Avatar f tn Anyway it is really embarrassing to go to a gym and my family gives me no support so I never do it at home. Where should I workout?? Should I just tough trough it and get a gym membership? The problem is there has to be a gym that is open at 11 since that would be my only time to workout. What should I do? Should I just continue to do vigorous house work and walking the dog? Or should I just get a gym membership? Thanks I appreciate it!

1292438 tn?1276120904 Tighten your core and hold it that way for the duration of the exercise [A]. Lift one foot off the floor and slowly raise your knee as close to your chest as you can without changing your lower-back posture. Then repeat with your other leg. Alternate back and forth for 30 seconds. If that’s too hard, place your hands on the floor or a bench.
Avatar n tn Hello all, I have noticed recently, during my weightlifting routines at the gym, that I will occasionally get a fluttering sensation in my heart that lasts about 10 to 15 seconds and occurs randomly while lifting weights or doing abdominal exercises, but oddly enough never during cardio workouts such as running or swimming (chance?). These "flutters" are quite worrisome, as I feel as if my heart may not recover it's consistent beat sometimes.
Avatar m tn At the end of August I was continuing to do P90x workouts although not in great shape but good enough to keep up with them. I went bowling one night after I was already sore from a vigourous workouts throughout the week. Ever since then I have had moderate to severe pain underneath and behind my right rib cage and into my chest. It feels like a have a ball stuck behind there many times and I can't even sleep on my right side.
Avatar f tn I worked out 4-56 times a week and now I can barely get 3 workouts in. I even made a schedule for a specific pregnancy workout I found on pinterest and walking and elliptical. We just have to listen to our bodies I guess! I felt Bette when I went to the doctor today because they told me to work out 3 maybe 4 days a week and only for a maximum 20 min..
Avatar n tn What do you ladies do for workouts while pregnant? Any schedules or specifics you follow? Any good advice? Im really trying to keep my body in shape.
Avatar n tn I want to workout my abs and thighs. Any workouts that you have in mind to help me workout?
Avatar m tn I know it burns calories and it works body muscles, but i am not seeking to lose weight, my weight is normal and good. I am doing all body muscles workouts at home (sometimes intense workout) including abdominal workouts. I want to start swimming for a while and i want to know what are the benefits of swimming, and what will my muscles and abs benefit from it.
Avatar f tn Hi, If with movement you are getting the chest pain it is likely to be an inflammation of the skin, subcutaneous tissue or the bone. This can happen with injury, repetitive activity or an infection of the skin. Sometimes it can be costochondritis, inflammation of the sternal rib junction. If the pain is aggravated with work or exercise then it could be due to cardiac pain. But as the tests are normal its unlikely you have angina. Pain can increase the heart rate.
Avatar m tn My chest has been hurting from the middle part up to my collar bone on the right side of my chest. I breath in normally and it sends sharp pain. I havnt done any extreme workouts in the past week. I think it could he from my job Since we don't have any real ventilation in the kitchen. I think that the grease and heat is getting to my lungs or something in me. I don't have any health insurance yet. Waiting to hear from work about the insurance but Its getting hard to wait.
Avatar m tn Does anyone know what the one best workout or workouts I can do for my chest, arms to grow an inch or 2
Avatar f tn Perform the standard crunch by lying on your back with your legs slightly bent, feet on the floor and arms crossed over your chest. Slowly lift your shoulder blades off the floor, keeping your chin off of your chest to avoid straining your neck. Hold the position for two seconds and return to your starting position. As you lift your shoulders off of the floor, your abdominal muscles will contract, toning your stomach muscles. Tone your lower abdominals by doing the reverse crunch.
Avatar m tn t know what it is I stopped my workout once it happened now it feels kind of tender right in the center of my chest I feel it when I take off my shirt what should I do can I return to the gym as usual my workouts were going so well and I don't want to stop going all together what should I do
Avatar f tn Cardio - take your son on walks to a park that's a 20-30 min walk away, walking at a moderate pace. There's also walking clubs, and probably walking clubs that are just for Mum's! You can also do jogging, if you're up to it. You could even walk at faster paces each week till you're ready to do jogging :) There's also high intensity training you can do at home, just google "HIT workouts" (or search Pinterest !
Avatar m tn I stopped, walked and felt better, and then I tried running again and stopped again with the chest pressure. I thought I was having a heart attack. I went home took my blood pressure and it was fine. For the next few weeks I would try jogging and would get the chest pressure. I finally went to the Dr and took an EKG, chest x-ray, blood work and 3 breathing test. All were OK. I started walking at about 14 minute miles, which is a pretty good walking pace.

Avatar f tn I have recently joined the gym and changed my eating habits drastically but I will admit with the chest pains I am afraid to really pick up the intensity in my workouts. Where am I health wise? My family physician thinks I’m crazy at this point and the ER is tired of seeing me. I'm embarrassed to go and that's a scary feeling also because if something is wrong I don't know how quick I will be to go.
Avatar m tn I have had right side rib and chest pain for four months after P90x workouts. I am a healthy 27 year old male 6'3" 190 pounds. I have had x-rays, blood tests and an ultrasound but no MRI yet. I feel like it's most likely bad muscle tearing or other injury from the workouts as everything else came up negative.
Avatar f tn I was still feeling bad and then suddenly my chest and arms started to get numb. The numbness lasted for only 15-20 seconds. My wife advised that we need to go to the hospital. We visited emergency where they conducted an EKG that was showed abnormal. They then conducted bloodwork that all showed normal. They set up a stress test 2 weeks away and sent me home. I advised them I was dizzy at that point but they said I was fine.
Avatar n tn Starting from arm workouts (using 5lb weights and resistance bands) then followed by workouts that can be done at home later. (Squats, dips, etcetera ). I was not every active pre pregnancy but I would like to keep my body tight. Will this do any harm to my unborn? Thanks.
