Common Questions and Answers about Cialis and high blood pressure

cialis

Avatar m tn I would talk to your doctor about cialis. My husband takes it and it works like a charm. It is not like you have to take it and be ready to go that minute. It works for up to 36 hours so you can take it and when mood is right, you will be ready to go.
Avatar f tn I work long hard hours 6 days a week. I also have ED. I also take meds for high blood pressure, which i believe is my problem. My question is my girlfriend wants sex all the time. Shes never left satisfied. I can barely have intercourse 50% of the time, which makes her feel insecure and that shes the problem. We have lots of oral and i seem to do fine there, but when it comes to making love i get soft even changing positions. Ive tried viagra and cialis.
Avatar m tn //www.rxlist.com/cialis-side-effects-drug-center.htm Please don't take extra - if it's not working for you, you may need to switch medications. Taking more does not increase the likelihood that it will work. It only increases the risk of side effects. https://www.drugs.
Avatar f tn I don't think I'll even try the Diltiazem, kind of scares me based on lot of the negative reviews I've heard about it. I think drinking too much coffee in the mornings may have played a role in the tachycardia. I usually drink 1-4 cups of black coffee. Maybe I'll cut back to one cup and see how that works. I might ask about invabradine.
Avatar f tn Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a condition in which a man has difficulty getting or maintaining an erection. It can be caused by physical or emotional problems. Physical problems include heart disease, diabetes, obesity, and high blood pressure. Emotional problems include stress, anxiety, and depression. If you are experiencing ED symptoms, see your doctor right away for diagnosis and treatment options.
Avatar f tn Yes its normal
Avatar m tn //www.webmd.com/hypertension-high-blood-pressure/news/20121212/beetroot-juice-blood-pressure#1 So, that is worth giving a try, however, I'd still want your doctor to be aware of this. Medications can at times need dosage changes and switches. That needs to be monitored. How are you consuming the beets and at what quantity?
Avatar m tn Erectile Dysfunction (inability to sustain erection) is a very common disorder which most men face in there life at some stage for one reason or the other like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, fatigue, stress, physical injuries, certain medication, smoking and alcohol consumption. Cialis is a FDA approved drug and is used to cure erectile dysfunction in male. Avatar m tn in fact I have used a small amount of weed almost daily for 15 years and I have very low Free T and somewhat high Estradiol... but it varies from person to person, so checking hormone levels is a no-brainer. BTW> The guy you responded to probably needs a penile pump... he sounds like he has a vascular problem that would likely require one... or some other corrective surgery. Likely nothing to do with his weed use.
Avatar m tn I am taking meds for high blood pressure...I was unable to achieve hard erections..my dr prescribed for me Cialis...I was able once again to achieve hard erections..it has been six months and I am not achieving those super hard erections anymore...should I take two pills instead of one everyday?
Avatar f tn s not safe together with nitroglycerine, and possibly not with alpha blockers which dilate the blood vessels, as blood pressure can drop too low (additive effects) from vasodilation. If you still are having tachycardia despite the 25 mg x 2, you can talk to your doctor about increasing the dose. 50 mg is still a small dose. Your discomfort with feeling a rapid heart rate during sex probably contributes to the ED.
Avatar n tn I have high blood pressure and have tried various drugs to lower it. I am told that they will not operate if my BP is high. The complication is that all the BP tablets that I have tried cause erectile dysfunction. The question is - how am I going to ejaculate the bloody mess in my prostate if I can't get an erection? Does it matter if I am unable to discharge this material? What happens if I don't?
Avatar f tn I do think that Viagra was originally developed for blood-pressure issues, and the erectile side effect was noticed later. Maybe this is also true for Cialis. But I'd ask a doctor, (especially if your husband never had swelling in his feet and legs.
Avatar f tn Ok so I've been on Metoprolol 50-100mg a day for about a year for benign tachycardia. It's overall worked good for me. But I've noticed a decline in sexual function, specifically, more difficulty keeping an erection during sex. I'm about to start Cialis, so hopefully that will help regardless, but my cardiologist mentioned that I might try Cardizem. He was suggesting it had fewer sexual side effects.
Avatar n tn Since they both independently dilate the blood vessels, it is conceivable that together they could lower the blood pressure too much. So Viagra is usually not recommended for men with high blood pressure. However, if he has vascular damage which is affecting erections, he should see consult his cardiologist to determine whether Viagra, Cialis, etc. are safe for him. Unless your partner has physiological factors which inhibit erection, there are other many other avenues to explore.
1396517 tn?1500880649 I'm type 2 diabetic and overweight and have not had any erection problems until this year when during foreplay I'd be as hard as a rock, but go soft just before insertion... my wife has been understanding, but it has been frustrating. My Doctor said that erection problems are more common than people think - especially for people over 40 and she could prescribe a generic 'Cialis' if need be but I was too embarrassed to take up the offer.
Avatar n tn How is your overall health? How is your blood pressure and blood circulation? Men lose testosterone as they age but don't know if that's what is happening here and would thin it is more about your blood flow. Do you smoke? Are you overweight? Do you exercise?
915119 tn?1341948989 if your blood pressure is too high it restricts the blood vessels and can stop baby from getting enough blood and oxygen. if it gets extremely high it can cause seizures. are you seeing spots or having blurred vision? I agree with bjbbeauchamp, try nor to stress! and if it goes up any more then go to L&D! its better to be safe than sorry! I have had HORRIBLE swelling in my legs for months now, but no protein in my urine until the other week.
Avatar n tn I am 35 years old and never thought I had HIgh Blood pressure until recently. As I am into my higher studies, when visiting the doctor for a fall, they told me I had high pressure readings of 160/110. My pulse was also high, ( I was diagnosed with tachycardia some years ago which was again put down to stress.) They put it down to anxiety and stress, and gave me atenenol 25 mg. Since then I have developed a fear, and my pulse raises whenever the doctor checks my pressure, and my pressure is high.
Avatar f tn 2wks tomorrow since surgery and still have tingle in feet and hands, and blood pressure still not going down, was 146/97 today. I just dont understand to be like 97/72 up till i fall asleep for surgery and to wake up this high, and stay that way. Dr says he dont know what to do next, what it could be. I know this cant be good to go on now with this high of blood pressure and nothing done about it. I dont know where to turn to next.
Avatar m tn 4 years ago after the birth of my child I was on 4 different medications. Today none, and my blood pressure is 100/60. All the ideas mammo gave you on exercise, low salt diet and more is what helped me get off medications and get my BP back on track. It isnt good to walk around with uncontrolled blood pressure so for sure get in as soon as you can and get things sorted around with your doctor.
