1149379 tn?1261809768 Yes when i am extremely anxious my head spins and i feel so dizzy, makes the world feel so scary, which makes my anxiety worse, dizziness gets worse, its a circle of fear. Chest pains and tightness is part of the package as well sorry to say..... learning breathing exercises will ease the pain and tightness and also the dizziness.....the key is learning to breath from your diaphram while having an attack, cause while having an attack you breath high up in the chest which causes the symptoms....
323615 tn?1226193396 Pulse rate of 146? Is this too high for 90-year-old woman who has tightness in her chest and shortness of breath? The pulse rate was 146. It is now 66. The shortness of breath is no longer. Nor is the tightness in chest felt now. Do I need to let this go since my mom is feeling okay now? Or do I need to consider this an emergency even though the symptoms have subsided? Will someone please help me with this question?
1144520 tn?1277115601 My left chest tightness/pressure, radiates to back shoulder, left upper arm, left under arm and left hand :)
Avatar f tn I had a follow up in November for my prehypertension (I got my blood pressure back to normal cause I lost 12 pounds) and I told my doctor about some chest pain that I have been having. So she put me on a holter monitor for 24 hours and nothing so I got put on a event monitor for 30 days and on Christmas Eve I had an episode and they called me saying I have an irregular heart beat. So I got to feel the joy of what it feels like to be a lab rat.
Avatar f tn Extremely debilitating fatigue, tightness and pain in chest, worsening weakness in arms/hands/legs/feet, frequent kidney stones, and tachycardia.
Avatar f tn I have had episodes of sudden chest tightness while sitting (no warning). No pain really. Sometimes it leads to near syncope (black vision, sweating, dizziness..). I have had heart tests that have not seen anything (echo, stress test). It may be vaso-vagal syncope but I am concerned that it is always preceded by chest tightness first (center, near neck) it happens sitting and it is very sudden onset. Are there other possibilities?
Avatar f tn I CANNOT INHALE OR EXHALE PROPERLY/severe tightness from my Chest to down my upper abdomen around rib cage tightness and goes to my back and spine. Dizziness and sometimes feel faint. Symptoms are all day and night. They only get worse. I cannot do my normal activities due to this. Will be trying a bronchilador that pulmonologist gave me but he is not sure this is asthma. I don’t wheeze and my oxygen doesn’t drop.
Avatar n tn I'm not sure if this question is under the right forum but here goes. I have been experiencing a dull pain and tightness on the side and under my left breast. At times I'll get the slightest sensation of being out of breath. The last time it happened it felt like something near my heart did a backflip. I'm a relatively in shape 21 year old with no history of any sort of problems. It's been happening a few times a month.
Avatar n tn I have had 2 failed heart ablations -2008. I am taking 2 meds to control "fast heart rate" Flecinide 50mgs bid and Sotalol 40mgs bid. Have severe chest tightness or a feeling of pressure on my chest, Is due to the failed heart ablations or the meds I am taking. My weight is 115 pounds. My initial diagnoses was Atrial tachycardia.
Avatar m tn tall and currently weight about 130lbs. For the past 3-4yrs I have been having tightness in my chest (on the left side, in the region surrounding the heart). It seems to come on randomly, and seems to be present very often during the day - I notice it more when I am sitting (especially when I hunch). And there are some days when I don't seem to detect it (it is probably there, but I don't notice it).
Avatar f tn I also had a couple of episodes of tightness in chest, sob, and substernal pressure . Stress test with echo (done with meds) neg except mild aortic sclerosis. 30 day holter showed repeated bouts of bradycardia and tachycardia. and a "wide based supraventricular tachycardia with mophology change" on it. I am a nurse and to me these look like runs of V tach.
Avatar n tn Often when I first stand up or involve with heavy lifting, I feel strong pressure in that spot deep in my chest and often I get feelings of cold and/or warmth spreading through my body along with lightheadedness and weakness. Even at rest I have this heavy tightness in my chest that just feels like something is choking my chest inside. Not to mention the palpitations that I always feel in this same spot.
Avatar f tn Recent symptoms - always tired, long lasting headaches that come and go. some night sweats (my body feels like its giving off heat- with chest tightness but not often. Slow heart beat - can be in the 50's at rest (goes up to 90's when moving around) and during sleep drops into the 40's. Less often I get Tachycardia in the low 100's or high 90's. I feel best when my HR is high 60's to mid 70's. I see my cardiologist next month but I want to ask for specific tests.
Avatar f tn I woke up a week later with really bad tachycardia in my sleep that went on for a few days until I went on a beta blocker. Then I started to have more symptoms I started having spasms in my body they are not extremely severe or painful. But I have extreme tightness in my neck in the front right now like somebody is strangling me all the time and trouble breathing at times. The paint in the front of my neck is so bad that I have to take muscle relaxer's Robaxin.
Avatar f tn The beta blocker Im on seems to lower my heart rate, but when I stand up to walk I still get chest and throat tightness, feel like my heart is beating in my throat, lightheadedness, and just a spaced out feeling. Does this every go away? Are there meds. for this? I dont want to sit all day and I would like to get back to work? Anyone else like this?
Avatar n tn thanks for your comment i went to a chest doctor (i suspected its a respiratory problem ) .. she put the stethoscope on my chest and back several times listening to my lung sounds and she told me that there is no problem with my lungs and its a stress or anxiety and prescribed Motival 1 tablet at night ....
Avatar f tn When I squat down as I am rising it feels like my heart swells in my chest and stops. It sometimes makes me cough slightly. I also notice them when I walk up stairs. It has been more pronounced since I have been on metoprolol last 2 years. If I happen to take bp after I climb stairs I do notice diastolic bp drops into 50s. I have told my electrophysilogist and cardiologist and they just say okay and move on. So am assuming its nothing but just wonder what it is or if others have it.
Avatar m tn Yes, I absolutley get chest discomfort with pressure/tightness that goes up to my throat & into my face during SVT and sometimes it will come on before and stick around after. Unpleasant, I know. I hope your echo comes back ok.
Avatar f tn I was diagnosed w/ atrial tachycardia in August after 3 trips to the ER from severe attacks. When I would have an "attack", my HR would spike in the 200s, BP would spike, extreme tightness in my chest and throat w/ a burning censation that would radiate down my left arm, lump in my throat, flushing, numbness in extremeites, weakness, faint like feeling, metallic taste, completely dry mouth and hollowness throughout my entire body. Are you having these symptoms?
612876 tn?1355514495 t have that feeling of chest pain and tightness with it. Does anyone else get pain/tightness sensations when their heart rate or blood pressure isn't stable? Should I have taken it more seriously and gone to the ED even though it isn't usually an emergency when that happens to me? How would you know if you were having a heart attack? Are we more susceptible to heart attacks? Sorry, I probably seem like I'm freaking out.
Avatar f tn At this point I am still having intermittent chest tightness and shortness of breath/discomfort. Has anyone else experienced this? I followed up with my cardiologist and he said that my heart is swollen from the procedure and these symptoms I have could last up to 3 months post surgery. I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this after an ablation. My doctor saying it is normal helps some, but the surgeon that did the procedure said I would be 100% in 3 days.
Avatar f tn I would call your Dr as it sounds like you need something like Albuterol but you don't use one because it triggers your SVT. As an asthmatic and somebody with SVT and atrial tachycardias, I use Advair daily and have an albuterol inhaler if needed. While the albuterol can cause some tachycardia, Albuterol doesn't stay in the system for all that long and I value my breathing more than my SVT most days.
