There is a pregnant women Medicaid in Texas or Chip Perinatal program depending on your income you either have a co-payment or not. It (chip perinatal) only covers up to 20 Dr visits and 2 post partum visit. After that it only covers the baby. I looked into insurances but they are pretty expensive like $400 amonth,(for me at the time). If not talk to your Dr they can put you on a payment plan they usually give like 10-20% off to self pay.

It has pregnancy too but ive never heard of it before.

Sooooo Medicaid denied me and told me to reapply! And husbands insurance wont give me coverage because pregnancy is a preexisting condition. And he tried to work it to where it would cover my bills under His name but hey, being an expectant father is a preexisting condition, too! You're okay to wait. I think the only test you may miss out on is the Nuchal Translucency test...they do this at about 14 weeks. It's an ultrasound and they also do blood markers around this point. However, you're young and it may not even be something they'd do on you anyways. Is CHIPS a Medicaid program? You should be able to get on it fairly quickly. Just keep calling them a lot. But in general you're not missing anything too important at this point.

Now, how much they pay could be iffy so you're best bet is to call or ask your mom to call.
