing and irritating symptoms"I was told it was a course of treatment of an oral medication made by natural means and would cost around $3000.00 per month and would remove all symptoms.
Avatar n tn I am 64 years old and have had BPH symptoms for about eighteen years. My symptoms have become progressively more severe with time and I probably should be considering some form of surgical intervention. Although the various surgical options are effective, I do not perceive any of them to be an elegant approach to this problem. Therefore, I have made a decision to do nothing in the surgical arena until I absolutely have no other choice.
Avatar m tn I underwent TURP on 11 th Feb for BPH and got discharged after 5 days after removal of catheter I am having a small flow of urine leaking in standing posture and walking mode. My urologist advised Kegel exercise which I am doing.
Avatar n tn There are studies that show the long term efficacy of these drugs. I'm not an expert, but I don't think they just stop working like that. I've been using Cialis for over a year with excellent results.
Avatar m tn I am a 69 year old male with BPH, and a father who had prostate cancer for 15 years, but did not die from it. I have had two bouts of acute prostatitis causing complete retention in the last 7 years, one requiring catheterization. My PSA averages around 2.0, and I take Proscar and Cardura daily. My BPH symptoms are fairly mild causing only about one or two nights a month of nocturia, reduced urine flow, and hardly ever the feeling of urgency.
Avatar n tn The second possible problem could be an enlarged prostate (BPH) causing obstruction of the urethra resulting in retention. BPH usually occurs slowly over decades and I suspect your father was not emptying his bladder completely 3 months prior to the retention episode. This problem (BPH) occurs in over 80% of men. An Alpha blocker (Urimax) is the appropriate drug to try. The question is what to do when the Urimax and prolonged catheter drainage do not reestablish normal voiding?
Avatar m tn Cialis is my favorite ED drug, it's really effective. If spontaneity is an issue, this is definitely the best choice. The effects of Cialis last for 36 hours (hence its name 'weekend pill'), whereas Viagra only lasts for about 4 hours. You should take Cialis on an empty stomach, at least one hour before sex. Don't take more than the prescribed dose.
Avatar m tn t actually done in about a month or two (was completely celibate). I had an intense aching pain in my penis afterwards. The pain has continued for constantly for a year. I also feel like an uncomfortable "pulling" feeling when I get an erection. Note that I haven't had actual sex with anyone in at least 4 years. I saw a urologist initially. He checked for an infection and didn't find one. He did a scope up my penis but didn't see anything but diagnosed me with BPH.
1396517 tn?1500880649 I'm type 2 diabetic and overweight and have not had any erection problems until this year when during foreplay I'd be as hard as a rock, but go soft just before insertion... my wife has been understanding, but it has been frustrating. My Doctor said that erection problems are more common than people think - especially for people over 40 and she could prescribe a generic 'Cialis' if need be but I was too embarrassed to take up the offer.
Avatar m tn Hi! I underwent urethroplasty five years ago, but didn't experience a lowered sexual drive. However, give him time for recovery, a couple of months more. Also he needs your support and understanding (my girlfriend helped me a lot with the recovery). If he had no sexual drive even before the surgery, then inflammatory issues (prostatitis) or mental condition should be also considered. He may also try Viagra or cialis to help him with getting good erection.
Avatar m tn 00 AM, 5 hours ago. Since then I have felt no real change, and I still can't maintain an erection when trying to penetrate my partner. Am I possibly doing something wrong that might interfere with the drug's working? Is there something nobody told me that I'm forgetting? Should I try another drug instead of Cialis?
Avatar f tn My grandfather was operated for bph for which TURP was done and was catheterised for 21 days, now his catheter was removed but he developed urinary retention and catheterised again is there any way his catheter can be removed and he can urinate normally, his age is 81yrs?
Avatar f tn Ultimately, flomax and drugs like uroxatral can be combined to give maximal medical therapy for BPH. Sometimes men continue to have problems and may be candidates for surgical intervention to improve symptoms. Frequently, larger prostates can elevate PSA and lead to biopsy. While there is the possibility that your biopsy will yield cancer, it is likely that the increase in PSA is due to benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).
Avatar f tn I am asking all these questions because my husband had a bad reaction with another medication that this doctor prescribed for BPH. His regular internal medicine doctor said she would not have given such a high dose to a 300 pound man, my husband is only 140 pounds. We really trust his internal medicine doctor which helped him through cancer so this has caused some mistrust with the new doctor.
