Avatar n tn I was a very healthy sexual male until about a month ago, and began experiencing impotence and now just can't stay hard for long. My stool has changed more reddish, and not as solid, i got an std test, and some more blood work done, nothing was found yet. I'm tripping because i just met a new girl and she wants to have sex and i'm unable to, cialis didn't really work, i still lost my erection. What is going on with me.
Avatar m tn I had Prostate Cancer 12 years ago, resolved with Radioactive Seeding. Since that time I have made use of Viagra and Cialis to overcome the ED side affects from the seeding. The effectiveness of these drugs seems to be fading, is this a common situation or more likely just age, weight, etc causing lessening effectiveness?
Avatar n tn From what I have read on the internet and in the book "The invasion of the prostate snatchers..." it can be from 6 months to a year in some cases...everyone is different.
Avatar f tn Oh,yeah!!! It tripled in size and almost full erection and I lie down and foreplay is good and erection is gone. Tried using rings for holding the blood, actually worse. I thought I would ask dr about prescription for Viagra or Cialis to use in conjunction with Trimix. I don’t know if stronger than the triple strength Trimix would help. Just frustration. Hard enough to work wife into making nonentity then it is like a melting popsicles. Once it goes down it never gets close to initial fullness.
Avatar n tn Since surgery of the prostate does do some nerve damage Caverject maybe needed as Viagra and Cialis only assist in obtaining an erection. Caverject will cause an erection even without stimulation. I hope that this is help ful for you. All the best.
Avatar n tn Hi, OA_T - Please understand that you are not alone - this is extremely common with almost all guys who undergo prostate cancer surgery. I’m a prostate cancer survivor, had RALP Jul 31, 2018, so I’m a little over 2 yrs past surgery. I’ve been struggling to get sexual function back ever since, some improvement but not what I had before.
16087137 tn?1445209323 I started taking Viagra with a prescription after my prostate cancer surgery about two years ago. It really worked well but wasn't covered under my new insurance at all after I retired and I think a months supply from Walgreens or CVS (my local pharmacies) cost around $3-$400 per month. I'm not making alot of money right now, and when I mentioned that to my Dr. he unofficially assured me about generic versions made in Canada, that can legally ship to the US.
Avatar m tn I am 73 yrs old and and had hormone treatment and brachytheraphy for prostate cancer approx. 11 yrs ago. I read that the January issue of the Journal of Urology states that men who have had both both can experience significant penis reduction, which has recently happened to me .Is there anything that can be done to stop or reverse this trend?
Avatar n tn I then decided to go to a Urologist and he check my prostate and told that my problems can be due to a prostate inflamation or infection of the prostate. So, he decide to treat the problem as an prostate infection with a drug call Levaquin. After the treatment was over I was able to get an erection for a week and ejaculate without pain. Then all of a sudden I could not get erections.
Avatar n tn Also, a radical prostatectomy seems like an extreme measure for prostatitis! I had a radical prostatectomy in Jul 2018 for prostate cancer, and the effects of that are not to be trifled with - 15+ months later, I’m still struggling to regain sexual function & many things are different, including urination. Believe me, you don’t want this unless it’s to save your life, as in if you’re diagnosed w/ cancer.
Avatar m tn If you take Cialis every other day it will greatly improve the quality of your erections and relax your prostate gland as well. If after this you still can't have intercourse then you might consider Testosterone Therapy although it may not come to this.
Avatar m tn Hi I am 55 yrs ,, i recently had a negative PSA result for prostate cancer..but my DR thought i had some moderate prostatitis cause i did have a UTI sensation(although urine tests were negative but he gave me some cipro). I am medium build , non smoker and i halfway decent shape @ 182 lbs. I am not on any meds except Vitamins. Lately i have weak urine stream, bladder pain but uti sensation is pretty much gone.
Avatar f tn I have not received the order yet but apparently guys on another prostate site have tried it and say it is as good with fewer side effects. The site is called All Day Chemists. I am in Canada and it would cost $115 for 8 tablets here. I am getting 120 tablets for under $100 including shipping.
Avatar f tn My background is that I physically had my prostate removed in 2013. Before that I could get and maintain an erection numerous times as day. I took one pill this morning around 10:30 am. Around 1:00 pm I began feeling light-headed. Don’t know if it is related to the Cialis.
Avatar m tn This may be chronic prostatitis and if that is so there is no effective treatment. Just wonder if s smooth muscle relaxant like Cialis might help?
Avatar m tn I'm having the same problems on Flomax with the retro. I'm also scared about the loss of strength stated on some forums. it says that Flomax relaxes the muscles of the prostate and bladder neck so it seems like it could improve blood flow to the prostate and help treat a prostate infection like I've had with shooting pains for months now.
Avatar m tn Had prostrate surgery 6 months ago, benign prostrate hyper something, it was enlarged. So ED has caused some changes. I call it turtle mode, my little buddy has retracted like a turtle to its shell, he doesn't dangle anymore which may have been from the green light laser surgery, maybe some nerve issues, I can get an erection with help but not hard enough for intercourse.
Avatar m tn Meds are for a stent in my heart and enlarged prostate. I can get an erection before and after intimacy but the minute we start, what's between my ears kicks in. How do I change that ?
Avatar n tn Because semen is manufactured in the prostate gland any interference with it, like biopsy, is going to produce blood in the ejaculate. This is natural and normal and does not require and particular actions on your behalf. There are many reasons why you might experience occasional erectile dysfunction and BP medications would not be high on my list of potential candidates. You might consider taking Cialis 10 mg every other day. This would improve your ED and urine stream at the same time.
Avatar f tn If you go on you tube and enter non invasive procedures for prostate cancer detection or prostaye cancer biopsy needle tracking and you see videos fron universities and prostate research and other different type entries. Any doctor of urology will also tell you it is possible but rarely happens which is not the all together the truth ..I have been researching this and other prostate information for 6 plus years. But enough said ...
Avatar f tn s not me and I believe him because Ive done everything I could to help and every time we r in the middle of sex and he's close to ejaculation he starts going limp and can't get off I've told him about vitamin E because I had an ex with the same problem but i don't know what to do or suggest to help him
Avatar f tn Well, management protocol of prostate cancer is not as well defined as other cancers and largely depends on the stage of the cancer. For localized lesions, gamma knife may be a suitable option with results as good as surgery and better results for maintenance of urinary continence. It would be best to discuss the pros and cons and the expected prognosis in detail with your treating oncologist. Hope this is helpful. Take care!
Avatar f tn BHP is unusual in men under 40. Cancer of the prostate in those under 40 is very unusual also. Other problems such as a urethral stricture could be the cause of your trouble. You certainly should see a good urologist.
Avatar n tn Usually older guys that take Cialis and Viagra and it works in the beggining and then stops later on down the road is when E2 levels go out of range. You should get tested for this ideal range should be between 20-32 pg/dl I think. You should talk to your doctor about taking either DIM or Armidex. You can buy DIM at your local health food store but you should talk to your doctor first and see what he thinks. Good Luck!
428185 tn?1203741789 I was diagnosed Tuesday of this week with early stage prostate cancer, and I think you and I share the same urologist in Arcadia Ca. I am leaning very strongly towards a trip to Germany, and would like to know how you are doing health wise four years on.
Avatar f tn He had a biopsy and he had Gleason 7 cancer and atypical cells in another area of the prostate. After his prostate removal surgery, the atypical cells turned out to be Gleason 6, or 3 + 3, which is slow growing cancer. This is what I have learned with our journey and what you need to remember.... 1). This is a highly curable cancer if it is present. And if it is present, you cannot change it but only deal with what is in front of you.
